Something To Talk About (Stogan WIP)

Apologies for not posting anything in a long while - I do have a number of WIP's in various stages - this is one of them. It's intended to be Stogan, but from the eyes of their colleagues. Here's what's intended to be the first chapter of the series, featuring Max Greevey and Paul Robinette:

And to think it all started with a bet. 

Max Greevey, Detective Sergeant with the NYPD, was complaining once again to his wife Marie about his partner, Mike Logan. Mike had a propensity for being a hothead, especially when it came to dealing with the head prosecutor, EADA Ben Stone - which, unfortunately for Max, happened quite a lot.

“I don’t get him sometimes, Marie.” Some weeks, there’s no fighting, and those were some pretty intense cases. But other times? Whew,” Max waved a hand, “It’s like cats and dogs. Paul and I can’t figure it out. They argue all the time.” 

Marie slid a cup of coffee to her husband. “Have you tried talking to Mike about it?”

“Of course, I have!” Max replied, before taking a sip, “Mike is - well, Mikey is going to be Mikey.”

“Have you tried talking to Ben, then?”

“Paul said he’d handle that,” Max shrugged, “Probably better that way. If it doesn’t work, we’ll just try another tactic.” He got up from the stool he was sitting at and made his way to the sink where Marie was, giving her a kiss before depositing his coffee mug in the sink. 

She took a bite of the toast she had just buttered. “You know, honey, maybe it could be something else, did you think of that?”

Max was shrugging into his suit jacket as he considered the thought, “I don’t know, what else could it be other than a clash of personalities and opinions?”

“They could be dating.” Marie said over the top of her mug.

Max froze, staring at his wife in shock. He considered the idea for a moment before dismissing it entirely. “Nah.”

She grinned. “It’s worth a thought.”

“You’ve been watching too many soaps with your mother, honey.” Max joked. 

“I’m serious! People who are passionately against each other are probably either wanting to kill or want to sleep with each other.” Marie continued, “I’m almost willing to bet on it.”

Max stared at Marie, scrutinizing. “$20.”

Marie chortled. “Oh no, Max Greevey. I’m not Mike. Money bets don’t work on me.” She stared back at her husband, challenging, “You do laundry for a month AND you finally get to cleaning out the garage and attic as you’ve been saying you would for a year.”

Max was feeling cocky, confident. No way Mikey and Ben were involved. NO WAY. “Okay, honey. You’re on.”

District Attorney’s Office

Mid-morning

“Robinette.” 

“Paul! It’s Max.” 

“Hey, Max,” Paul flipped through his planner for the day, “Everything okay? Or - do we have a meeting I forgot about.”

“Everything is kosher for the moment, and we don’t.” Max confirmed. “I just needed to check if you talked with Ben about…Mike.”

“Uh, no, not quite.” Paul said, sheepishly. “It’s sometimes difficult to breach these things with Ben.”

Max sighed. “I get that. Same thing with this hothead partner of mine.”

Paul sat back in his office chair, smirking, “Wait - you’re not having this conversation with me while he’s sitting across from you?”

Max snorted. “Of course not. He’s not here yet.”

“That’s funny - neither is Ben. Which is weird, he -”

Max interrupted Paul, “WAIT. He what?”

Paul paused, confused. He decided to repeat his last point. “I said Ben isn’t here yet either.” There was silence on the other end, and it concerned Paul, “Max?”

“Maybe Marie is onto something here.”

“Max? Marie, what?”

Max sighed, “Marie had this hare-brained idea that maybe our two amigos could be…..together.”

Paul let out a blast of laughter, startling his next-door office mate. He composed himself quickly, “That’s - ridiculous.”

“That’s what I said!” Max exclaimed, “But now I have to disprove her, or I have to do laundry for a month.”

That revelation caused Paul to break out into more laughter, “I can’t believe you bet your wife. Laundry for a month is a formidable bet. What was your counteroffer?”

“The laundry was the counteroffer. I put down $20.” Max replied. 

“Hmmm. Money bets don’t work on significant others.”

“Tell me about it,” Max bemoaned, thinking of all the laundry he’d have to do if he’d lost this bet, “So, Counselor, do you think you could, I don’t know - see if you notice anything on your end so we can disprove this myth?”

Paul chuckled. “Sure, Max. I’ll let you know -” He glanced up to notice Ben walk into his office, “Oh, speaking of which, Ben’s just arrived. I need to check in with him. I’ll - let you know if I noticed anything.”

“About time you showed up!” Max joked to someone else, who Paul guessed was Mike, “Oh sorry, Paul, my hothead partner’s just dragged his ass in, we need to report to Cragen in a few. I’ll let you know if there are any - developments in the case.”

