I’m raising $750 until 05/04/2024 for Recover car repair costs.. Can you help?

So yeah,this is the bad day I was referring to yesterday. My car was in the shop for two days and yesterday it got fixed which was good of course but the costs got me.

I see other people try this on here so I figured maybe I can ask for a little help for once as well. I have attached a fundraiser on my PP to help recover some costs from my car repair. Like the fund raiser says, I had savings thankfully that did take care of a good chunk of the costs but still had to use a CC to cover the rest. I'm trying to get that taken care of and the remaining goes back to my depleted back up savings.

Anything helps, even if it's just a reblog! I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Well said. I too am just gradually coming to terms with Toriyama's passing. Too soon, way too soon. The world had lost an important cultural icon last Friday, March 1st.

I'm not sure what to say so I'm just gonna type out what comes to mind, the news of Akira Toriyama passing away came as such a shock that I needed a minute to process it, even now it's still surreal to me.

We lost a legend, a wonderfully creative soul who made an impact that reached far and wide. His works have been a part of my life since I was a teen, I'm so much older now. It hurts but his legacy will live on, his hard work and dedication will not ever be forgotten.

For me personally, I thank him for giving me an outlet, a creative muse, and inspiration. Drawing dbz fanart and taking inspiration from his other character designs is what shaped me into the artist I am today and I'm forever grateful for the journey.

The DBZ fandom gives me such joy still to this day. I remember reading the OG DB manga in Dutch, faithfully buying the new issues when they came out. I remember bonding with my middle sister over the anime, we would sit in front of the TV and comment on things we noticed in the episodes we watched. I remember discussing anything and everything db-related with friends and classmates and later on online friends.

I remember the early days of shipping fandom, the early days of K18 and I'm so humbled to know some of us are still here from back then and how far we've come. How much more support there is now. I remember making this blog because I missed the old fandom rings and websites and wanted to share more positive Krillin content and by extend more K18 content. This blog is very dear to me and it's all been made possible because of one man and his wonderful ideas.

But I'm most thankful he gave me one of the best characters in Anime/manga in my humble opinion. A character I can relate to in so many ways and who's helped me through some of life's ups and downs. Krillin is special to me, he's always been my favorite so I just had to sketch something to show my appreciation.

Rest in Peace, fly high on Nimbus, and watch over us from beyond, Toriyama-Sensei.

Yet another nice K18 analysis from Sweetescapeartist.

What sort of relationship hangups do you think Krillin might have had? A lot of people talk about 18 and what hers might be, but what about his? I mean, he was abused as a child, he was 30 years old and hadn't had a single romantic interest, shucks he'd probably never even been kissed let alone been intimate before which can be very embarrassing for a man, he died a virgin twice... you have to think he's got some hangups after all that.

I would have to say that Krillin had to fight off low self-esteem from bullying since he was a kid, depression from Goku recently dying a second time, & intense trauma from dying twice and almost dying multiple times and from seeing his friends & bystanders suffer/die.

So, when starting their relationship, 18 would initiate it just as she did with the famous kiss.

Despite all of Krillin's hangups that we both mentioned, he would try to mask his insecurities and pain with comedy while being genuinely compassionate towards 18. But Krillin would be neglecting himself in different ways. He's the kind of guy who will do for others he loves at the cost of his own well being (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual). And I believe 18, in her own way, would do things to show compassion for Krillin & how much she appreciates him and everything he does for her. Krillin would be that listening ear and comforting shoulder for 18 to cry on or hold her in his arms. And 18 isn't as cold as ppl think she is as innacurate depictions of her in GT and by Toyotaro make her to be. She puts up a tough exterior, but lets her gaurd down around Krillin. She would also show physical actions of affection by listening to him intently, kissing him, rubbing his head, & hugging him.

Sidenote... I love this little reference in DBS EP 76 to Krillin & 18's first encounter! 💕

And regarding intimacy, even though Krillin died a virgin twice, 18 has no recollection of her past to know if she was a virgin or not. So, regardless if she was or wasn't, their first intimate moment was something special. (I actually wrote part of a fic about this years ago & forgot about it... 😓)

So, despite both of their traumas & insecurities, they would build each other up due to being what the other person needs. They are in a way reflections of each other who both want the best for the other. Krillin's selflessness & genuine kindness gets 18 to open up more who in turn gives Krillin the affection he needed.

I know it was mainly supposed to be about Krillin, but K18 reflect each other so well that I had to mention her side of things a bit too!
