Its very funny how every fic with Lilianna and Dob (Usually in Katie Pearlhead x Lilianna fics) portray Dob as hopelessly, madly in love with her, avoiding all red flags in order to be with her, usually to the groups detriment.
Yet the one canon time they actually meet again Dob immediately loses all love over an argument about how she washes the dishes
Dob truly is a Dark Horse.

Note on PT Forms
I think its interesting how Key's Phantom Thief form is a priest. His personality is all about thinking he's some special supernatural person with powers, so wouldnt his idea of a rebel be someone who is similarly special or standout, instead of a priest, someone who is symbolized to REMOVEor exorcise the very spirits and oddities Key is interested in?
I think the PT forms in P5X represent a mixture of characters desires than their idea of a rebel, Key may want to be seen as normal despite his oddities, he cares about his image in a way a similarly odd character like Yusuke may not care for. Same could be said for Mont, who is a former figure skater, and whose outfit is JUST a figure skater.

Yeah, this is for 3rd beta, idk how much things might have changed between that and the official release, but presumably there won't be too much difference since the time between betas is shorter.

After "Hymm of the Leaf Flute" is used, gain 1 [Green Leaf].
Skill Levels of "Hymm of the Leaf Flute" and "Combat Skills" are increased by 2 Levels.

After an enemy is affected by Tomoko's Sleep effect, the next damage it receives will be increased by 30%.

Good Night Song(Level 1): Inflicts (32% Chance) Sleep on a foe for 1 round. When using this skill, if Tomoko has [Ye Ming Minor], the probability of sleep increases by 48%. [20 SP]
Hymm of the Leaf Flute(Level 1): Increases damage caused by an ally by 15%, and consume all [Green Leaves] on Tomoko. Each [Green Leaf] consumed increases the damage by an additional (0.23% for every 10% of Tomoko's Effect Hit Rate; Max: 4.5%) [22 SP]

Ode to the Double Blade (3 Star):
Health: 98
Attack: 28
Defense: 23
When inflicting Sleep, Effect Hit Rate is increased by 27.1%
Shadow Dance Double Crown (4 Star):
Health: 131
Attack: 38
Defense: 30
Attack increased by 12.0%. After inflicting Sleep, the defense of the sleeping enemy is reduced by 10.8% for 1 round.
Dream Weaver (5 Star):
Health: 164
Attack: 48

----------
Analysis
Tomoko is in a weird place, being an alright Support, but with a niche in increasing the Effect Hit Rate of allies. For the allies, that do care about getting effects inflicted on allies, this can greatly help consistentcy, however, they are also giving up much more pottentially useful support such as Bui's much better Attack buffs and Critical Hit rate boosts, or Leo's Shields. She can still be very useful, she's just a bit more niche than Leo or Bui, who's niches are much more generally useful and applicable to most characters in a way that helps push damage or protecting benchmark, which will be seen as more important and trackable than consistency.
Good Teams to use Kotomo in are:
Kotomo - Riddle - Haru:
A very powerful Mono-Psi team. Kotomo helps Haru inflict her [Special Treatment] on foes, which sets up her gameplan to deal major enemies to foes with her Firearm. She also sets up Sleep, which will further increases Haru's damage due to the foe having a mental abnormality. Riddle's effect resistance debuffs on foe's makes Kotomo and Haru work extremely well together, with Kotomo's Attack buffs and Riddles wide variety of debuffs lets Haru shine. Probably one of her best teams.
Kotomo - Riddle - Closer:
Kotomo buffs up Closer with Attack and Effect Hit increases, while Riddle applys many debuffs on the enemy, including Effect Resistance . This allows her to get off consistently strong damage with her [Conductive] spreading to many foes. May prove frail without a dedicated tank to help them out, or a healer.

I know a Madoka Magica mobile game that had the same gacha aspect of summoning different magical girls, but each one had a small side story that would show how they became one/ their story up to that point
While the Phantom Idols are only cognition, it would still be cool to have something like that, to show what an awakening for them COULD be like.
two things i want to see, though one's unlikely and the other's a lot of work in P5x. 1) male navigator. t 2) all of these characters have such amazing designs and stories behind them that i want to see awakenings for each one.
Oh, same on both counts, absolutely! You'd think if they're going to have such a big cast of characters, they could have one male navigator, and yet it really does look unlikely. Maybe someday...
And yeah, awakenings would unfortunately be a lot of work, but it would be nice if they could work it in somehow/maybe have it as some kind of unlockable content when you max their Confidants at least, or something? At the very least, we can dream, haha...

