Daenera's initial frustrations subsided as she came to realize - or at least assume - that the stranger had made a genuine error and not simply tried to brush her off. The thought of potentially having gone into an argument over a misunderstanding was enough to draw up a small sense of shame within her, something that she in turn quickly pushed back down.
"An eye for it?" she starts, a corner of her mouth curling upwards in amusement, "I don't have any eyes left for myself, nevermind anything or anyone else."
She clears her throat. "Jokes aside, I myself don't hold much of an interest in the art of blacksmithing, but my first mentor was... let's say, rather fickle regarding the upkeep of my weapons and armor, so I stayed in the company of blacksmiths and leatherworkers quite often. That particular piece of armor of yours is like nothing I've seen before."

"Sorry I couldn’t hear you over my internal monologue."
The Illidari's brows furrowed at such a dismissive response, an irritated scowl tugging at the corners of her lips. She curbed her temper for the time being, deciding to give him the benefit of the doubt, something suggested by her dear sister. Then again, Daenera always thought she was a bit too trusting of others, especially given Silvermoon's seedy underbelly.
"I suppose I will simply have to ask again," there was no hiding the venom laced in that last word, despite her best efforts to remain composed here.
"Where did you get your gauntlets from? If not for a few details, I would have just dismissed them as another creation from a blacksmith, but that doesn't seem to be the case here."

Truly, expecting a simple answer from someone she immediately perceived as a threat would be all too convenient, wouldn't it? She should have known better - and yet it didn't stop her from getting frustrated further when he danced around the question.
"We all have our reasons," Daenera responded, giving the man little more than he had given her. "But I am not here for pleasantries."
The Sin'dorei took a step closer, pulling her glaives from their holsters and watching out for any sudden movements as she asked once more,
"Who are you?"

Was she aware of exactly how powerful this man was? Very. The smell of arcane in the air was almost suffocating. But there was still some sort of childlike glee in getting under the archmage's skin that she had been sorely missing, pointed canines peeking out through a smug little grin.

An annoyed click of her tongue was the first and only response the other earned from her, at least for a few moments as she took a second to properly size him up. The sheer amount of power within a seemingly human body was almost intimidating, and while the stench of fel emanated off of him like plumes of vile smoke from a goblin's oil rig, there was something else lingering just underneath. "I thought I'd picked up the scent of a fel-ridden rat lurking around here...."
Khadgar’s hands stayed firmly at his sides. His back towards the speaker.
An eyebrow was raised, though quickly lowered. His fel green eyes observing over the ruins of a battle. As for what one? He didn’t even know.
“And I thought I smelled someone with a lack of taste for the finer things in life,” he replies no doubt deeply sarcastic.
“Instead,” Khadgar snorts. “I get you.”

If not for the things she had gone through, perhaps she too would be quick to judge the other. But it's in such cases that she can actually sympathize - those days long past in Outland were certainly anything but easy, and even now she felt eyes on her at all times. She felt her shoulders sag a little, allowing her guard to drop slightly.
"Not all of the living are quite so volatile, but believe me when I say that I understand. You just seemed a bit tense--" She pauses for a moment before letting out an amused scoff, "-- not that I'm any better."

Landaullan's red eyes narrow slightly. It wasn't out of fear, but rather precaution. There were many that wanted his head and even more that would be willing to take it no matter the cost.
There might have been no one watching him now, but . . . that didn't mean at another point in time there wouldn't be. A reason to why he was on edge - a slight more than usual it seemed.
"My dear," He says lowly. "there are always eyes on me and never for the reasons one would expect. I would enjoy having some days to myself, but alas . . . it's always something with the living."
