@ the dr blogs i follow: i know you were reblogging this because it looks like monokuma, but please stop reblogging it because it’s actually like…really ableist??? i’m not just being a BIG DARN SJW here like there’s a pill bottle necklace and it’s called a “bi-polar” bear. it’s literally making fun of bipolar people and turning a serious disorder into a joke halloween costume. mental disorders, particularly more “violent” or “severe” ones, are almost always seen as a joke or not serious. 25 to 50% of bipolar people attempt suicide at least once, and many of them struggle with addictions of some kind (usually drugs and alcohol.) and now they get to be the butt of a fucking joke as a halloween costume. if you’ve seen what i’ve been dealing in the past month(s) or so with ari claiming “she has bipolar” and how she’s terrorized me and my friends for being mentallly ill at the same time (she actually started saying she was bipolar because she mixed it up with bpd like a fucking idiot and has been copying my disadvantages ever since) you’ll know exactly why i’m not going to be very tolerant of this kind of gross stuff on my dashboard. i’m sorry if i come off as a little intense or angry because of that, as i’m guessing most of you didn’t really do much except glance at the black and white costume before you reblogged it, but i’d still rather lay out exactly why it’s not ok instead of simply yelling at you to take it down. believe me, i’ve reblogged nasty things on accident plenty of times before. i understand most of you would never have done that if you’d realized. but now you know, and i really hope you’ll be understanding. i really wish it was just some dumb looking costume that sort of looked like monokuma instead of something gross, but it’s not.
