I Caved.....

I went ahead and started filling the book I made a few months ago. I mulled it over for a long time, and decided that having a grimoire in my altar space that wasn't a 5" thick binder was a really nice idea.

Here are a couple of my favorite pages from the book so far.

I'm truly enjoying this project. The art aspect is really fun and is challenging my creative side, but I am having more fun with the challenge of writing in a straight line on a page with no lines. What do you think, am I doing well?

I lost my brother to suicide on April 3rd, and more than anything I wish I could have reassured him he was loved. I wish he knew just what a gaping hole he's left in our hearts. I wish he knew how much I still needed him.... Tell people you love them folks. Life is so short, and anything can happen.... We can lose people in the blink of an eye for whatever reason....

Broom Closet Witch Tip:

If you need to make custom tea lights with some herbs or crystals, but don’t have a way or privacy to use your oven to melt down the candle to add your herbs. One option that I just tested out and discovered to actually work quite well is to use a wax melt warmer. Just place the tea light with the metal foil casing on top and let the candle melt inside the little cup and then you can add your ingredients. For added safety you can add a silicone cup or liner of some sort if you’re a bit apprehensive about having the foil cup be in direct contact with the warmer. However it worked well I’m my case with just placing the tea light directly on the ceramic tray of the wax warmer.

Intuitive Crafting

I love doing intuitive crafting. It's really a great way to work on trusting your intuition. I've got a WIP that I'm really hyped about.

I recently went through something very traumatic, and rather than go into total self-destruction, I channeled that energy into making a jewelry box, special pen and a handcrafted book. They aren't totally done, but I feel comfortable sharing a video and some photos of the progress I've made.

WARNING: FLASHING IS IN THE VIDEO. I'LL PROVIDE PICTURES BELOW IT.....

I still have a bit more to do on it.... but I'm extremely pleased on what I've accomplished.

I'm very happy with the way it's turning out. As I mentioned before in a previous blog, each stitch in the notebook was done with a prayer, intention, wish, etc. in mind, totaling over four hours.

The box's crystals are each infused with specific intentions regarding what I want imbued into my jewelry in regards to how I see myself or what I need on that particular day.

The pen has a dark amethyst and goose feather atop the cap, a wire and twine wrapping down the cap and body, and some little trinkets attached for... ya know... stuff.....

I can't wait to finish it up and consecrate it. Tonight's song is Poison By Angel Dust from the Prime series hit, Hazbin Hotel.

I ended up really relating to Angel, though my trauma wasn't like his. I feel like many of us can resonate with the lyrics heavily.... I know I did....

So I found Aaron Bushnell's reddit and went through his comments/posts. That young man was well read and stable as they can be. Nothing in his writings pointed to someone who was "unstable" or "brainwashed".

He held leftist and anarchist ideals. He belong to the ACAB subreddit. He recognized the evil of the US Military even though he himself was a part of it. He hated TERFS and called out fatphobia. He understood the dangers of white supremecy and the evils of capitalism.

He had a cat. He liked the show fleabag and played elden ring.

Apparently in his will he wants to leave any money in his name to palestinian relief funds. He was trying to find a new owner for his cat.

Rest in peace Aaron Bushnell. The world won't forget & we sure as fuck won't let the media paint you out to be some crazy conspiracy theorist who had no idea what he was doing.

spell ingredients i don’t hear people talk about that i use in my practice. baby witches save this info but tread lightly, it’s not all safe all the time

cat whiskers and claw shavings. if you have a cat you know. keep the whiskers. keep the claws. they’re useful

wax drippings from candle workings/sealing. these are good for long lasting spells in my experience

dead bugs. the ones you find on your windowsill.

cicada skins. the seventeen year ones are my personal favorite for

perfume. scent is the strongest memory trigger. it is also good for whatever effect you associate the scent notes with.

this is gross but fingernails can add a personal element to the process. it’s dedicating a piece of you to the working. because careful what you do with them though

raw emotion. seriously try screaming. rage. despair. visceral joy. use emotion as an ingredient.
