Matt Cortez is my nephew. Our family is extremely proud of him. During there heyday MCR treated my family with great respect. I cannot say enough about how they treated my mother. They put her on stage in Birmingham Alabama. And everyone applauded. My mom was in her 80s and was thrilled. Frank put his guitar around my moms neck and she strummed. The crowed went wild. Needless to say I never met them but only heard good things about them. Even though I’m not a big fan of their music I recognize there talent and independent style. !!!! I hope they reunite , bury any hurt feelings And remember how much there fans live them. I will not speculate on any rumors, I’m not privy to that. Just sit back listen to their music and remember them with honor. I hopefully would like to meet Gerard I have a lot of supernatural events to tell him about. Hopefully he could write some of them into his Umbrella Academy series.

!!!!!! Thank you so much for sending this message! We here in the MCR fandom have so much love for your nephew and recognize his contributions, both musically and spiritually, during his time with them. I even managed to see a couple of the shows when he filled in for Mikey.
I didn’t know that about your mother. That’s so sweet! I knew the band brought a mariachi band on stage for Matt’s birthday one time, so you could clearly see the love.
The band did reunite, for one show in 2019, and hopefully for a world tour later this year. It still seems unreal and a bit like the reunion never happened. Maybe it was all a dream.
You made my day, Uncle/Aunt Cortez! Thank you! Much love to you.
(Excuse me while I tag my friend who runs the Matt blog and is gonna be excited: @matt-cortez)

If you live on 8147 Harrison in Munster, I had a package delivered to me at 8147 Highland Place. If you need it before I give it back to my postal person on Monday, I can leave it on my porch.
a: I don’t know if you think this is the real Matt but it isn’t, I think there must’ve been a misunderstanding here

wartooth1979: Broke down while on tour in Canada in 2004. 2 unexpected days off with all of us jammed into 1 room. The boys played an acoustic set in the bar of the hotel to a handful of people. Drove the van back to Seattle to pick the boys up after they flew to Seattle after night 1. Piled up in the beast and drove down to Phoenix where the van literally caught fire and smoked us out. Dumped the van in the venue parking lot and hopped on our first tour bus to start our tour with Face to Face. @bcbryar @mikeyway @gerardway @frankieromustdie @raytoro @mychemicalromance #mychemicalromance #tourlife