----------
Analysis
As one of the 3 Tanks, and one of the 2 Ice Tanks, Soy fills his role of protecting the party very well. Compared to Yusuke, who is much more offensive focused, Soy has much more party support, with his Max Health buff working well with character such as Key to increase his [Holy Fire] DOT damage, or with Yuki and Akechi to make the most out of their Blessing buffs. His defense decreasing effects help him provide good support for DPS, even if it may pale in comparison to specialized defense debuffers such as Rin. At max investment, he can even serve as an off-healer, with a potential 100% chance to heal the ally with the lowest health with his [Wild Savior] recovery. He fits very well into squishy teams that need a lot of help surviving, something that Yusuke may not provide due to his focuses on counterattacks. As a free story based character, he will be very easy to train, so I'd recommend upgrading him to a decent level.
Recommended Teams:
Soy - Yuki - Akechi: Yuki and Akechi already work well together with stacking Blessing buffs, and Soy just makes the team have even more survivability. Yuki's shields and defense increases helps Soy survive when getting attacked by enemies, and his natural aggro draw + increased aggro from Wild Savior helps with consistently making sure Akechi and Yuki don't get hit before thay can set up their gameplans. Lacks as much pure burst damage compared to other setups, but it is very reliable and can help sustain through long or grueling fights.
Soy - Key - Ann: Replacing Cattle with Soy in the Mono-Fire team does lose out in Burn consistency to help Ann's attack buffs, and loses the Attack + Fire Damage increases from Cattle's [Star Fire] and Highlight, but it grants not only more survivability, but his max health buffs will help increase the DOT damage of Key's [Holy Fire], allowing for more sustained damage over longer fights. At high weapon investment, Soy's defense debuffing can almost match Cattle's pure attack increase, and his off-healing can help to mitigate the health loss from Key's [Sacrifice], even if not at the same rate as a dedicated healer.

Thinking about doing a big calculation post on comparing Sephia damage and healing from his "Verses" in comparison to other characters cause I'm a math nerd. And it'd be good to see how he compares to his 5 star dark PI's like Joket and Rin.

Barnaby refusing to get any character development is so funny cause he is set up to go through the classic route of
"Arrogant, stuck-up rich guy learns to be more humble and respect the lives of the poor/ his friends/ his found family"
But at every turn he completely ignores any potential growth.
Gets kidnapped and tortured in a dungeon? Completely represses it and it never comes up again. What torture? Nothing bad has every happened to Barnaby Fortesque.
Meets an equally insufferable rich person who, GASP, is part of an evil secret society, which is completely against his mora- Oh wait, he is also in that same evil secret society and has no problems with it, and is completely chill with Astor, even as he tries to ruin the life of his coworker/crime friend.
Reach the end of the adventure, about to change the world forever, and everyone gives their speech on what they learned and why they won't accept a world without magic, debunking Astor's call to their vices, and when Astor goes to Barnaby, the one person who he admits will suffer THE MOST from this, what does Barnaby say to refute him? What life changing lesson in humility is this character archetype obligated to learn that will cause an acceptance in a drastic change in the status quo, that will negatively affect him?
"Oh I completely agree with everything you're saying and I don't like nor understand why everyone wants this 'equality' thing so much, but Im too lazy to stop it and I'm so rich I'll just bounce back from this lol."
Incredible. Excellent. Amazing. Peak character tbh Idk what else to really expect from him.

The OG Guild retiring makes sense and I'm sure the new characters and setting will be just as wonderful but ahhhhhhhh.
I love the Oxventurers Guild so much and getting used to the fact that they won't have any more stories after the Final Season is gonna hurt, doubly so if they all don't get a happy ending or they TPK.

Thinking about Extinction and how the argument over the hag and the dead children really shows how different Dob's morality is from Merilwens and how it can easily just implode.
Merilwens True Neutral is a more "I'm okay with most things except for THIS one specific thing that I will moralizing aboit", with that thing being nature and animals. In most other situations, she let's herself go along with any plan Corazón or Dob comes up with, while tugging slightly into a more Good-aligned direction.
Dob however is very "This is right and this is wrong and I will not compromise my morals unless I decide not to" which can make him pretty hypocritical in terms of how moral he is when he has an unabashed crush on Lilianna.
So when they come across a situation that probably hits very close to home for Dob (He knows the pain of losing, or thinking you lost a family member and wouldn't want whole families tp go through that) but isn't that big of a deal to Merilwen, they sort of just implode in passive aggressiveness since neither are really willing to compromise their friendship or morals.
Anyways this was all just to say I like their dynamic when they get to disagree and be angry. Unfortunately I am not confident enough in my writing to fanfic an argument.

