While I do miss the slice of life/adventure of GX and the compelling story of 5Ds. YuGiOh Zexal as a whole fully makes up for that a hundred times the amount of each show for me. It honestly doesn’t help that many see Zexal as the weakest of the shows, mainly for the beginning. But once you see how it sets itself up and how they execute it’s story, it’s honestly pretty amazing on how they do it.
For starters, Zexal 2 takes place a bit after 1 (Note: most people just combine both shows together, which I get but I’m not one of them. I kept YuGiOh’s OG 3 parts as separate mediums so to keep it fair I’ll do it here), after Yuma, Shark, & Kite’s victory over a possessed Dr. Faker controlled by a Barian, which in this part of the story, is the main focal point going forwards. Yuma and his friends are gonna have to fully take on said Barians head on since many of them are gonna resort to dirtying their own hands to take down Yuma and Astral to take their numbers. Slowly but surly, Yuma and the gang will realize the massive scope on clashing with the Barians, and the pain that comes with…
Overall the animations is very consistent, yah you do get weird frames and zoomed out characters but that’s just how animation works, you gonna call it bad just for that? I really do like the 3D models of the many XYZ monsters there are, even so they also sprinkled in some 2D animation of said monsters and they still look cool as shit. In the second half of Zexal 2 the animation just goes off the rails as well as it’s story. It’s just so GOOD GOD DAMN!!!
The music is just a banging as the previous part, it sounds so well done (yah they both share tracks but the new ones is just aughhhhh) I just don’t have much bad things to say.
Overall, I had a lot of fun and felt very emotional at the end, I love YuGiOh a lot and how it just changed part of my life, Zexal will be part of that as well. The characters are just amazing on what they do even if it’s the smallest parts or part of an impactful scene, almost everyone has a part to play and it’s wonderful.
A solid 10/10 for me, and I CANT WAIT FOR ARC V AM I RIGHT YALL!!! Right…

Finished watching YuGiOh ZeXal! Actual fun af show, I had such a blast with it! I always had the impression that First half ZeXal (includes both 1 & 2) that it’s boring. Doesn’t help that it has a younger cast hopping off of 5Ds + irl with the TCG & OCG, XYZ monsters were almost overlooked on release since Synchros were preferred due to their powerful effects. Regardless, I had so much fun!
YuGiOh has always had moments that shine but there are a few moments where it either becomes boring or a drag for most cases (ie: first two arcs of GX & early second half of 5Ds). ZeXal DOES have those moments but if anything it does go by quick and imo does it less than it’s previous counterparts so for the most part it doesn’t feel like a waist of time.
Characters, set pieces, & music were on POINT! The OPs and Endings (Especially ED1) were really good, even with its battle music, oh my goddddddd. But the Characters steal the show 100%, I thought Yuma was gonna be annoying for a bit but no he’s a REALLY great protagonist, it’s sad that most of his friends don’t Duel as much as him but I like that they are around the whole first part (idk about the second part yet oh boy) since I do like them. They are 13 to 14 years old so I except them to be together like glue since they are friends. Favs have to be Droite (I just like that type of woman I’m sorry), Kite, Shark, Yuma, and surprising Tori.
Overall I had a really great time watching it and I know for a fact ZeXal ll is gonna rock my socks off. 8/10.

Hi Fi Rush…
HOLYYYY SHITTTTTTT ACTUAL PEAK FICTION!!!!
Idk where to begin ima be real.
But to start I do not like rhythm games, especially ones where you just have to touch in a rhythmic order. It not that they are bad it’s just that it’s the same thing but with different songs and a pallet. Osu! & Voze are Prime examples of this and they are really boring to me, hit the timing in the exact order. Other rhythm games like P4D, Love Live, & Enstars have 3D models to fall back on for visuals which are cool but they don’t give enough gameplay wise where I could place them above others. Thankfully there are games that take the rhythm aspect and put it towards other genres which is cool, but personally they don’t attract me 100% to be put on my radar since I have other games to finish/play… wait Xbox has game!? *Also on Steam* GOD DAMN IT!!
Hi Fi Rush was that game, that HOOK, that feel! I don’t have to play whatever anime op is on another anime rhythm game, I can bop to the beat of “The Prodigy: Invaders Must Die”! I love how EVERYTHING goes to the beat, like EVERYTHING EVERYTHING! The combos can technically be off the beat but you really wanna be on that funk since each enemy area will score you on how much you were on that beat. It’s highly encouraged & mandatory to learn how to tap to the beat. Thankfully there are very helpful tools in-game so the gameplay experience isn’t to hard for beginners.
Story is very simple (and there are no god awful twists thank GOD) with VERY lovable characters. Being only 10 hours long I was expecting not to much will happen with the characters but even with how short the game is, the character development is pretty cute mainly with Chai and Peppermint. This game does not take itself to seriously and I’m all for that, getting real tired of recent games taking itself wayyy to seriously. A very nice refresher for the start of 2023.
The original sound track isn’t bad either, its really good especially the boss themes. The choices for license music tho wasn’t to bad either, and if you are a steamer no worries there is a “Streamer Mode” in the game which replaces licensed tracks with original music.
Overall, AMAZING GAME!!! I would be giving it a 11/10 but “Creep” by Radio Head wasn’t in the game so I have to dock a point so 10/10! I LOVE YOU KORSICA MY BELOVED!!! “BUT IM A CREEP!!!! IM A WIERDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

