What do you do when you've got three unexpected guests on your little island? You get cooking!

Fun fact: Moonfish is a real fish! However, I think the one in the comic is a whitefish, while actual moonfish is a redfish. I'll put the recipe I made for the script below the cut!

(Castoff Fanart Marathon #12: Marina Time #2)

Moonfish Filet & Fresh Vegetables Marina's quick and filling meal for new friends

Ingredients 1 moonfish, cut into fillets with skin removed Lemon Garlic, ~1 clove per fillet, minced Herbs, rough chopped (sage, basil, and parsley) Salt Carrots Kale or lettuce Cherry tomatoes

Directions

Coat pan with a thin layer of oil and preheat so the oil begins smoking.

Cover both sides of each fillet with salt and herbs.

Peel and slice the carrots.

Saute garlic until aromatic (about 15 seconds).

Add fillets and carrots to the pan and immediately squeeze lemon over them.

When fillets are seared on the bottom, cover pan with lid and steam everything for a bit.

Meanwhile, wash leafy greens and arrange on plate with tomatoes.

Plate fillets and carrots next to the salad.

Serve and impress your surprise guests!

Some doodles of my pathfinder party (+height ref Marcel). Mostly trying to figure out what they all look like. The humans are pretty easy... the undine lizardfolk a bit harder.

I'm going for kinda a croc/gator inspo, mostly because I like the look of kroxigors. However, crocodilians are not actually lizards. So maybe I should go with more of a marine iguana look? Nvm, asked the player and we are 100% on for crocodilian!

I feel like an idiot–I've been drawing with a worn-out nib for months, with no idea that my tablet came with replacements. Anyways, nib replaced and drawing is going a lot smoother now.

I've got a ton of story ideas, but I really want to experiment with my process before I commit to a full, long-form webcomic. Maybe it won't be my magnum opus, but it'll certainly be a serious thing I'd like to hold in my hands one day.

Looks like Route 1 and Cooking Knight Adventures will be my experiments.

Castoff AtLA AU. Kinda proud of the Rori sketch, might clean that up for Rori time. Wasn't sure what to do with Sage, since we know so little about him; other than that he's the source of everyone's problems, obviously.