So... Deadlands but make it a Guild?
Putting it under read more because there's a lot.
So given the Deadlands characters have very little backstory we are headcannoning a lot here. Bare with me.
Edie, I imagine as a rouge (was torn with bard), who uses her sweet charms to get the information she needs. Picks up shifts in taverns in exchange for a roof for a few days.
Garnet is just Prudance 2.0. Since we don't know much of backstory, I can imagine her being a reserved magic user who does not talk about where her magic comes from, because lets be honest a less than savoury patron really doesn't go down well. (Also the idea of her having like a deck of many things, or where her patron picks the cards delt to deal damage would be fun)
Silas, I'm sorry this man is a barbarian. There is no other thing he could be, it's the unfiltered rage. Though I liked the idea of him duel wielding blades like his pistols. Also having miss matched armour to reflect he used to be someone important, the hints of his 'law man' image.
Nate, Okay so. Nate I struggled with. I'm thinking a paladin of some kind? Also I don't know how to translate, was at one point dead and now lives on alcohol and jerky, other than the common stereotype of Dwarves. So. Yeah. Sorry Nate. Though I do imagine him keeping his shirt as if it was something his late wife embroiderd for him and now it's too sentimental to get rid of so it's got patches holding it together.
Delacy, the idea of this relatively human party having a child half orc running around with them felt apt but also the level of humor of oxventure. Also Delacy being an unusually strong child also very good. I can imagine him being a fighter or some combat specific class.
If anyone has any better ideas, hit me up I'm not 100% on all of these, so please add your own to them.

P5X BUI Gameplay Details
(Information below has been machine translated, and interpreted to the best of my ability, may not be entirely accurate)

HP: 248
Attack: 98
Defense: 50
Speed: 105
Persona Trait (Awareness Level 0):
Big Project! Start:

------
Awareness Levels:
After using the skill "Super Rare Reward", Bui will immediately activate [Chase] at an additional 100% damage after any ally deals damage with a skill, 2 times.
Skill Levels of "Super Rare Reward" and "Combat Skills" are increased by 3 Levels.
After an ally with [Rare Seed] causes a critical hit, increases the critical hit rate of Bui by 33% for 1 round.
Skill Levels of "Eye Shot Surprise Box" and "Explosive Bricks" increased by 3 Levels.
After using Highlight, the critical hit rate of all allies increases by 63% for 1 round
[Rare Seed] increases attribute(element) damage by 100% for 1 round.
-----
Active Skills:
Eye Shot Surprise Box(Level 1): Deals (38.4% Attack Power) Elec damage to all enemies, with a 19.2% chance to inflict [Shock] on the enemy for 2 rounds. The chance to inflict [Shock] on the main target of the skill is increased by 25.6%. [18 SP]
Explosive Bricks(Level 1): Deals (60.8% Attack Power) Elec damage to one foe. This skill's critical hit rate is increased by 40%. Afterward, make Bui's next [Chase] have a 60% chance to inflict [Shock] on foe. If Bui caused a critical hit with this skill, the 60% [Shock] chance will persist for 1 additional [Chase].
Super Rare Reward(Level 1): Gives target ally the [Rare Seed] state, increasing their attack power and critical strike rate by 9.9%, with an additional increase based on Bui's critical hit rate, up to a max of 20.7%, for 1 round. Also increases the Attack Multiplier of Bui's next 2 [Chase] to 39.2% for 2 rounds. (Cooldown time of 1 round) [24 SP]
HIGHLIGHT(Level 1): Increases the attack power of all allies by 32% and their critical hit rate by 16% for 2 rounds.
Passive Skills:
Agility: Increases critical hit rate against electrocuted enemies by 9%
Shine: When an ally with [Rare Seed] attacks an enemy with less than 50% HP, attack power is increased by 20%.
-----
Weapons:
Virtual Disrupter (5 Star):
HP: 148
Attack: 58
Defense: 30
Critical hit rate increased by 18%. When any ally causes a critical hit, Bui gets 1 stack of [Reward Points], at a max of 6 stacks. When Bui uses a skill on an ally, their Attack Power is increased by (6% * Number of [Reward Points] Stacks), for 1 round. When [Reward Points] reaches 6 stacks, increases the Attack Power of all allies by 18%.
-----
Analysis
Yui is a very potent Attack Supporter, who is the most efficient Phantom Idol at increasing ally damage(so far). Through pure attack power increases and by critical hit rate increases, Yui provides many options for increasing the attack power for the whole group. The [Chase]'s she can do also allows her to pack on lots of extra damage, which makes her function much better as a damage dealer compared to other Support Idols such as Leo. She does well with allies who can do a lot of consecutive hits such as Closer, or Joker, who naturally have more chances by getting an extra turn.
Some Potential Idols she would have good synergy with would be:
Closer: Yui being good at inflicting [Shock], works well with Closer, who increases damage on Shocked enemies. Her consecutive hits allow for a higher chance of getting critical hits, which means more [Chase]'s for Yui, leading to more damage for Closer and the rest of the party.
Morgana: Yui's critical hit bonuses can allow for Morgana's "Miracle Punch" to have an extremely high chance of causing a critical hit, allowing Morgana a chance to gain more stacks of [Intuition] to allow for more healing.
Joker: Extra turns will allow for more chances to critical hit, and Joker's high attack potential mixed with Yui's buffs and critical hit rate boosts allow for very high amounts of A0E damage.