“Sounds good.”

Guess what? I've been making gifs over the weekend and it's what I'm doing right now since I couldn't sleep and I thought it was better to do something I like. And yes, it's gifs of my ultimate pairing, one that I enjoy even though it was never canon or isn't one that many people appreciate. I do, and so do some of my online friends. It's very lovely and healthy to interact with people that share your interests, instead of, you know, trolling other people's inboxes anonymously.

And my online friends are mature enough to have decent conversations or discussions about everything without freaking out when we don't always agree on something. You can't say the same, honey.

Like, are you serious? I need to develop a brain? Honey, I'm a professional care taker of children and older/sick people. It's my job, I'm literally working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, day and night. [That job is the reason why I haven't been able to write much or work on my WIPs but hey, I'm still good at multitasking because not only do I manage to do my job to everyone's satisfaction - meaning people, household and grounds -, taking care of my precious dogs, manage to educate myself and understand that JD is an abusing monster.]

You're very entertaining, I mean that. Take it as a compliment. Now, I'm going back to making gifs.

A Little Tap (Ben Stone/Mike Logan drabble)

An AU in the sense that Mike and Ben exist in their early 1990s state in 2022, but perhaps with a smaller age gap. Solely for the purpose to explore some parts of social media with my OTP lol.

A Little Background: Developed a little plot (lol) bunny with @loganstonegibbskinney based on the funny audio for "Let Me Spank That Butt" - you can see it in a lot of cute pet videos. See HERE for reference. Anyway, I couldn't not write this drabble - which could very well be fleshed out a bit more. Another WIP for the queue, what can I say? ;) Hope you enjoy.

Ben Stone loved his naps. Mike Logan knew better than to interrupt. The essential phrase being “knew better,” because Mike Logan will do what Mike Logan does. Ben Stone just learned how to deal with it, because in the end, Mike Logan knew how to deal with consequences. 

A soft tap on his butt began to slowly lull Ben out of his slumber, yet rhythmic enough to keep him asleep. 

A light hearted giggle pierced through his sleep-fueled haze. 

Ben knew it was Mike. It was fascinating how Mike’s deep voice could transform itself into childish glee, and Ben loved it. His Michael was a playful individual, and he knew how to loosen Ben up. They were complete opposites, but their differences only solidified their love. 

Still in the deep haze of sleep, Ben was more than aware that Mike was…amusing himself. Ben wasn’t much for social media, but he could recognize the audio from pet videos his kids would text him from time to time.

With a start, Ben realized that Mike was doing a TikTok video. With his (thankfully clothed) butt. His cautiousness eventually pushed him to finally react. 

“You will show me before you post, right?” Came the reply from a groggy Ben. 

His speaking up caused Mike to jolt with surprise, clearly not expecting his lover to wake. He had thought Ben was deep asleep. “Hi,” He said with a cheerful grin as Ben rolled onto his back and stretched. “Had a good nap?”

“Mmm. It was.” Ben looked pointedly at the iPhone in Mike’s hand. “Even the little butt pats were relaxing.” 

Mike looked down, just a little bashful. “I couldn’t resist. It was there, and the opportunity presented itself, babe.”

Ben raised himself to sit next to Mike on the edge of the bed, leaning into him a little. “I’m just glad my naked rear end won’t be on social media. Actually -” He looked at Mike with a pointed gaze. “Please don’t post it online, huh? My kids -”

“Will think it’s funny,” Mike said, interrupting. However, he acquiesced. “Okay, this will be only for my private perusal. Scout’s Honor.”

With a yelp, Mike suddenly found himself flat on his back with Ben straddling him to grab Mike’s phone. With a few taps, he watched the video of his butt (which looked pretty great on screen, he was glad to say) being lightly spanked to the rhythm of the popular audio clip.

“Hmm, that is pretty funny,” the blue-eyed man acknowledged with a chuckle before bending down to slide his lips along Mike’s in a kiss. Before Mike would wrap his arms around his prosecutor boyfriend to deepen the embrace, Ben clambered off of him, and to Mike’s surprise, began to disrobe, and laid down on the bed, ass facing up. 

Mike’s right hand moved of its own accord and caressed along Ben’s bare back and down to his ass. “Uh, Ben?”

“You said ‘private perusal,’ Michael.” Ben turned his head to face his detective boyfriend, smiling sweetly. “You can’t tell me you didn’t want to film that video clip with my bare ass.”

