End of BA3a - Final Thoughts
This project has been the most stressful project that I have worked on so far at university.
Much of my photographic work was meant to rely on other people that were going to model for me, rent me their locations, etc. however it seemed difficult for people to come through. This meant that not only did I fall behind schedule, but also that I had to consider trying to take my images a different way - that being said, I am glad I did. Experimenting meant that I discovered work that I hadn’t previously known about, and I took images that, although they weren’t what I planned, were successful in the end. I managed to create a body of work that I am proud of, as surprising as this was.
I have also been struggling a lot the past few months with my depression. However, I am back on antidepressants and I have just started counselling, so hopefully I will be able to work better in the next project!
I am excited for a new start.

Where Does My Work Fit within a Professional Context?
Though it is a question that has come up a lot throughout the past few months, it is one that I still struggle to answer.
I do feel as though I have finally discovered what I like to photograph - dark and imperfect images, predominately nude portraits. Once I am slightly more comfortable with my ‘style’, and if applied to other areas of photography as well, I feel that I will be able to shoot confidently.
I do also enjoy making work that either shocks other people, or makes them slightly uncomfortable - I am not entirely sure how I might be able to fit this into a professional context.
I feel that I will begin to find my way once I gain more confidence in my work.
