"Rakepick... That backstabbing b*tch! Forgiveness?! HA! She killed my best friend! I don't want her dead; I want her to suffer eternally in the fiery pits of some Icelandic volcano!" exclaimed Alice at the person asking her such a question.
Simon glanced up from his book and smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know…" he replied before refocusing on his reading.

Astraea gazed at her interlocutor, melancholy in her eyes. "Oh... Just saying his name provokes a sorrowful twinge within my heart. His actions have inflicted a deep wound, yet my love for him inexplicably remains the same. Trust, however, has been irrevocably shattered; a casualty of his betrayal. This betrayal was not mine alone; his sister and his dearest friend were victims of his duplicity. He had solemnly sworn never to venture into the world of the Dark Arts again, yet he went behind our backs and clandestinely pursued his forbidden interest. And it led to the most irreversible of consequences. A share of the blame, I fear, rests upon my own shoulders, for I failed not only to deter him from that path but also allowed myself to be enticed by his misguided reasoning, even succumbing to the learning of one Unforgivable curse. As for forgiveness, I am left to wonder, can I, as one who shares in the guilt, demand his repentance?"

It’s fine because I’m actually using a secret technique called writing it in my head and nowhere else.

There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"

“everyone is going to hate it” someone will love it. someone will reach out to you and tell you it changed their life. someone will hold it close and treasure it forever in a way you can’t even understand. keep going

When you’ve had such a day that when you finally have free time, you just want to stare into the void. You don’t feel like creating anything. You don’t feel like researching anything. You don’t feel like reading or listening to music. Your mind is just too blank for any of it…

why write a story if no one's going to read it?
Sometimes you don't want to share a story with others. Sometimes you do want to share it, but no one clicks on the title. So why bother writing it down if the only person you can guarantee will read it is you?
You need to get it out of your head. It just keeps replaying in your imagination on a loop and the only way to get it unstuck is to pin it down on paper.
You need to figure out what the story is. You have a lot of disjointed scenes or lines that you know are connected but you can't quite figure out how.
There's something in the story that's important to you, and you don't want to lose that thing by forgetting it. Future you might find that thing important too.
You want to be able to go back to the story again and again. Maybe to make adjustments over time. Maybe just to revisit a story that gives you the emotional release you need in that moment.
You want to be able to use text-to-speech to read the story aloud to you. Maybe it's a bedtime story. Maybe it's keeping you company while you do errands and chores.
You want to find out whether you can write a story (because not everyone can).
You want to be able to have almost the same story, but a little bit different, and you want to have it 15 times with slight variations. Then you can go through your own personal menu picking exactly the combination of beats that will satisfy you most on this reading.
You enjoy the process of finding just the right words or phrases or scenes to paint the pictures you want to shape the scene.
You want to find the exact rhythm and syllables and structure to make a sentence really sing.
You don't really have any particular reason, but you know you want to write that story down.

Change a single letter and change the word game
I want to play a game with you all.
You have to make a new word by changing only one letter of the last word.

That bit about Molly in the tags… 😳
Always thought Witch Weekly was your average homemaking women’s magazine with a few fashion and beauty tips here and there. Not one that will have “10 positions that will drive him crazy” on the cover 😅
I'd like everyone to know that, canonically, there was a period of 10 years in which Wendy thought muggle babies were indeed delivered by a stork.
She knew where wizard babies came from. That's obvious.
But muggle babies...

Poor Ben, though if she knows about wizard babies, at least he doesn’t have to explain the birds and the bees to her…

Wizards have babies the same way as every other mammals.
Muggles, though, are celibate beings that have managed to have storks deliver muggle babies to them. How are those babies made, you ask? They are grown in cabbages, of course!

Join the club of going down a rabbit hole of research for fics or just because you suddenly need to know more about stuff…
The amount of books I found related to Victorian England all because of my planned but yet to be written HPHL fics…
The books I found about biomes and ecosystems because of a mountain range that was stupid…
My brain deciding that I needed to know more about everything and that the best way was to look at what books are in university libraries until it went “wait! What if we instead check out which books are used in college/university classes?” Which means that I’m now going through the bookstore of a university to look at the textbooks and books required for various classes and saving them on wish lists.
On today's episode of where did my silly little side fic lead me? The migration routes of golden rays and logs for food stores on 18th century ships