That got a deep, sensuous chuckle out of his lover. Ben felt his heart jump a beat at the look of want on Mike’s face, and the flip of his stomach as Mike’s playful gaze transformed into one of abject desire, as he also disrobed, and once naked, straddled Ben’s legs, camera now aimed at Ben’s ass. 

“Hmm. Don’t think I wanna ‘spank that butt’ anymore, Counselor.” Mike growled, pushing his phone up to Ben. He switched to the front camera, hit record, and handed the phone up to his boyfriend. “Here. Hold it like a selfie,” Ben obeyed and Mike took a cursory glance up and loved the angle, which effectively framed most of Ben’s face and Mike’s position. “This is definitely for my private perusal.”

If Ben had any doubts about Mike’s intentions, those doubts were quickly done away with as Michael lowered himself down and got into a better position to pleasure him, lightly spanking a butt cheek before kissing it. His hands spread butt cheeks apart and Mike dove in with his tongue, flickering and teasing about Ben’s entrance. 

“Oh God, Mike.” Ben moaned loudly as his lover drove him wild rimming him, that tantalizing tongue flickering about his hole, and diving in, interchanging with sucking kisses that nearly made Ben drop the phone. 

“Keep that phone steady, Stone,” Mike said, roguishly, “This is for me, and you. Being able to hear you moan for me, see your reactions - it’s gonna be hot.”

“As long as you - ngh - encrypt this shit,” Ben groaned, “I don’t quite desire our bedroom activities popping up on the internet - ah - okay?” 

Mike looked up at Ben and right into the camera. “You got it.”

I'm with Team Johnny and I don't think it's right anyone to call anyone on Team Ambs names like b****. Delusional, yes, Ambusers, of course, Amderps, (when it's funny) but not mean names like b****. Maybe even call them naive or terfs but only if they follow Eve Barlowe and abuse pronouns out of spite... but not b****.

I hope you feel better. After all, there are folks like myself, just here looking for a healthy debate and fan art of my favorite ships... maybe debate on crack ships even. I ship Our Flag means Death Stede and Ed for one thing... and totally think Eddie Munson is probably someone like Eleven who escaped the institution... that's why he was rocking in the Upside-down place.

I don't think starting a 'healthy debate' by calling me names like "Ambuser", "Amderps" or "delusional" is the right way to go. And you made it clear that you basically consider AH supporters like that.

Just so you know: I've been abused by my ex boyfriend! Calling a DV survivor "Ambuser" is low. You obviously haven't heard about DARVO or how people are supposed to treat their partners.

I've stood by each one of my friends who were abused by their partners or family, regardless of their gender, skin color, sexual orientation and so on. I've lost two very good friends, one to suicide because their former partner kept harassing them for years and the other one was beaten to the death. So, for the sake of my sanity, don't bother to defend JD to me. Just don't!

I do support her even though I'm not a fan but that's not the point here. I don't even know who Eve Barlowe is, not that I care actually. It would be better if you would simply respect my opinion and leave it there.

Anon didn't get the point of me talking about JD fans posting out of context content. That one single sentence alone would be bad, yes. And that's exactly why JD fans share this sentence only, not the entire conversation. It has absolutely nothing to do with gender or skin color.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, JD's fans know he's not innocent and that is why they spread out of context stuff of Amber. And JD himself knows he isn't innocent, too.

If a man was telling a woman that he didn't punch her, but he just hit her... What would you feel? Doesn't that feel familiar? Have you ever said that to your partner? Of course not. You wouldn't strike your partner and then tell them to stop crying.

All his lawyers did, was find out if there was any truth to the testimonies and evidence of the other party. When you truly believe in someone, and you have Truth by your side, then Amber's team didn't have a chance because they didn't have either of those.

I'm white, just like JD is. I do not base my opinions on gender, skin color or anything like that.

Thank you for proving my point from my previous ask. JD fans share snippets that are out of context! A man telling a woman that their physical fight was fair is okay to ignore but a woman's response to that must be shared and seen and used to manipulate the facts.

When you truly believe in someone, and you have Truth by your side, then JD and his side wouldn't have started and paid for the smear campaign, they wouldn't have to spread out of context snippets in order to manipulate everyone who's not up to the date with the case.

Hi, just saw your reply & wanted to let you know that Johnny had the right to clear his name & reputation. He also fought for the truth to protect his children, they're his world. I, as a parent, can understand it & think that Amber deserves to be called out. I would also like to apologize for my other Johnny fan calling you a bitch. It's not nice. It was also not okay to accuse you of supporting Chris. I know you never did, I follow that blog because I like him, too & defended him.

Good God, I made ONE post about my stand and my inbox is full of pro-JD folks.