This is the second Tales of Game I’ve finished (The other was Berseria 😬). Holy shit what a game, I never thought I would’ve fell in love with two games in the month of Jan so much.
For me the strongest connecting tissue of this game is 100% the characters. Yuri, Estelle, Raven, Judy, the supporting character to the villains make this games story so much better to the point I would just call it peak fiction. If I were to put the game’s story into words it would be “If a game took inspiration from old 2000s Fantasy Anime OVAs”, that’s the only way I can describe it. It’s not bad mind you, it can be predictable at times but the cast makes the story so enjoyable to the point you just want to see how these characters interact with each other. Usually from what I can tell, the cast if really good can glue a game together and Tales of games always (mostly) nail it.
Gameplay wise, so much fun. I don’t have the willpower to experiment to much with the combat but I had fun with it overall. Finding how certain attacks can land with each other is really cool. Just getting them in a stun locked position and bursting just to get them in a worst position and finishing it off with a Burst or a powerful finishing Arte feels AMAZING! Funnily enough most Tales of games are multiplayer with 4 player local co-op, the camera moves back to put everyone in the frame so they know where they are at all times. Only player 1 controls the character movement in the over-world.
For the presentation, I love how the character models look with the cell shaded like ((?) Im not to sure what to call it Ngl) look to them & with the environment looking pretty nice makes the game look really solid considering recent games going for a more realistic look which just makes the game age poorly.
Ima be real, just listen to the music especially the battle themes. That’s all I gotta say they are extraordinarily amazing to listen to.
I don’t have to much to fully say altho I would like to shout out side material: “Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike” & “Tales of Vesperia: The Empty Mask”. REALLY GOOD SIDE MATERIAL IF YOU WANT MORE OF IT (for The Empty Mask I highly suggest you get to part 3 of the game to read it). And for the ranking for each ToV media: “The First Strike” 7.5 or 8/10, “The Empty Mask” 8.5/10, and finally “Tales of Vesperia” 10/10.
If you want to play ToV I suggest getting it on either PC, PS4, Xbox, or Switch since they run normally unlike the ToS “remaster”. It has extra content on the PS3 version that didn’t come out to the west including some extra stuff. Highly recommend this game if you want to get into the Tales of Series.

