Entangled (Yandere! Hyungwon x F!Reader) Prologue

Lolol just recently rewatched Secret Obsession and have a love for Hyungwon. Kekeke I suck at writing but imma do it anyway 😬

The erratic thumping of your heart seemed to be louder than the generic elevator music. Your hand tangled into your blouse as you tried to calm yourself down for your first day at your new job. You had just been hired on as a consultant for Starship Enterprise after graduating from uni after years and years of sleepless nights and way too many cups of iced coffee.

"Alright. Y/N. You got this. First big girl job, can't mess it up. Gotta prove to your parents that you didn't waste 8 years of your life for nothing."

A low chuckle startles you, alerting you to the fact that you were not in the elevator alone and that you had been voicing your thoughts. You felt your face and ears warm up, and slowly turned your head to see who else was with you.

Big mistake. The stranger was totally handsome and after a quick once over, you realized from his badge that he was going to be a coworker of yours. As you mentally cursed yourself out, you made a promise to yourself. Avoid him at all costs. Maybe if he forgot you existed, this moment never happened. Yup. That's the plan.

"So first day, huh? Where are you working?"

Oh no. He talked to you, now you have to respond. As much as you want to avoid him, you can't make a bad impression on him just yet.

"Oh! Uh. I will be working at Starship Enterprises. I just got hired in recently."

He smirks, "Well, I guess we will be coworkers starting today then. Chae Hyungwon. Go ahead and come to me if you ever need anything." (Nope. Never. Not gonna happen.)

Hyungwon holds his hand out, waiting for you to shake it. You awkwardly grasp his hand, trying to remember how to peoperly shake someone's hand. As you were pulling away, his grip on your hand tightened.

"Uhhh...can y-"

Before you could finish your sentence, the elevator dinged. You finally reached your floor. Hyungwon flashed you a smile, finally letting go and gesturing you to go first.

Not wanting the awkward moment to go on, you rush out of the elevator and quickly shuffle your way to your new boss's office. Not giving Hyungwon a glance as you retreat.

Not even hearing the dark chuckle of your new coworker.

"Y/N..."