Let me tell you something, as a soon-to-be-mom and caretaker of children full time: If JD gave a f**k about his children, he would have stopped with the drugs and drinking! He would seek help for his addictions, his temper and issues that haunt him. That's what a loving parent - mother or father - would do. Also: If he cared about his children at all, he wouldn't have done the following things: - demanded a public trial, making sure the world finds out what kind of man he really is - start a smear campaign against the woman he married and introduced to his children

Guess what? I AM a woman, I AM going to be a mother and I AM a survivor of domestic abuse at the hands of an addict! I'm not supporting Amber because she's a woman or some other stupid reason his fans come up with. I can relate to her story - even if mine differs. I know what it feels like to be used and abused.

I have a lot of friends of all genders, some are straight, some are not. The abuse they've survived is heartbreaking. Abuse is not about gender as you claim. It's about who holds the power. And while yes, women can be the abusers, in this case the abuser was him.

I've seen first hand how DARVO works and it's what JD used in order to manipulate not just the public but also the jury. Then he has people like you, spreading out of context "admissions of guilt" by Amber but happily and conveniently leaving out what lead to her saying it - in this point it was JD saying it was a fair fight. Guess what darling, it WASN'T!

I'm kindly asking you to unfollow my former Chris Noth blog - now my Mike Logan blog - if you haven't already. As I've stated in my ONE post about the JD/AH case: I love Chris, I still consider myself a fan of his work but at the end of the way, even though I've met him several times, I don't know him. And loving someone's work is no reason to put them on a throne and dismiss other people's horrible experiences. There hasn't been an investigation into the claims so I doubt it will ever be resolved.

If you think that defending a celebrity based on their work and/or public persona without even listening to the other sides, then you're the one with the problem, dear.

What a nice message to receive. And so full of lies, I don't even know where to start. Let's start with me liking posts.

Yes, I believe Amber Heard and it upsets me to see all the hatred towards her. It upsets me how wanna-be experts on the internet tear her apart to justify their admiration of a man with a history of violence. It is my right to believe Amber and to not believe JD, you can't take that away from me. I could go into details about my reasoning but I don't see why I should waste my time with someone who starts a message with "bitch". Show's your respect for (fellow?) women.

Let's hop to the Chris Noth issue. I never denied that I'm a huge fan of Chris and his work, I still am, BUT: I have never defended him against the accusations. Do I want to believe it's all lies? Yes, I do want to believe that but I don't. I've only ever talked about my own experience with him. I've met him several times and there not one moment where was rude or offensive towards me, my relatives or other fans. I had a blog dedicated to his work (chrisnothappreciation) which I had created before the accusations came out and I got a lot of hate for having that blog and so I made the decision to make it about his Law & Order character, Mike Logan --> @mikeloganappreciation.

With their permission, I could give you the names of people I've talked to about the Chris issue and they can verify that I was and still am very torned over the matter, that I never said he's innocent and that those women lied. I couldn't even do that.

Since you obviously mentioned the Chris situation to accuse me of being biased, let me explain it to you: I used to like JD and some of his movies. I actually own a few on DVD and I like to watch them. I think he's a good actor but that is not enough for me to blindly defend him. And just to make it clear: The only movie of Amber Heard I have ever watched is North Country because I adore the hell out of Charlize Theron. So no, I'm not a fan of hers.

I can like an actor and dislike his work, I can also like a character played by an actor I don't like. But that has nothing do with the topic.

I believe Amber because I do and I don't believe that JD is innocent. If you can excuse his texts as him "just ranting or venting to a friend" then YOU are the problem, not Amber. Those texts have proven that what kind of person he is, the way he spoke about several women is screwed up. And it has nothing to do with venting. It's disgusting.

Then you claim he was abused by her. There was a short scene of Amber trying to leave the stand. She was backing away when he tried to get near her. He remained totally unfazed, just shrugged it off. If she had abused him and he suffered from that - like he claimed - he wouldn't have shrugged that off. He would have waited for her to be as far away from him as possible before getting up and do his thing.

I could go on forever but as I've stated above, I'm not going to waste my time explaining my reasoning based on personal experiences with addicts and abusive people. I also won't betray some of my friends by using their own experiences just to try and make someone, who's so blinded by their idol, see reason.

Never has there been such a dehumanization of JD like it's happening to Amber right now, and has been happening for years.

So, allow me to state the following: I like some of JD's work but I stand with Amber Heard because JD himself has shown me - and many others - who he really is. And who is, is not a kind man.

So, this bitch here is wishing you a nice day and hopes that anyone close to you is never suffering from a violent and abusive person in their lives because you are for sure not going to be a supporting and caring friend at all.