Had to think about this one for a while, 2 1/2 weeks max.
Many games go under the radar from many fans and companies. Many just become forgotten. But thanks to a friend, I’ve experienced a game that I’ve never thought I would enjoy fully. That game is Panzer Dragoon Saga, a game released on the Sega Saturn in 1998. It had a rough development cycle, being made while the Sega Saturn and Sega themselves were spiraling down due to the commercial failure of the Saturn. But thanks to people on the internet, the Sega Saturns Emulation is fully stable as the games rom can be found online.
Panzer Dragoon Saga starts at a dig site in the mountains, while mercenaries are guarding the area. In it they find a Girl surrounded by stone, but not long after they get attacked by their employers while they all get picked off one by one. All but one are alive, a young adult named Edge, after being shot off a cliff, Edge is awoken in ruins surrounded by gray ancient plates. He gets attacked by creatures of a by-gone age but a strange dragon saved you as you escape the ruins, venturing out to get your revenge and save the girl they took.
Tumblr media
Right of the bat, you go straight into the gameplay, clean and simple. The only things you have to focus on is your dragon’s HP, SP, and any Status effects it has. There is no equipment like armor and the like, just whatever attachments Edge’s gun you’d like to put on it. To attack you have to use an action gauge (3 bars) to attack with your gun or the dragons’ many attacks. At one point in the game you will have access to many moves that does different kinds of effect to buffing, debuffing, Healing, AOE attacks, Shields, ect. At a certain point in the game the Dragon will be able to transform into 4 other forms, Attack, Agility, Spiritual, and Defense, each form can be chosen by via a slider so you can go either a balance Dragon or go one sided with your dragon.
There are items & intractable objects in the world of PDS so it’s best to explore as much as you can. Honestly it’s recommended due to this games length, it’s only 12 hours long minimum, I’ve personally hit 13 hours due to me just wondering around areas & looking for certain items that can help me with later fights. I recommend looking for items called “D Units”, there are 12 of them in total. I won’t say what they do but it’s a neat bonus for finding them all.
Tumblr media
The story and look of Panzer Dragoon Saga are amazing especially its world. The Sega Saturns from what I heard wasn’t the best with 3D compared to N64 & PSX1, but ultimately these environments were amazing to look at. Nothing honestly compared to other games around the time, the detail in certain landscapes were impressive, Granted there are some pop in but it might just has to due to the emulation since it isn’t running on OG hardware. Final Fantasy never did 3D fully mainline till FFX, and Xenogears only did 3D for the environments rather than the character models. PDS does both and it’s insane how a console that can’t do 3D very well processes all of what’s going on screen. Yah, other games like MGS1 & Mario 64 are full 3D but idk for this game it feels different.
The Story isn’t the most ground breaking I’ve witnessed but it’s has some twists that I’ve would’ve not predicted. I won’t say what they were but there were moments where my jaw dropped and I just sat there like “DAWG WHAT!?” Till I went back to processing what I’ve seen. With the story being so short, it’s plot is way more focused than other games after it’s released, which is super refreshing in certain cases. For Edge and Azel being the main characters, they are pretty endearing, they aren’t to crazy as characters but their interactions all the way up to the end of the game fits the game’s end with a nice bow.
Tumblr media
Overall, Panzer Dragoon Saga became one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve never had an experience quite like it, but sadly I don’t believe we’ll have something quite like it again. After it’s release, Sega was already setting its sights on the Dreamcast as their financial situation gets worse. While PDS isn’t the sole reason for it, it was non the less not very favorable sales wise. While it’s JP version only produced 100K copies, its US versions only produced 25k and worse its EU version? Only 1,000 copies making it extremely rare in said region. It can sit around for 1,000$ to 2,000$ minimum compleat as parts of it go for 200$ to 300$ and that’s only for the US. Due to the restructuring Sega was doing they disbanded Team Andromeda and folded them into Smilebit. Thankfully the game did get a sequel in the form of Panzer Dragoon Orta, taking place after PDS.
If you want to play the game in full I highly recommend getting an emulator for it (Mainly Retro Arc) since Saturn emulation has been smoother the past few years, there is a guild on the Wiki iirc. And if you are one of the few that are waiting for it to come to current Gen home consoles, tough shit. We don’t know the full story but due to the restructuring for the Dreamcast release and after the company restructured again after the Dreamcast died and moved onto game making. The source code is most likely lost or destroyed since there has been no attempts to rerelease it in some shape or form.
With all said and done, with it being one of my favorite games I’ve played this year, I give it unironically a 9.5/10 to a 10/10. I don’t think I’ll have the same experience that I had with this game with any other game moving forwards, but I’m glad to say that this game found a home in my head and heart. And I’ll fight for it whenever Sega tries to remake it or remaster it if they ever find the source code or have another studio help them create it from the ground up.
Ty Team Amdromeda and Sega for creating such an amazing experience…

I’ll try to make this a bit short but Sonic Frontiers is pretty good. Unironically had an amazing time with the game than what It would’ve turned out if the early showings were close to the final product.
I have a bit of a Love Hate kinda relationship with the Sonic series but over time I’ve been leaning towards love. My first game that I’ve played was Sonic Adventure for the GC but like it was at a dentist office so tbh I didn’t know what I was doing. Besides that this is a really good first step forward for the franchise as a whole with its amazing writing thanks to Ian and the semi open world being so much fun to traverses.
The TWO thinks I probably didn’t like were how a bit easy the bosses were & the quick travel. 1. I like the scope of the bosses and how you fight them but as they went on they didn’t feel hard nor challenging to an extent, including the final boss. 2. Im fine with the quick travel being hidden away by fishing but when I used it first time I felt so sad cuz I would abuse tf out of the white grind rails but now there are times where I just use the quick travel. But these are like, minor nickpicks that I’ve felt.
Overall I absolutely love the hell out of this game. I hope Sega knows that they are onto something here and hope they can move forwards with this sorta direction. It doesn’t have to be JUST an open world Sonic game but with its writing of the story and character? Thats a wining recipe in the making. 9/10

