Thanks @roxycake !! I recently used this picrew to recreate my elf healer from the old mmorpg called Iris Online. I loved how chaotic he was despite being a good guy.

There’s around 8 hours apart between these two screenshots. In that time the following things happened:

1. I played this 5-hour piano playlist and just had bouts of tears while drawing. It looks like I’m more inspired to draw when I’m listening to things that make me emotional. Special mention to these songs that would instantly make me tear up: Spring Day, Blue & Grey, We are Bulletproof: The Eternal, The Truth Untold, and Life Goes On.

2. I realized that I’ve been putting off coloring the webcomics because there are some parts that I feel are too weak and might not make sense. I’ve been running scenarios in my head to fix it but it’s just, ugh, frustrating.

3. While cutting my dad’s hair with an electric razor, I decided I would add one or two more frames at the top part of the canvas to include more dialogue to hopefully help the flow of the story.

4. I absolutely LOVE drawing Plato. Tugger is my favorite Jellicle but drawing Plato makes me want to protect him from the world. Just look at the bottom screenshot!! Isn’t he adorable???

5. Apparently, I haven’t drawn adult Munkustrap’s face even when I had the scenes planned out. I must fix that and make sure our Jellicle protector has the exposure he deserves.

It’s perfectly okay to be uncomfortable with certain types of fiction! None of my posts about purity culture are me saying it’s not! Find your comfort zone, and stay in it if you have to. Having boundaries is okay. What’s not okay is trying to implant those same boundaries on other people.

For instance, I’m not a big fan of heavy gore, and I probably won’t read/watch it, but I’m not going to go around telling the people that do enjoy that stuff that they’re wrong for doing so. Again, don’t implant your boundaries on someone else. Not everyone has the same boundaries and comfort levels/zones, and that’s perfectly fine. Just, keep your boundaries, but don’t be an asshole about it.
