‘um... no?’ lorcan rushed to leon’s side, wrapping his arms around his waist to help him stand up. ‘c’mon, leo. you’re not getting out of bed. pomfrey said not to! why would you break her heart like that?’ he ushered leon back towards the pout with a very soft pout on his lips. ‘you know it’s not your fault, leelo.. right?’

“No, no, I’m FINE,” Leon grumbled as he got out of the hospital bed. After the Hufflepuff’s loss in the game, he was a mess. As the new captain, he wanted to make a good impression and show the rest that the badgers were a serious competition. And now he felt like failed his team and his House. “I need to book the pitch before the Slytherins do it first,” he mumbled as he tried to keep his balance but in reality, he looked like a Bambi learning how to walk. If Leon was petty and extra, he’d be actually OFFENDED by the fact that Lorcan thought Leo wouldn’t want to snuggle with him for any reason. That was something that was never going to happen. “Is it even possible to be cold in Australia? Their winters are warmer than our summers!” Leo quirked his brow and pressed a kiss to Lo’s nose. He was still pouty because the cuddles had to stop for a bit as if Lorcan couldn’t sing to him without the guitar, right?. But knowing how important it is to him, Leon only smiled encouragingly and waited for him to start singing. He already knew he was going to love whatever the song was going to be. Lorcan could even sing a hate letter in German and Leo would still think it’s the most beautiful thing he has ever heard. Throughout the song, Leo was getting more and more confused with every second of it. Was it about him? Was it about someone else? Or maybe someone just asked Lorcan to write them a song for their crush? Leon wrapped his arms around his legs and rested his chin on top of his knees, his eyes still fixed on Lorcan. He was sure he had feelings towards him that differed from the feelings he had for Noah or Leia or Severus, or for any of his friends. The biggest problem seemed to be with naming exactly what it was that made Leo feel like that. It was surprising that someone this affectionate like Leon had any troubles with being in touch with all of his emotions and feelings. Love was too simple, too broad, and too general he loved all of his friends, but if someone pointed their wand at Leo and make him answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question if he’s in love with Lorcan, he would definitely say yes. For the lack of better alternative, love would do. “That was… wow,” Leo spoke after a while, wiping the tears that slipped down his cheek away. He didn’t even know why he started crying – he’s just a sensitive person, many things, even happy things can make him shed a tear or two or two hundred. “What made you write it?” he asked, not wanting to be led by his emotions too much, in case the song wasn’t actually about him thus, saving himself from eternal embarrassment. And saving himself from getting upset – he wouldn’t be able to look Lorcan in the eye if all of that turned out to be not true and Leon would die if he wasn’t going to get to be this close with Lorcan ever again which would inevitably happen if he was reading into it too much and destroy their friendship.

lorcan’s heart was in a million places at once, this much had always been true. he had too much of it and wanted to fit in as many people as he possibly could but this became rather confusing when it came down to sorting out his feelings. yes, he loved hestia. yes, he loved pandora. and yes he absolutely loved leon. maybe he still loved all three of them? to him, it was never about gender it was about people’s minds, their hearts and their souls and with leon, lorcan was absolutely smitten about everything about the boy. from his curls to his loving heart to his incredibly leadership skill and how he’d never stop caring. but was he in love with leon? now, that was a difficult and loaded question. he wrote songs about him, he kissed him and he slept next to him but when it came down to figuring out how deeply rooted his feelings were, lorcan often chickened out. in a sense, anyway, he thought why bother messing with something that isn’t broken? ‘you did, sweetheart.’ lorcan sighed out softly, his gaze softening as his fingers leaned forwards to wipe away the tears that had escaped his eyes. ‘because of the way you build up everyone else’s confidence, and you make everyone else feel better but can’t listen to compliments. you’re perfect in my eyes, leo. absolutely lavishing, there’s not a single thing i’d change about you. and i wanted you to know, that you’re beautiful. and you’re perfectly imperfect. i love your crooked smile, your awful dance moves and even your occasional glittery dumbledore beard. i just love you lots, okay?’ he set his guitar aside, nearly leaping straight into leon’s arms and not caring if he’d lose his balance and fall off the couch, ‘don’t forget how much i love you, sweet leo.’