I’ve finally watched and finished Amphibia. Wow… just wow. I’ve never seen a show as beautiful and amazing since I watched Houseki No Kuni in 2017. Its such a strange feeling to experience again after so long.
A friend online recommend this show to me also passively since they were referring to everyone in chat iirc. I was a bit hesitant since I was on a YuGiOh binge grind at the time but still thought on it. I’ve seen the fan art and how amazing it is, so I’m still being reminded passively to watch it. Than a few days ago an irl friend accidentally said a spoiler to me, granted it made me upset, but found out it was fake (at the time) so I stoped procrastinating and actually laid down and watch Amphibia.
From the beginning of S1 to the end of S3, I loved it. Anne is such an amazing character from start to end, she actively grows to become a better person as well as those around her. To me the show signifies growth, on how a person can change both positive and negative, and how with help from others you can grow to be a better person tomorrow. Anne and her two friends go through these challenges of growth and how it effects others, themselves, and their friendship. That doesn’t mean that other characters don’t go through it to, not to the extent as the 3 main girls.
For comedy, its really ‘effing funny. A good amount of other media & video game references which makes me chuckle but their own jokes are amazing. Had to pause one episode since I was laughing a lot I had to walk it off. The presentation is pretty sweet as well, the main theme is catchy, as well as the ost being a treat to listen especially the vocal tracks. The animation, although not to much of my cup of tea, really grew on me. The backgrounds as well as the world is so cool, since its inhabitants are amphibians, the world acts like its in their perspective, like they didn’t have to do that but its amazing on how they do it. Character designs are simple, just how I like them, I especially like the three main girls designs as well as the other main casts, especially Olivia-
I honestly really, really, REALLY, recommend this show. I would recommend this show JUST for the S2 finally ALONE! If you are wondering where to watch this, its on Disney + but if you don’t have D+ you can always search for it online free somewhere. But to close this off…
I can’t express my thanks to my online friend for recommending Amphibia to me. I enjoyed every single last bit of it. And thank you Matt Braly and his team so much for creating this show. Its in my top 10 series of all time and it’ll probably still be climbing as im writing this. 10/10
I fucking love Olivia, I fucking love her.
I LOVE AMPHIBIAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

I watched One Piece Film Red yesterday, TL;DR 7/10 but I’ll put my full thoughts on it.
Presentation is pretty good, colorful with its setting and atmosphere when its in the Song World. I also like Uta’s music (imo her songs get better when she becomes a villain) also I didn’t know this but they said that this movie was gonna be a musical and I question my friend on it and he did confirm that it was indeed a musical, I don’t mind it tho.
But the strangest part imo is the plot. It gets super convenient at times which seems off. I don’t mind Uta’s singing releasing the cursed demon music notes (I forgot the name im sorry) im fine with that. What im not fine with is the aftermath after Shanks left Uta on the island. Like Uta THINKS Shanks killed everyone on the island, but the very SPECIFIC SNAILS has the footage of the music Demon so she knows but still blames it on Shanks. Honestly I get it, Uta has a strong amount of trama and she needs (in her mind) to blame it on someone to keep making the world happy, like that’s fine. But to my knowledge ain’t the snails living creatures that need to be fed? So for them to be washed up on the shore without food (I will assume snails need greens to eat) wouldn’t have just died? Like Uta is way older now than before originally. Its a bit Nitpicky I will say that, but than she refuses to drink the medicine which I assume she wanted to write the wrong but like ehhh. Yah its her fault but she didn’t have to die for it. After all that she become a good character to a ‘eh’ one to me. ALTHO, I like her powers & how the Song world and the real world was used, she’s just insane.
Besides that it’s a current OP movie. I like how they utilized the side characters & the main characters together. but the fights are… something. I cant put my finger on it but if I were to say what it would be I think it would be just it being bloated with the cast. I Would say more but it’ll just be me bitching abut certain parts. Its not the worst OP movies like its WAY BETTER than Stampede, but you cant touch the 6th movie with the Flower or Strong World. But I would say its a decently good movie, idk my opinion changes like new fresh socks everyday. 7/10.

