This is all for an upcoming fanfic project I'm working on. Ray and Espio get their own wardrobe change, along with a couple other canon characters like Mighty. It takes place in the modern game verse (not an AU), so a couple characters that haven't made an appearance in the modern 3d games like Ray, Mighty, etc. are getting rebooted for the setting. Espio starts wearing more clothes for plot reasons I can't reveal yet.

The OC character, Skye has a more minor role than the canon characters. She is a 6-7 year old chameleon/hedgehog/butterfly hybrid that is an aspiring ninja and hero. Due to be autistic and being a little sheltered, she struggles socially despite meaning well.

Cobalt Valentino, a human/timber wolf Mobian hybrid. As both a scholar and soldier at heart, he relies both on intellect and physical abilities to win in battle. 

He grew up with Matrix Doyle, the Chaotic detective.  Even though they both shared a love of forensics, Cobalt took the route of becoming a forensic psychologist instead of the more traditional cop then detective role Matrix went for.

After a recent violent incident, Cobalt had to have his left arm and his right leg replaced by robotics parts. His left eye was also replaced with a cybernetic part that makes it hard to tell his eye is part, except when his new eye is used to make scans for analysis.

Let’s just say he has a history with Espio in my fanfic…

Stacy Armstrong, bio mother of Mighty and Matilda and adopted mother of Ray in my upcoming fanfic. She's an established, serious lawyer with many accomplishments under her belt, including running her current law firm she works at and owning another branch at a different location. Her ice queen demeanor allows her keep a level head when she fights toe-to-toe with vicious lawyers trying to dismantle her arguments in court. It doesn't keep her from being a loving mother to her children, even if she can be firm with enforcing rules and discipline if needed.

This is Vanilla's late older sister, Caramel. Let's just say she knew Espio when he was really young in my upcoming fanfic.

Despite being a more rough-and-tumble gal compared to her younger refined sister, Caramel always had a tender, caring heart and brave spirit that inspired Vanilla.

Caramel's ears gave her the ability to fly around and fight in her own way similar to how Cream the rabbit fights today. If only Cream got to meet her aunt.

Thank you, Haiiro_Slash , for helping me with this art. It's for a personal fan project I'm working on. If the design needs improvement, I'm open to ideas. The clothes were mostly my idea, so any design flaws are on me and not the artist, who did a great job with what he had to work with. This is sort of my way of making a game verse of him.

In my setting, how much clothes a Mobian wears and what can be influenced by where one lives. This detail is something that can be a post on its own, so I'll leave it at that for now.

For this design, I was trying to pay a little homage to his post-Genesis wave design, mostly with some color choices. I also used pants that looked like something a camper would wear (he is known to like to travel and nature in his Archie incarnation), a boxer due to relying on his fists a lot in fighting (his tank top), and a sprinkle of martial arts (the bandages and maybe the gloves).

Thank you _Karl0_ for your help!  You didn’t have to got all out on this one, yet you did and I greatly appreciate it.   He’s a Jackson chameleon/tokay gecko hybrid with a little something extra thrown in (last part will be revealed in an upcoming Sonic fanfic).    

Jasper Phantasma was the head of the wealthy and influential Phantasma family. After a devastating attack on a family gathering that wiped out most of his relatives, Jasper and one of his younger siblings were the only living members left in the family. Jasper, as the oldest left, was made head of the family at the age of 12.  Seeking justice for his family, he vowed to avenge their deaths and eradicate corruption among the elites in Rainbow Valley.

Jasper was a suave and charismatic businessman and socialite most of the time, managing to win over countless people’s attention and admiration.  When he “played the villain part”, as he put it, and let loose, he was snarky and battle-eager.  His arch-nemesis, the straight-laced, speedster hero Turbo, and the occasional hero or other adversity that tested his patience brought out this rougher side a lot.  If someone he cared about was in danger his rage, his scariest asset and flaw, came out.  If provoked, his rampages were legendary and often left a trail of destruction in his wake. Jasper's deep love for his family was the driving force behind his obsession with justice and his desire to make Rainbow Valley a better place. He believed that no one should have to suffer the same kind of loss and pain that he did.

However, Jasper's intense focus on his goals often clouded his judgment and led him to cross the line in his methods. He had little hesitation in torturing and killing corrupt political officials and villains, which earned him the label of a Villain in many hero circles and the public eye.  He even managed to earn the official Villain label at just 18, the lowest age the Hero Society will give someone an official Villain label.

Nevertheless, many disadvantaged citizens of Rainbow Valley and occasionally other countries viewed Jasper as an anti-hero willing to get his hands dirty for the greater good. They admired him for his policies and his determination to make a positive change.  

He also was no slouch in battle, knowing how to fight from a young age.  On top of his fighting knowledge, he had super abilities and even supernatural abilities that made him feared by many people, including heroes.  He also knew how to use a wide range of weapons efficiently.  Even his sharp teeth and strong jaw were dangerous weapons, which has allowed Jasper to maim his fair share of opponents.  While he generally acted friendly, beware when you get on his bad side, as Jasper was not a man to be trifled with.

Twin baby wolf siblings Azure, on the left, and Sumire, on the right from my fanfic Fade.  They will likely appear in an upcoming fanfic project taking place in the same setting.  For now, they make a brief early cameo.

Azure is the more shy but sweet brother.  Sumire is the more outgoing and adventurous sister.  They are also sort of Matrix and Millie’s newest foster kids.

Despite being here on Tumblr for a little while, I only now figured out how to link Twitter posts on here.  Yes, I’m an introverted dork who is still figuring out social media and various things involving it work.

This married couple will show up in upcoming fanfic I’m working on.  They’re both doctors and married.  They’re loosely inspired by a couple fictional doctors.  Can anyone guess from where?

They have different last names because it isn’t uncommon for medical professionals to keep their last names to build prestige, such as through research papers, and to avoid dealing with the annoying paperwork of changing their medical licenses.

Craig Klaus, the field mouse on the left, is the eccentric but world-renowned doctor and major medical device/technology inventor.  He can give a rough first impression with his sarcasm and bluntness, especially those that aren’t as used to him.  He will do what he can to help his patients with his abilities, but he’s not afraid to be the bad guy that gives his patients “tough love” if he feels it’s warranted.  Despite his rough exterior, he has a soft side he shows to limited people.  He’s even willing to go out of his way to help people in his own way.  Not that he typically admit it. His husband, an avid anime fan, jokingly likes to call him a “tsundere” sometimes.

Evan Winston, the golden retriever dog on the right, while not quite famous as his husband, is a good doctor in his own right.  He has the friendly, gentle bedside manner his husband lacks as a doctor.  He also acts as the more extroverted, peace-keeper of the duo.  As sweet as he acts toward his patients and most other people, he isn’t afraid to exchange snark between him and his husband.  He’s also a trans man.  Due to medical treatment being a tricky subject for those in the LGBT+ community and many other special cases, it’s not uncommon for him to treat patients that could normally slip through the cracks.

Vector's older brother Matrix and his wife Millie.

Despite Matrix's sharp detective skills, he became more renowned for his strange streaks of luck that caused him to get into various shenanigans. While it has caused him to get caught up in various unlucky scenarios, such as stumbling on a dead body while fishing with buddies on his day off and getting held at gunpoint by a suspect on the way to the crime scene, his luck has helped him arrest many perps and find much-needed evidence to solve a case.

Far more times than not, things wind up working out for Matrix in the end, even when he has to face a few hassles to get there. All this has earned him the title as The Chaotic Detective.

I loosely based Matrix's design like his hat and trenchcoat and his streaks of luck on a variety of detective leads that's common in the mystery genre. For example, a lot of detective leads have to have weird luck to get the plot started and/or moving for their story to be a thing.

Seagull even cleverly gave him similar shoes Poriot wears in his PBS series when they helped me design him. And I have a weird habit of putting at least one character with weird luck in most of my stories.

Millie is his loving neurotic wife who works as an accountant. Her rough upbringing can make her soft-spoken to a fault, despite being a crocodile that is taller than most other Mobians.

Commission’s for @lunarblader x had a lot of fun designing their OC’s with them, which feature in this Fanfiction [AO3]!

I really love Vector so being trusted to design/work with some of his extended family by you was a honour thank you so much
