Out of genuine curiosity, may i ask why kinning your characters is not ok ?

I feel like ppl get entitled over a character when they kin them over just liking them a normal amount.

Is nsfw fanart OK? NO. I'm the only one allowed to sexualize my OCS (lol). I'm the only one who gets to choose who gets to see them as well, haha!

Are fan edits, and fanfics OK? Yeah (As long as it's not weird).

Can others draw their OCs with yours? Only if we're homies.

Are headcanons & Shipping ok? Kinda? I'd rather not be told about it unless we're moots or friends. I do enjoy ppl hc memes with them.

I'd probably not.

I'm not doing it to gatekeep, It's just documenting steps, explaining why I do this and that, is just a whole work I'm not willing to invest in especially when I'm mostly operating on instinct. Please, I just knew how to draw and decided to make some self-indulgent comics. I thought it would be a good brain exercise now that I find it stale to work on beautiful portfolio-worthy artwork 100% of the time -_-

The mangas and comics I've read in the last decade certainly gave me a direction on how I want to do it. If you're looking for a helpful guide, Adrienne's comic tutorial taught me everything I know: here's the link (It literally gave me the confidence to make one lol).

That said, please don't ask me for a step-by-step process anymore. I don't like doing it. I get that spreading knowledge is important but asking someone who doesn't want to teach, teach will do more harm than good. I think people who want to learn better deserve better and I'd feel bad if I just ended up adding to the noise of bad art advice out there djsfladsjfh
