  —“No way, really?” He was pretty surprised that Zero had heard and he hadn’t, for mostly the same reasons the former noted. That actually brought a smile to his face, though, as he looked at his friend.

  “Maybe I’ll have to try changing your mind, if we’ve got the free time. I’m sure you’d like something they’re showing.”

—- Demonic presence is at an astonishing low here. Wherever… ‘here’ is, that is. The Slayer trudges along, Super Shotgun gripped so tight in hand, gaze drifting around slowly, as he takes in the sights. Now, the hell walker is used to winding up in strange places, but there’s a definitive sense that something is particularly different about this area. It was more… pristine than the UAC bases on Mars, much more advanced than Earth… so just where had he ended up?

—- Well, he wouldn’t get much of a chance to ponder, for as soon as he hears footsteps that aren’t his own, the Doom Slayer whips around. Shotgun now pointed toward the approaching individual, his finger twitches on the trigger, ready to spew lead at a moments’ notice if given reason to.

  —For what it was worth, the Doom Slayer wasn’t the only one confused. The people of Abel City were used to threats, but that was at least in the form of Mavericks. There was little that seemed outwardly human about the Slayer, but that was just a literal shotgun in his hands. No gimmicky Storm Tornado or Shotgun Ice, but real, live rounds and deadly lead. 

  Though his talents were often reserved for Mavericks, their Hunters still felt it necessary to send the best of the best to take a look. So Zero approached him, after teleporting in some distance away. Though he didn’t truly mean to startle whoever this was (if he even could be startled), the Reploid still gripped the Z-Saber’s handle tightly on his back. Just in case.

  “Easy. Don’t do something you’ll regret.” Blue eyes drifted from the Doom Slayer’s visor to the Super Shotgun. “Any reason you feel like carrying a primitive weapon like that around?”
