i agree with you on the album opinion!

I think because of the parasocial relationship we have with her many swifties hoped the album will tear joe apart, but people need to realise sometimes love just... dies away (for whatever reason), and some people arent meant to last, and that's ultimately a pretty boring stuff to write about🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm so glad I'm not alone!

I personally didn't want it to tear down Joe because I noticed that the parasocial relationship was at an all time high with their break up- that a lot of fans had no problem attacking a man over a break up they had no idea what the cause was.

It's very easy to write things from strong emotions like anger, I felt like the Joe centric songs were more her just closing the book on that relationship without super strong hurt feelings about it and I've seen on Twitter that some swifties are upset about that.

Opinions on TTPD (from a debut Swiftie)

First, I would like to stress that this is just my opinion and you can disagree with me, I respect that, but please don't send me any hate for my opinions.

Leading up to the release I was worried that the album was being too hyped up, and I think it was for me. With all of the promo, easter eggs, pop ups, song titles, I think I just expected something more than what we got.

Overall the album felt very lackluster, it felt like she was stringing a bunch of lyrical words together without any passion or emotion behind the words. ie Down Bad, But Daddy I love Him, Florida...

I'm kinda confused about the collabs because I feel that neither of them really added to their respective songs.

So long London made me cry, but that could be because London Boy was my favorite song from Lover.

I liked that the songs weren't all about Joe, quite a few were about Matty- I just find it funny that everyone was saying that this album would crucify Joe but she 'attacked' Matty more.

So Long London, Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, loml, and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart are my favorite songs.

Also I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't think The Alchamy is about TK, I feel like it's more of a love letter to her fans, Idk how to explain it though lmao.

Overall, this album is probably my least favorite of her albums, I personally found half of the album to be skips. For an album that was promoted as a breakup album going through the different stages of grief, I felt that the songs weren't really conveying the feelings and pain.

Edit: The Anthology~

Taylor has once again not put her best songs on her album. Personally, I feel like these songs convey the pain and heartbreak I expected in the album.

I hope she sells THE ANTHOLOGY as it's own album because I would much rather own these songs/play this record till wears out.
