- he’s definitely not new to nonverbal people, some passengers / trainers have been before. and despite him being the total opposite of quiet, he was just for you if you needed. if you went nonverbal due to feeling unsafe or uncomfortable, he talks in the sweetest, smallest voice

- if your new mutism is brought on by an overload, he will rush immediately to every corner, changing every little thing. being with you for so long, he’s learned what overwhelms you most — he’ll shut off every light if you need, he’ll turn down the volume of things, or up, he’ll take your unfavorite textures far away, and so on.

- if being nonverbal is not brought on by any overloads and it’s just how you naturally behave, admittedly, he does release a sigh of relief. thank goodness you aren’t stressed! he finds it very cute that you communicate through writing or sign language in these times, and he’s happy to talk the exact same way!

- regardless of his quick-to-blush nature, he’s glad to hold your hand or smother you if you need the stimulation and or affection! his love language is pretty gentle and quiet compared to his speech. he loves bumping his forehead against yours, putting his hat on your hat and complimenting you on how it fits

emmet :

- he’s not new to nonverbal people either, he actually is one at times! he’s certainly not as loud as his brother vocally, but physically he tends to be

- you two are still very lovey even without words. he’ll stroke your cheek fondly with the back of his knuckles, his smile glowing so bright. he loves the fact you two can exist in silence, and yet be so loud. he actually does tease you a little about it — joking that you’ve gone speechless because of him. 

- his technique on handling overloads was kind of dramatic, to say the least, if your nonverbal trait was brought on by one. instead of ingo making the environment more comfortable, emmet showed no hesitation when scooping you up and rushing you to another, quiet, room. without a word, he’ll hold you close and rock you back and forth rhythmically. “you are safe, y/n. i promise!”

- he’s actually very defensive if you demand silence in these moments, hushing everyone around or aggressively gesturing to be quiet with his index finger to his mouth. he’s good at grabbing your attention back to him, however, when he sweetly cups your face and makes you look to him instead of the noisy disturbances 

- if none of this was triggered by being overwhelmed, he wipes his forehead of his worries. he does enjoy these quiet moments with you, he’ll ramble or have a casual conversation with you, while all you respond with is a nod and a smile. to him, these gestures mean everything.

- the first time you said that, whether accidentally or intentionally, he was quick to blush! he definitely wasn’t opposed to the idea of marrying you of all people, but actually hearing you call him that took him out in a second

- the second time you said it though, he was so embarrassed, he just had to ask about it now. after hearing that you were serious when you slipped out those words, he stammered and stuttered endlessly, playing with his fingers anxiously before scooping you up in a bear hug! he couldn’t stop repeating how happy he felt to be with you!

- hisui, being so old, had peculiar marriage traditions, which adaman could only give a bashful frown to before looking away. the two of you were a bit shy to the concept of the most popular tradition, where the rest of the village and family members would attend, until you had to snap adaman out of his trance. we’re not getting married now, dummy.

- his affections seemed a bit more intense ever since you first called him that, he was more clingy, if possible, and treated you gentlemanly. he did once offer to carry you after noticing your exhaustion, and coincidentally, he carried you bridal style. you just heated up and fumbled over your words, while he gave a toothy beam.

- what did you just call him?! he adjusted his tie and cleared his throat, brushing off your words, perhaps you weren’t thinking when you said it...

- it was only until you said it a second, third, fourth, and further time that he finally dropped the oblivious act. fidgeting with his tie, holding his hat in place as to cover his face, you completely took his breath away when you said it wasn’t an accident that you called him that

- he’s always been fun to tease, but it seems now you’ve found his ultimate weakness! his frightened reaction whenever you’d come into the gear station and ask, “how’s my husband doing today?” was hilarious. his wobbly frown struggled to move for him to speak. “i-i’m just fine, y/n! how are you, b-beloved?” 

- he was quick to shake his head and exclaim that he wasn’t against the idea of marrying you, he’d be more than happy to! though, he only got more flustered at the sight of you looking as though you’d be caught in a heavy wind due to his shouting... 

emmet :

- when you said it to emmet, it was only to catch him off guard when he was calling you a petname. “my honeypie. y/n!” “my husband, emmet!” just as he reached to greet you with a hug, you had stopped him dead in his tracks. barely able to utter another word, you just laughed at his speechless expression

- the twins definitely had their own unique ways of showing awkwardness. emmet was quick to not play the oblivious card — he immediately asked what you just said. did you mean that?! 

- like ingo however, he too was easy to catch by surprise, which you were addicted to doing of course. a few times, you had knelt on one knee purely intentionally to pick up something he had dropped, only for him to cover his face, his smile weakly staying in place.

- when resting at home, your head on his chest as you used him as a full body pillow, you hummed contently as he played with your hair... and suddenly brought up that he’s been thinking of the wedding. now was his turn to laugh, your widened eyes told him all he needed to know!

raihan :

- oh, he’s totally on board! though at first it seems like he’s only using your words against you, turning them into trendy text. once, he took a selfie with the caption, “me and the spouse <3 :3″ but you immediately pulled away, puffing your red cheeks with a grumble. “o-oh, shoot, sorry, y/n! i’ll delete it, look!” he fumbled to delete the image as he leaned on you to comfort you

- despite messing up the first time, the second time you called him that, his heart actually skipped a beat. wait... you were serious? his gaped mouth was a priceless look, you swiped his phone to snap a picture of him in the unmoving state as payback! you two certainly acted like a married couple already.

- he loves fitting his fingers through the small gaps next to yours on your hands. in fact, he caught you off guard when he didn’t let you take your hands back, his fang poking out of his mouth as he gave a smug grin. “i’ll let you go if you forgive me and agree to marry me tomorrow.” the moment progressed to him smothering you in his arms as you playfully struggled to escape, him constantly telling you to marry him 

- he’s a bit too genuinely on board with the idea. as the two of you go out for a stroll, he’ll point out places that would be good for the wedding, the people you should invite, the best spots for photos — he makes you you regret ever saying anything!
