sorry i’ve been making so many posts but i just finished the gethsemane and redux episodes of the x-files and let me just say. bill scully shut your trap.

“well where is [mulder] dana?” ??? where have you been? you didn’t show up until this episode. “where is he through all this?” as opposed to scully saying “he’s been supportive through this time.” hmmm maybe you just don’t know your sister and don’t understand she can make her own decisions hmmm maybe you don’t actually know mulder and you therefore have no right to cruelly blame and guilt him and put him down?

he told mulder that he was “the reason for [her cancer]”, the very idea that would have driven mulder to suicide if it were true. but it’s not. if anyone has blind convictions it’s bill. i understand that he’s bitter and grieving but he doesn’t know mulder and clearly he doesn’t know his sister if he thinks she’s just been a marionette to mulder’s ambition. send tweet.

i’m almost done with s4 of txf. it has consumed the very fiber of my being. yesterday i watched 3 hours and 45 minutes worth. i watched so consistently that my thoughts were being formulated as if i was writing a case report or crime analysis.

a truly agonizing relationship dynamic is when person a doesn't want to be saved, doesn't want person b to feel like they have to save them, and then person b refusing to let them go. person b doing absolutely everything in their power to save this person because they won't allow person a to give in to whatever treachery they feel must befall them. person a only wishes for person b to go on without them or without healing or saving or freeing person a. bonus points if person a's sacrifice is one done for the other person and to fulfill some need they have to be a martyr. bonus points if person a's only will is for person b to do what they could not do themself, or to not stand in the way of person b's personal triumph and happiness and life.

i’m in the middle of season 4, please no spoilers i beg of you

something that has been bothering me is the fact that they changed the appearance of samantha’s abduction. i LOVED the original memory and it served so much relevance and reason. by the original one i mean in which samantha is taken at night in her room in which mulder wakes to a bright light and can hear her calling for him but he can’t move. that makes sense and is cool!! i however cannot like the updated memory for some reason though it just… the setting and circumstances are so strange. don’t you think too many people would’ve seen it? i mean we don’t necessarily know but it just doesn’t make sense. that’s aside from the fact that the visual representation of the updated account was less cryptic and less impactful. i mean maybe i’ve missed something but they changed it right???
