Chinese President Xi Jinping doubles down on China’s relationship with North Korea, saying there is “great importance” to the association between the 2 nations.
Xi was cited by North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency on Saturday as saying, “The world, the times, and history are now changing in an unprecedented way,” reports Bloomberg. The Chinese president added, “Under the new situation, I am ready, together with you, to make a fresh and positive contribution to provide the peoples of our two countries with greater well-being.”
Xi’s reported comments come during heightened tensions between the 2 countries and the rest of the world. North Korea has regularly launched a series of missile tests recently along with some that had been detected by Japan close to the Korean Peninsula. Another test from the hermit state reportedly saw the usage of an intercontinental ballistic missile that had the potential to reach the U.S. mainland.

I failed to listen to the groans of the holy spirit which made me a poor representation of you,” the suspect wrote, 31-year-old Andre Bing. “I was harassed by idiots with low intelligence and a lack of wisdom. I remained strong through most of the torment but my dignity was completely taken away beyond repair by my phone being hacked.”

Mr. Pence did reject related overtures to take part in Congress’ separate investigation into the January 6 Capitol riot, but he allegedly sees the Justice Department’s criminal investigation as potentially a possible alternative.

Vigils were held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Sunday in honor of the 5 individuals who were killed during a shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub.
“This club was a refuge for our community,” patron Bird Berg told The New York Times during a prayer vigil at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. “I’m completely devastated at how this can happen again and again.”
Police state that a gunman had entered Club Q and had opened fire shortly before midnight. A handgun and long gun with an AR-15-style platform was found at the scene. Two “heroic” patrons stopped the shooter, grabbing his weapon and hitting him with it, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers stated.
At least 5 people were killed in the attack, which happened just hours after a drag show ended. There were over two dozen injured. The violence shocked the club’s patrons, who called Club Q “the go-to place” for LGBTQ residents and others in the community.
The club operated for years with no report of threats, and “it’s just always very, very welcoming no matter who or what you are,” Dawn Barron told The Washington Post. Barron collaborated with Club Q on fundraisers and Pride events, and said “to have something like this is just, I can’t even really wrap my brain around it.”

With a tiny majority assured, House Republicans are now confronted with the fact of actual governance and the calls for the once-fringe idea of impeaching President Biden has now turned into a majority opinion, according to a new Morning Consult/Politico poll.
With 28% of the nation total saying a GOP House investigation into if Biden needs to be impeached was a “top priority,” that number nearly doubled to 55% amongst GOP respondents, while 6% of Democrats agreed.
Notably, GOP support for investigating Hunter Bidens finances, a major source of conservative ire and conspiratorial theorizing is a bit lower than their interest in an impeachment investigation, with 52% of GOP respondents calling it a precedence for the incoming Congress. 7% of Democrats agreed.

President Biden condems gun violence and attacks on the LGBTQ community after a mass shooting Saturday evening at Club Q in Colorado.
The president said that “no motive” yet determined in the shooting, but considered the attack to the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Florida 6 years ago. Police say 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich killed 5 people and injured 18 more in his assult.
“While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the LGBTQI+ community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years,” Biden wrote.
“Gun violence continues to have a devastating and particular impact on LGBTQI+ communities across our nation and threats of violence are increasing. We saw it 6 yearsago in Orlando, when our nation suffered the deadliest attack affecting the LGBTQI+ community in American history.”
“We must address the public health epidemic of gun violence in all of its forms. Earlier this year, I signed the most significant gun safety law in nearly three decades, in addition to taking other historic actions. But we must do more. We need to enact an assault weapons ban to get weapons of war off America’s streets,” he said.

The parents of Idaho murder victim, Kaylee Goncalves, say their daughter’s ex-boyfriend is innocent and that she had reached out to him several times the day the murders occured.
Steve and Kristi Goncalves joined Lawrence Jones on “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” on Fox News Saturday evening to say why they believe officials are “wasting their time” investigating Kaylee’s ex-boyfriend, Jack, after she and her roommates were killed in the small town of Moscow.
“They’re wasting their time with Jack,” Kristi tells Jones. “And Jack is just as distraught as we are. Jack is our family. Jack is 1,000%. 2,000% our family, and Jack is with us, and we stand behind him 100%.”
“We are supporting him, and we all know in our hearts and our minds and our souls and the depths of our soul, Jack is hurting,” she continued. “Kaylee and Jack would have eventually been married. They would have eventually been married, and they would have eventually had children.”
Kristi said that Kaylee and Jack were dating for years, saying the two had been on track to get back together after spending time apart.
Kaylee and her roommate reportedly called Jack seven times shortly before 3 AM. Investigators had say the students had been stabbed to death while sleeping on early Sunday morning between 3 and 4 AM in a Moscow, Idaho, house on the college campus, according to police.
Two additional roommates of the King Road home had been at the house when the murderstook place, but they’re not considered to be suspects in the murders.

