It's 6AM

I haven't slept yet. Was getting ready to go to bed and my mom's new kitten just sought me out for snuggles and now I'm sitting here with her laying in my arms. ;o; So tiny.

I think she sensed I'm tired because she just released my arms to go drink some water.

So the last time you were asked about your Animal Crossing sprites, you stated you began making brand new ones and were on the Anteater villagers. It's been a year now since that Ask, and I would like to know what the current progress of the project is.

Won't lie, I'm goin at this hella slow but that's mostly because my life schedule is effed for the foreseeable future. I make sprites when I feel up to it. And I sleep on and off during the day because I have to babysit my Alzheimer's riddled grandmother because my mom can't leave her office while she's working that often because she's usually on a call with someone. Which means when I'm not sleeping because I'm tired/depressed/anxious, I'm usually playing games to distract myself from being tired/depressed/anxious.

What do I have done so far?

Alligators? 100%. Anteaters? 100%

I have done 5 of the bears so far. But I have the base sprite for the Bear cubs, birds, bulls, cows, and cats done already so that won't slow me down once I've finished the bears. (Fuck my brain keeps wanting to type 'DA BEARS'.)

I'm also trying to make the sizes of the animals beside each other somewhat match in game. Which means when I make a new base I have to look around at pictures comparing heights.

Don't think I'm getting annoyed at you asking about it. I'm not, honest. Just hoping no one gets mad at me for dragging my feet so hard on this.

Since Legends Arceus's Starters weren't from the region it's set in, I think it's a safe bet the same will apply to Z-A. The question is which Starters will we get this time. I think Piplup and Snivy are shoo-ins since Empoleon is literally based on Napoleon and the Snivy family was inspired by French history and culture. Predicting who the Fire Starter will be is tough, though, cuz none of them really scream "LE FRANÇAIS S'INTENSIFIE" (to me, anyway).

So here's something I realized with Legends Z-A's 2025 release. Excluding all the DLC in Galar and Paldea, this will mark the longest gap between mainline Pokemon games at 775 days at the earliest. This will also mark the first time where mainline Pokemon will skip two years in a row (again, discounting DLC), so this does give me a glimmer of hope that Game Freak will actually take their time to cook up something actually really good instead of stuff like base game Scarlet and Violet.

Well apparently the pokemon company or someone tweeted that the game will take place entirely inside Lumiose city... so they better be doing something crazy interesting with it to make me want to play. I like nature I don't wanna spend my whole game urban exploring.

Now... let's talk Paris Catacombs, gamefreak. That could at least make things interesting for a bit. But c'mon, please let that entirely in Lumiose be a mistranslation or a misunderstanding or something. This is the game that had Laverre City and I loved the area around it! You telling me I'm gonna be stuck in circle city?? plz no

I got this game and decided I'd romance Logan. Read that you can romance Pen but he breaks up with you at some point in the plot for plot reasons before I started so I decided to romance him for giggles since I knew I'd be able to marry Logan later...

I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready. I knew what happened because spoilers I tripped over while looking up something else on the wiki and yet I'm still upset because Pen became my favorite character.

So about that Ask regarding me using your AC sprites for a Wiki? Long before you answered it, I actually decided to scrap that idea. The Wiki only allows for a maximum of 5 personal images, and I need FAR more than that for the project I was working on (while it does relate to a game covered on the Wiki, I can't really upload MS Paint-quality images to the mainspace). I deeply apologize if that Ask was a waste of time, but I still wanted to let you know about the current situation.

Ah I see! Well that's fine! :) No worries. I'm just happy to have answered the question. I always feel bad that someone might think I was ignoring them.

I have seen nothing but the title. I know of it. I know it's happening. But I am not currently in pokemon mode yet to get into it.

That said. NEW LEGENDS GAME LETS GO BAYBEEEEEEEEE

Hi, I really like your Animal Crossing sprites. Would it be okay if I use them as a base for a personal project (I plan on publishing it on a site called "MiiWiki")? I'm trying to find icons to represent 10 different animals, and your sprites are the only images that are of an ideal size for the project (I can only afford to use MS Paint ftr).

What's funny is all I use my make my sprites is MS Paint myself lol.

If you're going to use my old AC sprites as a base, I'd like you to at least mention somewhere that you used them and where you got them from. Since I'm making newer sprites anyway I don't mind my old ones getting used for something so long as I get credit for being the base.

(Also I apologize if this ask was asked ages ago, Tumblr didn't notify me I got it and I saw it while answering another ask I *did* get notified of.)

This game is a trip and a half the dialogue is amazing I came for the cowboy and stayed for the town guard that is basically Gaston.

Now I have to head canon I have two builders that are sisters because I like writing stories in my head as I play and let me tell you this plot needs two main characters for me.

Pen makes me stop and check the rating of this game sometimes. Dude says things that give me pause. MUD ME UP, SKINNY.

So I restarted Pokemon Violet to play again and do DLC.

Did you know you can see the bird titan flying over its mountain from all the way by the exit of Mesagoza's west gate? Because you can. Just flapping around waaaay out there.

Like, damn. And yet I can tell when stuff right behind me culls out because the shadow magically vanishes in front of me. I don't care about graphics and frame rate as much as most gamers but still. LOL

Update: I just fused a Dracky with a Bunicorn and got one of the gimp bunnies. Gods. Damnit. It was a special combination I had to do it it had a cold outline...

I just realized the new Dragon Quest Monsters game is out.

While its downloading onto my switch let us say a silent prayer that I will not find any gimp bunnies.
