furries are at least 2.25x more likely to have been diagnosed with a form of autism, are on average 50-100% more likely to have experienced bullying unrelated to being a furry growing up than their peers, only 10% identify as heterosexual, and 50% of furries are found to experience some form of disability
i'm just really tired of seeing people in 2023 still acting like there's no possible connection to be made with seeing furries as disgusting sex perverts who deserve to be ostracized and bullied or made fun of when 9 out of 10 of us are queer

When people get a little too gung-ho about-
wait. cancel post. gung-ho cannot be English. where did that phrase come from? China?
ok, yes. gōnghé, which is…an abbreviation for “industrial cooperative”? Like it was just a term for a worker-run organization? A specific U.S. marine stationed in China interpreted it as a motivational slogan about teamwork, and as a commander he got his whole battalion using it, and other U.S. marines found those guys so exhausting that it migrated into English slang with the meaning “overly enthusiastic”.
That’s…wild. What was I talking about?

You have to start noticing things. The direction of the rays of sunshine, how it touches and warms your skin; the sway of a leaf in a mild breeze; the simple beauty of the flowers; the strong smell of your morning coffee; the wind in your hair and on your face; the liveliness of the city; the calm of your soul. You have to start noticing this and start living for it.

unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.

It might be easier to look at it like this-
All origins (that is, trauma origin, system 'from birth', neurological, spiritual, etc) are theories. They are not concrete and discrete types of systems.
Two systems with the same material experiences can interpret and theorize very differently- this is why there is no definition of the differences between systems with different origin theories that doesnt exclude someone.
People experience a thing, and then they come up with an explanation that fits their experience. Pretty much all origin theories for most systems in this fashion, are Unverified Personal Gnosis- just for neurodivergence origin. Basically the only systems that can be pretty certain about their origins are non-accidental tulpamancy systems (as they very deliberately chose later in life to induce plural experiences through repeated engagement and have clear memories of doing so and not having experiences prior), and even then there is likely more going on under the hood.
Some folks decide that psychological means of explanation are not enough for whatever reason(and there are many of those), and theorize their experiences are due to a variety of spiritual or metaphysical experiences.
These can range from 'soul splitting due to trauma' to 'born with many souls' to 'created a gateway to another world and opened the floodgates' to any number of other spiritual beliefs.
Like any belief about anything- people can and will do whatever they want there. Because a belief isnt a system type, spiritual origin systems can present in any manner of ways, from disorderly to not. The material experience is a different animal from the belief.
We personally dont do the origins thing. Whatever is the reason we started being a system isnt known, we feel cannot be known for sure in really anyone right now anyway, and we dont care enough to go looking for it. It doesnt feel relevant to our current material experiences.
We do however feel that various things contributed to our current experience, even if they are not what we consider an origin of the system. For a few of us whos formation is so different from everyone else, they feel they are walk-in souls from Elsewhere who just ended up in the body for whatever reason. Usually, when we get a new system member, there is a 'slow cooking' period where either a fragment slowly gains more and more autonomy and identity until they declare themselves a separate person and we count them in the number tally, or someone experiences a slow polarization of their identity experience until that other 'state' becomes self aware and asks to be considered separate. When a old member returns/comes forward who has been around prior, they also tend to slowly surface (but with added 'oh we can pick out when you were around when we were younger' or a sense they have of being around then, which new members do not get).
Those who identify as walk-ins do not do this. They appear suddenly as a full person- no 'slow cooking' or slow surfacing, and no indication of existing prior to arrival. They show up with usually very in-depth exomemories/lore also- which we generally do not otherwise have. They also personally feel they are 'from elsewhere' and tend to not show up during or after seriously stressful/traumatic events (with one exception to this- though this is the case for most of our members).
Otherwise their experiences are just the same as the experiences of any other headmate. They switch the same, they communicate the same, etc etc. Everyone is capable of the same stuff.
Because of how vividly different they are from others in the system in terms of formation/first contact and their very firm beliefs- they identify as walk-ins. Whether or not they are Actually stray souls who joined the system -and there are those in the system that are strongly skeptical of stuff like that- that is their personal belief.
We would less consider ourselves a 'spiritual system' and more a system with spiritual components to our experience.
Hope this helps!
I know it's an odd thing to ask, but could I get some info on spiritual plurality forms?
It's mostly so I can understand it more. I had some nice folks a while back explain non-disordered systems to me (which is probably what made me stop being anti-endo in the first place), but I never actually learned what a spiritual system is? Or how that works?
