Hi friends~ Here's an update. First, of course, I'm sorry. I've been gone for too long without any update. It's tl;dr about what's going on with me so feel free to skip to the bottom. The last con I went to was a&g in Cincinnati! It's actually one of my favorites! Unfortunately this past year I made very little money, the con was smaller than it had been... and! I found out it was the last year! :( on top of all of that I caught a nasty cold the Thursday before the con. It was me! I was the one who brought con crud!! The worst part about that is the con just made me get sicker and I was too exhausted to do anything for a week. After that, I had to go back to work. I work full time (much to my dismay). As soon as I was ready to get back to drawing and getting con commissions done my manager had to go to the ER for cellulitis, which could end up fatal. And since I'm the assistant manager I had to fill in, which required a 6 day work week on top of the stress of "OMG IS HE GONNA DIE?" Spoiler: he's fine. Only... he's not? The week after that his wifey went into labor. 3 months early. And she already had a high risk, very difficult pregnancy. They have been in the nicu with their baby for 3 weeks straight now. Every time the baby is doing well, she drops off just as quickly. It's been very hard on them, obviously. But, again, because I'm the assistant manager I have to fill in. I have only worked here for 5 months and I've essentially been in charge, with no training, for nearly a month now. It's just been mentally and emotionally exhausting trying to figure out how to run a store, and be sure every little thing is done, working more hours, giving up my days off... I didn't sign up for this, y'all. Any personal time I've had I've been too exhausted to work on art. I played video games and browsed tumblr. I feel guilty that I keep getting in cycles where I can't draw. I'm starting to feel like I can see the end...because I'm making it happen. I mean... I HAVE to??? I'm supposed to have a coffee shop show next month x_x tl;dr Work is hard right now. If you are expecting art from me, I deeply apologize for the delay. I'm working on it, promise~ I'll be adding extra sketches and stuff for everyone waiting. Thanks for being there.
