monty: augustin, i don’t really have an explanation for this other than it’s a cajun name and i heavily associate monty with cajun culture lmao

roxy: atalanta, meaning ‘equal in weight’ in greek— the myth about her was that she would only marry a man who could beat her in a race, and she was so fast that practically nobody could, until a man enlisted the help of aphrodite to win the race. i just feel like the name rlly fits her!!

chica: brie or ambrosia (ambrosia being the food of the gods)!! i have no real meaning for these either, i just think her having the name of a food is a cute idea since she likes food