Digitamas (or Digivices) are pretty cool.
A spin on the cute, almost female dominantTomodatchi. Digimon was created to appease the male demographic with the pets being more monster like as well as the edition of battling irl’s Digimon by connecting different Digitamas. Altho it wasn’t designed to be, Digimon as a franchise was never supposed to compete with Pokemon but in short time, it was made out to be. The ramifications of this move will effect them during the 2010s’.
Bought one when I was watching Digimon Adventures back in 2020 cuz why not plus it would be fun to have a Digimon with me all times. Sadly during my time with it I had to stop playing because of my old job and on how strict they are. Only picked them back up because of my new job and how lenient it is, so I can actually shoot for cooler Digimon. Altho small, it houses 50+ Digimon to hatch and grow, each with a different design & mechanics.
Different Digimon needs certain requirements to evolve whether is to not have 2+ care mistakes or have them overeat 3 times. You can feed them, train, battle others or by yourself, put them to bed, heal them when injured, & check their own status. You can also check on how many Digimon you got. If they need something wether it needs food or you needing to flush its poop, the Digitama will start beeping and you’ll have to take care of them, if you miss it it counts as a care mistake. Care mistake can also determine your evolutionary line wether they can evolve or stop evolving. When its time they will evolve into either a Training, Training 2, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega, & lastly Ultra (Can only be acquired by fusing certain Digimon together). Then when its actually time they will pass away with “old” age, but they leave an egg of any choosing to do the cycle over again.
Its pretty cool but understandably people have jobs so you can’t ALWAYS keep care of your Digimons’. There are Digitamas that are wrist bands so they can evolve if you work out so if thats an option of said Digitama if you like. I also recommend looking up the Digimon evolutions if you are to confused on its evolutions or just straight info. To get them they usually show up in B&N or online, mainly Amazon or EBay.
Thats mainly it uhhhhh… watch Amphibia.

I’d like to meet up with friends online since they’re cool to talk to and stuff but to me I’m either to scared to see them or having the fear that I’m just annoying them. I doubt that the latter is the case but it’s just how I think on it. I honestly wouldn’t mind driving them around to places or just a straight hang out if they are visiting a state/country im in. But it’s either, time, money, or just willingness that blocks others to meet each other beyond online VCs.
There are times where I don’t know if I’m a good friend or not, or that I’m just straight up annoying. But even so, I want to see them someday and even if they don’t wanna meet up, I’ll still support them in their time of need. I just gotta be brave enough to speak up.

Started YuGiOh around January when Master Duel came out I didn’t know how the game worked but I accidentally stumbled upon the Lunalight banner and Ngl I really REALLY like Lunalight Leo Dancer.
Her design is pretty cool (yah sexy as well but I don’t pay attention to that to much) with the red, purple, & Gold colors being her main color pallet which I really love! Her Sword, her head tail (?), her jewelry, & her red cape around her waist, she’s beautiful I love her.
I haven’t watch Arc V yet but idk the girl that controles Lunalights in that show but she looks like a bitch lol. Also Leo makes me question myself being a furry or not.

Houseki No Kuni to me is one of the few series that I’ve felt so much emotions from. From start to Chapter 98, I’d never seen such a beautiful series quite like HnK.
I was in HS at Sophomore year when I came across this series. An Anituber I’ve watched was talking about the Crunchyroll awards and how “Land of the Lustrous” won Anime of the Season. As a kid with time on his hands I’ve watched the anime and oh my god. The transitions from 3D to 2D, the atmosphere, music, and of course the characters, the anime was perfect to me and still is. Granted, this was a time where 3D in anime was despised and amplified when Berserk (2016) released, so a good story WITH GOOD 3D?! NO SHOT!!!
It took me till Jr. year for me to read the manga, reason was that I wanted to know how part 5 of JoJo was gonna end since the anime was near the finishing line. But my irl wanted me to wait so after back and forth I decided to read Houseki No Kuni to see where the story continues after Episode 12. I absolutely loved it, I cried and laughed multiple times when reading it, it’s just that beautiful to me.
Ichikawa to me is one of if not my favorite Mangaka of all time. Her one shots (although some of them are iffy) are still beautiful but Houseki is just on another level. It sucks that it’s compared to Steven Universe but once you watch/read it, it’s NOTHING like SU I promise you.
If you wanna watch/read it, go for it. The anime is only 12 episodes long and as of October 28th it’s on its 98th chapter. Will it get a AoT like ending? God I hope not but if it doesn’t and it get a good bittersweet ending… it’ll be a masterpiece but for now, to me it’s a 10/10. Links to watch/read Houseki no Kuni. Note: I honestly recommend the official translations for higher quality but if you have no other alternatives, here you go.  https://mangadex.org/title/cade38b7-64c4-4a29-8e3c-8c283291d6c6/houseki-no-kuni https://animixplay.to/v1/houseki-no-kuni-tv
