my contribuition for @moonsaultzine ! it's incredible to see when i started this piece / when it was published to the zine and where eddie is now, the main inspiration for this piece was a post i made about eddie after the jay white match, you can go read it here and it's actually the text all over the piece. i love eddie and the whole religious angle you can witness him through, and now that he is a triple crown champion, he got the job done, despite not seeming like the guy who would do it. you can send me asks and stuff if you would like a more detailed look into the piece and what each stuff means, i am very proud of it and i'm thankful for everyone who got the zine. it is the first time i contributed to one, and now i get to share it with everyone else. may it be the first of many!

last year saw one of my favorite stories in wrestling, SANADA's rise to the top 💙 for my contribution to @moonsaultzine i wanted to depict the very moment he made me believe anything was possible!!!

(also after wk18, he's made the climb before, i believe he can make it again ^^)

the top-left and bottom-right parts of the painting each contain a rectangular panel, which has been left white. the panels intersect with the figures' bodies. the figures themselves are drawn, in black-pen, as anatomical diagrams - revealing the muscles and tendons. next to the diagrams, also in black-pen, is a schematic rendering depicting sections of Lou Thesz' NWA belt (also known as the tiny Takada belt). the belt sections are covered by a layer of vellum paper, which blurs them out. /.End ID]

my full piece for @moonsaultzine! i'm very proud of all we managed to achieve, and am thankful to have been able to participate. my piece was created while thinking about the symbolic collapse of persons into bodies in motion, and that collapse's relationship to the procedure of pro-wrestling and the artifice of all performances. it was referenced from multiple shoot-style matches (as well as allegedly fixed MMA fights) of the late 90s, particularly ones from UWF-I and RINGS.

As of today, MOONSAULT Vol. 1 has completed its incredible sale period. We couldn't be more proud and happy with what we made and where it went.

After two months on sale, MOONSAULT has raised an incredible $1017.94!! We're just waiting for itch.io's pending period of 7 days to pass until we can withdraw all of that money and donate it. Amazingly, almost a third of that revenue ($334.11) was tips, showing the amazing generosity of the wrestling fan community.

And yes, if you noticed at the top of this post... there's more to come in 2024. Stay tuned! And thanks!
