Just a little update:

My family had a really nasty scare right after my birthday and we're still calming down from it. So I haven't had a lot of mental energy to write etc.

When I have written I realized that what was going to be the next SP arc is moving too fast, so I'm going to extend the current arc and in put a few of the plot points from the next to space it out a bit more. The first chapter of the next arc will probably be a Dead End chapter eventually

I'm drawing things for me, to feel better. But even more than that, I'm playing Minecraft again. So I'm heavily unmasking and building subway train systems between all the areas. Even though using a controller is slower, it doesn't hurt my hands or wrist so I can play with everyone for longer

Remember when tumblr announced the sale of your posts to openAi?

In the staff post that avoided talking about it by mentioned the new ‘no-ai’ setting they mentioned that if you had your tumblr blog already hidden from search engines, they automatically had turned that setting on for you by default. I remember thinking “well, in this sea of shit, turning it on by default for those who already cared about privacy is at least a decent gesture”.

But. But!

I had just been sniffing around a bit (of course I didn’t want to copy tumblr’s robots.txt to use it in goblin, what are you saying, that’s outrageous!) and I just realized about something. This is tumblr’s robots.txt (the file that tell crawlers what they can access and what not) when you have the ‘discourage external search" on.

Basically, any bot is discouraged from searching any page on your blog. Any bot. Including the AI ones. So if you have the “don’t show up in search engines” box, you already were as protected as tumblr can protect your posts from being read by AI trainers. So yeah, that good gesture was basically smoke and mirrors to distract people from the fact they were already selling their data.

But what happens if you want to allow google & bing & the rest to index your blog, but turn on the ‘no-ai’ setting? Then the robot.txt file of your blog changes:

Yeah, that’s a list of known AI services crawlers you gently request to not read your blog. Can you see something missing?

Oh yeah, it seems they have forgotten to disallow GPTBot, the crawler from OpenAi. You know, the company Automattic signed a deal with to sell Tumblr’s data. So well, even if you turn the infamous “no-ai” setting on tumblr, tumblr won’t block openAi bots from reading your site. They will block all its competitors, but not openAi.

Patreon Tier Update

In March I added a bunch of new Tiers so I figured it was time to explain what is currently happening over there :3

Tier1 - $1 - First Served

You get to see the latest pages of my comics and illustrations as soon as I finish them. You won't have to wait for posting day. (This includes the art for the written chapters, and sometimes excerpts of the written part being drawn.)

Examples:

Tier2 - $2 - Draftsmen

You get to see the same as tier1, some of the sketch drafts, practice and concept art for my stories I do through out the month -most won't be posted anywhere else. (character outfit sketches, test scenes, etc)

Tier4 - $5 - Resources

Same as all lower Tiers + The brushes and other resources I make -including test versions. I also make a lot of poses for CSP models but since I can't export them, members in this tier will be able to request 1 pose a month (this will be limited to the first 4 requests I get every month). The final versions of all of the resources will be made available on the CSP store. Most of the brushes and things I make are decorations and effect brushes to make drawing faster. (This will also have demos for using different types of models and other resources)

NSFW Tiers with censored examples under the cut. Members of those tiers get the uncensored versions

Tier3 - $4 - NSFW Art

Same as lower art Tiers (does not include Resources) + NSFW art -these are nude anatomy studies, as well as spicy character and shipping art. I am into bondage so that will appear periodically.

In what ways do you relate to Sinbad and should I be concerned about that?

This was in response to an ask where I said that part of how I handle Sin and Mori's interactions is by thinking about King Sinbad x Queen Sinbad because I relate to him so much. I can't find where that ask is, or I'd link it. It was about a world where both versions of Sinbad exist at the same time and how that might go.

Sorry, for the later reply. I didn't want to respond to this one until I had the chapter up that starts to address why I relate to Sinbad.

But do you have to worry about what Mori will do? Probably not.

Sinbad became a problem because he is human and was in a position that hurts others no matter what he does. I am not in such a position. However, I can't deny the curiosity of putting my self insert in a position where they are also forced to confront the damage they can do. However x2, one of my goals is to make sure this story has a happy ending for my self insert. So that means I can't let them become a villain and die instead of or as well as Sinbad. For the past 15+ years I haven't been able to envision a self insert character with a happy ending. I had a habit of dropping a story when I realized I couldn't figure out how to give the characters a happy ending. I know that is because of my CPTSD, and I really want to break that cycle with this fic.

Heyya!. I just want u to know that i've just read your latest fic on ao3 NONSTOP for about 4-5 hours last night and i definitely confident to say that your fic is asuperb work of art...

It's rare to see that kind of fic like you've been working for the last few years... A story with additional comic is really such a breath of fresh air to me these days...

Please, don't stop continuing this super duper amazing fic of yours even. I'm trying not to ask nor demand you to update the fic rightaway, but at least i don't want my hopes got away after just found out about this fic of yours in less than 24 hours...

I have no intentions of stopping. I'm making it for me most of all, and it's been super entwined with my growth as a person and writer/artist.

I always write 2-3 chapters at one time, so if one is posted it's because I have the start of the next set drafted. I just posted ch38, and my drafts go up ch41. There's only one more left in the current arc being posted. I need to do some final edits and the art which hopefully won't take more than 2 weeks. However, I won't start the art until I get ch41 more finalized and get ch42 started. Working multiple chapters at once helps balance the flow in and between arcs.

If I ever hit a point where I think I can't work on Sindria's Prophet ever again, I'll post all of the remaining drafts for whatever arc that ends up being without art. I don't see that happening though since this is not only the only story I'm posting right now, it is extremely meaningful for me, and I can't deny that it's where most of my paying members on Patreon are coming from. The help with the groceries has been extremely important. That pressure does more to make sure I don't lose track of time so I actually finish and post, and not a feeling of obligation tho. I am extremely grateful for the support I've gotten thank to this fic :3

On why writing & art:

I can't tell any story without also drawing it. I'm a visual thinker so I always feel like something vital is lost if I have to describe it in words alone. When I was little I wanted to make animations, but I realized when I was 12 that it would take too long, so I started making comics. I posted my first comics online on dA. They are still up if you find the account.

As it turns out, making comics takes much longer than just writing, and I am but one person. And I also eventually figured out that since I often use writing to process my own experiences there are topics that I want to write about that upset or even trigger me if I draw them to the point I will basically drop a story if I have to draw a long scene of them. That what's happening with my og series PBSN on tapas&webtoons if any one's been wondering why it only updates like 1ce a year now. So with this fic I have figured out how to do a combination of writing and comics. Now I can tell a story in a more timely fashion without losing as much of what's going on in my head as possible AND it has the added bonus of not having to draw the topics/emotions that stop me so I can actually keep working on it :D

But yeah, I am going to keep going with Sindria's Prophet until I reach the end :3
