prompt: fate

Vegas drifts slowly into wakefulness, fighting against the haze of painkillers as he gingerly opens his eyes. Sunlight is streaming through the hospital window. Three portions of curry rice are lined up neatly on the small coffee table. Pete is throwing a blanket over a napping Macau. This doesn’t feel like fate. Fate, up until now, has meant one of two things: overthrow the main family or die trying. Vegas has failed at both.  This feels like precarious chance. Like every terrible mistake in his life had built to a concentrated mass, primed to collapse into ruin like brain matter sprayed by the side of a pool. The inevitable gravity of destruction that instead exploded at the final second, creating a new life, his for the taking.  As though sensing his gaze, Pete turns and smiles, joyfully uninhibited and breathtakingly beautiful.  If this is his fate, it is undeserved, but Vegas has never claimed to be unselfish. He smiles in return, and knows he will spend the rest of his life trying to make himself worthy of the chance he’s been gifted.

After seeing a question on Reddit about Germans and foldable rulers, I need to know how everyone feels about them.

The ask implied, that foldable rulers are not super common to use or own outside of Germany, and now I am wondering about exact demographics and why. Pls spread and add your country in the tags if you want. I can not imagine owning a tool box without one of these. And no, I am not talking about measuring tape, I specifically mean these foldable rulers. They also exist with cm + inch measurements.

EDIT: I specifically mean the item from the image. A long ruler, 1-3m long, can have inch + cm, or just cm measurememts, and it may be called a folding ruler or folding rule. The reddit post called it a foldable ruler however, hence I used this term.

Happy two years of KinnPorsche The Series and welcome to this year's anniversary event!

In celebration of the show and us as a fandom, this event will host prompts and a rewatch, so we can enjoy the show once more, and to encourage creativity and new creations for its second anniversary. Starting from April 9th, the event will run across 28 days; dedicating two days to each episode and one prompt pair as listed below.
