British Animal Rescuers Need Help

You may not want to watch the full video as I did, but one of my favorite animal rescues is trying to help another in Afganistan. In summation, dog ownership has been revoked, as have many things in the location have been and so much is changing, from the looks of things, not the better. This organization-rescued animals and care staff included-is in very real danger and need to evacuate.

Many people giving very little can solve this problem and save lives. Let's set aside the decisions the big wigs made and just be people helping people. We have all been the little guy/gal, trying to make a difference, do something. We've all been a statistic, a number on a sheet or report. This is one of those times when we little people can say, "I care" or "I got you" even with one dollar or one pound, a lire, whatever.

I am not a politician with agendas or power play goals. I am just a person who cares about people and animals. All the information is in the post, and if you can't or won't help, say prayers for this seismic change for so many.

I undress, and get under the covers with you. You moan softly and curl into me for warmth. Even in sleep you already know me. I will be your warmth and security, under any roof, in any house. Your head rests on my chest and I sigh. It felt like I breathed for the first time in hours, and suddenly, I’m tired, like the weary soldier I was trying to get back to base feeling safety creep around me and sleep take me.

Yes, I am home…it's already tomorrow, we just have to wake up together.
