Hi, I really liked your story "Monster within" it was the first thing I read from the adult content category. The way you escalate the atmosphere in the first chapter, and especially in its first half, is simply amazing, all the time I had a feeling of constant tension, as if everything always weighs by a thread. And about the scene when parents find out about the grades, I can talk for hours. First of all, I want to praise you for not smoothing out the corners, domestic violence in this scene is described terrifyingly, I literally pressed myself into a chair and could not take my eyes off the screen. Secondly, the way you bring it to this deserves separate words of praise, then how small harbingers by the type of change of facial expression and tone of voice in the mother slowly bring us to the impending horror. But not only is your game good with an oppressive atmosphere, but also with bright moments and characters. Characters again, this is also a separate topic for conversation, each of them, whether he is at least a minor motel owner or one of our pack mates, each of them has a bright kind of archetypal character. Cassandra is an archetype of a leader or a protectionist, that is, she is ready to do anything to protect the main character and other people that are dear to her, or Tatiana is a sub-archetype of a loner, a person who distrusts anyone and tries to stay away from people, and Caleb is a tragic archetype of a person whose life changes coardenally against his will, as a result of which he is drawn into fighting with his brother. I really want to praise you for your feedback. I wish I could pin this without unpinning my wips list post cause I want to read this every time I wanna get ready to work on something. But I settled it by copy pasting it to a document. 😁.

I really want to thank you for this feedback. It's honestly one of the best I've gotten. I like detailed things like this that nail down every single thing in my work. Maybe has to do with me binge watching video essays and analysis on youtube about my favorite stuff, but this resonates with me a lot.

A lot of thanks for this. Really. It means a lot. Especially with the long time that has passed with both of my wips. I haven't given up on them yet though. And this is more encouragement for me to keep going regardless of time.

Hi, I was wondering if you were still working on TMW ??

Apologies for taking so long to answer. Been hella busy with some movies.

I haven't sat down in a long time to write either of my wips but I still think about what to do with them and how to proceed. Not the answers many might want but that's what it is for the moment. You could say they're on a hiatus. But I never really stop thinking about them. I just don't know when I will finish them. My hope is if I can finish both chapters 2 of both wips eventually, i can get out of the rock I'm stuck in and continue since chapter 2 seems to always be what I struggle with the most in my works. Will let you all know when I finally update them.

Can I ask what is happening with monsters within?

My classic "stuck on chapter 2" problem that I'm starting to think it's an issue with all of my projects. At first i think that the first idea of chapter 2 that i have is great or good enough but as i write it I'm suddenly getting caught up in plot holes or stuff that doesn't make sense or big plot events i have no idea how to connect and if i don't connect them, the pacing will feel rushed.

Add to that that I'm trying to open this next episode up just a little bit more so it doesn't feel as railroady PLUS the coding i have to do for each of those deviations. Apologies for falling into that pattern again. I know you guys have been waiting for ages. 😔😔😔

I was looking through the forum replies on the monster within. I believed you mentioned something about werewolf "types" can you elaborate more on that?

Right. This is something I have planned to explain in the next few episodes in more detail. But here's the short version:

There's three types of werewolves:

Average Werewolves: name says it all. These are the more common ones and probably the first form of every werewolf's life. They're big and mean, mostly furless, face stretched out to resemble a snout but not quite there.

Beta Werewolves: the second type. These motherfuckers are wild. Taller and bigger than average werewolves. Face fully changed into a snout like a giant wolf. Still mostly furless but a few pockets more than average werewolves.

Alpha Werewolves: The tallest and biggest SOBs in town. Also the most aggressive and dangerous. When people talk about the monsters from movies and books, these are the assholes they're talking about. Fully covered in fur and muscular like Hulk. You do not want to meet one of these beasts.

Disclaimer: these are not hierarchy types. An alpha or a beta does not automatically lead an average werewolf (and due to lore, more often than not you'll find out most werewolves won't like to have an alpha as the packleader).

What are your most favorite & least favorite things about the mc (either them as a character or about your experience writing them) for either of your WIPs?

The absolute sheer level of variations they can have. It's ridicolous considering I've tried to give them a bit of a personality of their own, they still open themselves up for so much variety of how to react to certain situations, it starts getting overwhelming. That's my least favorite thing about them.

As to my favorite thing about writing each of them?

The clone (TLL MC) would be the innocence and naivety. They're for all intents and purposes a child in an adult's body. Naturally that will make them more inquisitive and it's easier to write them like that.

With Nyliem's sibling (TMW MC) is their interactions with the other characters. More often than not I enjoy writing the back and forth between them and the other characters, especially cause they can be a bit more proactive compared to The Clone in TLL.