Elon Musk says he will eventually find another person to run the social media brand, Reuters reported, and is considering doing the same with Tesla.
Musk’s remarks came during testimony in a Delaware court, during which he took the stand in a lawsuit over his $56 billion pay package from Tesla. The lawsuit claims that the package was based on simply achievable targets authorized handpicked board of directors.
Per Reuters, investors at Tesla are concerned that Musk is giving an excessive amount of attention to Twitter. Musk stated, “There’s an initial burst of activity needed post-acquisition to reorganize the company, but then I expect to reduce my time at Twitter.”

A federal judge striuck down Title 42, a Trump-era policy which permitted U.S. authorities to expel over one million migrants that crossed the southern border ostensibly to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Title 42 was enacted by the Trump administration at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. But, the Biden administration has relied on it to address the growing number of migrants crossing the U.S. & Mexico border seeking asylum. Before Title 42, officials processed asylum seekers arrested at the border under immigration laws.
Washington, D.C. District Judge Emmet Sullivan found the policy “arbitrary and capricious,” violating federal laws. Sullivan sided with asylum seekers represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, deciding that government agencies had not indicated how the rule benefited public health.
He blamed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for “its decision to ignore the harm that would be caused” by the policy. He also noted that officials failed to provide options before issuing the order.

The 2022 midterms elections was disappointing for Republicans as Democrats hold onto their Senate majority even with Joe Biden’s record-low approval ratings.
Usually, the party for a first-term president doesn’t do well in midterm elections. Also, polling and other data indicated that Democrats had been behind in key Senate races in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada.
Still, the party was able to win all of these races. Battleground state Georgia will go to a runoff election next month between Incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican challenger Herschel Walker.
The losses in the Senate for the GOP has seen in-fighting as some Republicans look to blame Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and former President Donald Trump. In the House, Republicans could barely gain a majority, and GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy recently won the party nomination for speaker of the House after defeating Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs.

The world population is predicted to hit 8 billion, an incredible milestone in human history. This comes just 11 years after the population reached 7 billion.
The population has grown fast for nearly all of humanity’s existence. Between 1 C.E. and 1650, the population grew just 200 million, however, the world is now expected to reach another half a billion by 2030.
The growth is attributed to the increase in life expectancy mostly due to the medical developments. The U.N. predicts that the population will peak at around 10.7 billion in the 2080s. However, population development is at it's slowest its been since 1950, and was even under 1% in 2020.

Here are 35 things Donald Trump has said about President Joe Biden:
On Joe Biden’s track record in politics
1. “You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together, and they would not have done the damage that Joe Biden has done in one year.” [April 21, 2022]
2. “Joe Biden has turned calm into chaos, competence into incompetence, stability into anarchy and security into catastrophe.” [Feb. 28, 2022]
3. “With every decision, Joe Biden twisted a knife into the hands and hearts of the American worker.” [Sept. 21, 2021]
4. “For 47 years, Joe Biden viciously attacked Black Americans. He called young black men ‘super predators.’ To every black American: I am asking for your vote. This is your one and only chance to show Sleepy Joe what you think of his decision to attack you, jail you, and betray you!” [Nov. 2, 2020]
5. “He’s following the radical left agenda: take away your guns, destroy your Second Amendment, no religion, no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt God. He’s against God, he’s against guns.” [Aug. 10, 2020]
6. “Sleepy Joe Biden is just a Trojan Horse for the Radical Left Agenda. He will do whatever they want!” [Jul. 29, 2020]
7. “Sleepy Joe has been in politics for 40 years, and did nothing. Now he pretends to have the answers. He doesn’t even know the questions. Weakness will never beat anarchists, looters or thugs, and Joe has been politically weak all of his life.” [Jun. 2, 2020]

Threats of politically motivated violence and actual attacks are on the rise. Why is this happening?
Here is everything you should know:
When did the political violence start to surge?
Politically motivated violence has been around throughout American history, but the current uptick began with the election of Donald Trump as president in 2016.
Since Trump took office, threats aimed at members of Congress have increased 10-fold, with 9,625 incidents reported within the last year. The FBI has tripled its domestic terrorism budget, and the U.S. Justice Department has created task forces to research the ongoing threats aimed at public officials.
A man in MAGA rhetoric and QAnon online conspiracy theories recently broke into the San Francisco home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, hoping to cripple her with a hammer. She was not there, so he went on to assult and fractured her husband’s skull.
In the past year, right-wing militia members in Michigan had been convicted of plotting to kidnap Democratic governor Gretchen Whitmer, while an armed man was arrested outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s ...

Elon Musk said that filing bankruptcy is a possibility for his newly acquired company, after laying off half of the workers, which was 7,500 earlier this year, and made changes to the platform causing users, brands, and advertisers to leave Twitter.
“Sorry that this is my first email to the whole company, but there is no way to sugarcoat the message,” Musk wrote to employees. “Without significant subscription revenue, there is a good chance Twitter will not survive the upcoming economic downturn.”
Musk sold nearly $4 billion worth of Telsa stock since buying Twitter for $44 billion last month. He informed Twitter employees that he was selling Telsa’s stock in an effort to “save Twitter.”
On top of major layoffs and the platform changes, Musk informed staff in an email that they are required to return to the workplace for a minimum of 40 hours a week, ending Twitter’s work-from-home policy. He also stated that he must personally approve any remote work requests.
