My bio class is truly one of the strangest cases of like, a class pretending to be an intro class, but like clearly trying to kinda cut corners to get to higher level stuff.

But they're doing that by overloading info in order to span every knowledge level from "I recently took AP Chem and/or Anat & Phys" to "I am a space alien and it is my first day in proximity to a human body", to the point where just the sheer volume of information density is nearly impossible to parse, even if you already know what they're talking about.

My favorite example to illustrate this is how they keep giving us lists with several more list items than they say are contained in the list. A real "I have two words for you: go to hell" kind of situation. Every single list. The actual first page in my textbook begins with this:
