Sparring is a love language. "Eat dirt" are words of affirmations. Slamming the other onto the ground is physical touch. Throwing rocks and tornados at the other respectively, is giving gifts. Helping the other up once they're done is an act of service. And this whole afternoon is quality time.

They would walk around town, holding hands and frowning at everything disapprovingly.

I think jealousy is a prominent theme during their teenage relationship. With men at the academy making it blatantly obvious that she'd be better suited with someone more like them and the acolytes making their displeasure for Lin's abrasiveness very patent, I think both Lin and Tenzin had their share of insecurities to overcome when it came to their possessiveness for the other. I feel like they'd both be pretty bad at sharing when they're being teased with other people around them.

Sometimes, they like meditating together, only find themselves dozing off ensconced in the other.

Lin likes to tell him little anecdotes from her work at the end of their day and Tenzin always remembers every detail. If it's important to her, it's important to him. Even if it's about what's-his-name who he's sure has a crush on his girl!

Bumi, like a good older brother would often cover for them whenever they'd sneak away for some alone time around the Island. It was mostly around or behind trees or bushes. Although it is Suyin's mission to rat them out.

They like singing duets when sitting together, playing the piano. (don't ask me where this is from hehe).
