I know this is a random question, but can Ivan, his sisters or the Baltic’s, play any instruments?

I've written a scene where Ivan plays the balalaika, because of course. And let's just add accordion in there. He is probably classically trained in either in the violin or the cello, although he might not play them very often. (I feel like most nations either know how to play piano or violin just as part of their aristocratic backgrounds)

I've also written that Raivis can play the kokle, which is a Latvian traditional instrument and really beautiful. During the 60's he learned how to play jazz trumpet, got a little famous in the underground jazz bars in Moscow, and still play in jazz bands today.

I actually hc that Liet is pretty bad at music and generally sings/plays out of tune 😅I'm basing this off of @kyuhu's work, but Liet probably learned some string instruments during the Commonwealth (like the lute or smth?? idk) to "serenade" Feliks but he was never very good at at it. Feliks was very charmed by this and never complained.

Ed prefers singing to playing instruments, but he probably got basic training on piano. I could also see him picking up electric guitar and/or drum set because of his and Tino's obsession with metal bands.

I could see Natalia playing piano and violin; she could probably whip out some traditional songs on violin that are surprisingly good.

I don't know a lot about Ukrainian folk instruments but of course Katya would make a point to preserve her culture and be able to play a few. She probably participates in a lot of festivals and performs with her people there.
