Just used a blank page on Paint and my mouse. Colors are off only because I challanged myself to make a new sprite just from memory and no ref. Decided not to add the Pip-Buck because I was a BIT lazy. Anyways... Art. Have fun making fun of his blank flank again.

Fungeling Sketches by Ravenpuff

Just had the urge to try and draw some concept sketches of the Fungelings from @lk10lenny‘s blog verse, these mutated fungi infected FoE changelings. So darn cool and creepy.

Not sure if I did the designs enough justice, I couldn’t find much in detailed refs that wasn’t obscured or pixel art. Still gave it a good old try.

Lenny’s faces scrunches with almost every word. Each one it seems harder and harder for him to string them into a sentence.

“I’m... not... smart. Ponies, say... when I... Talk. I sound.... dumb. And, every, w-word out of... my... m-....mouth, makes, me, sound... dumber. I... I was told, not to... speak. Because, I... upset the.... the smart ponies. That... That I... I was, to... dumb to... make sense.”

Lenny’s eyes tear up. He looks at Here Heart’s angry face. He is trying so hard to find each word as he continues.

“But... B-but you... E-every pony else, I know... Is gone. They... did not, help me. But you... did. You, helped, me. I... know, I’m not, smart. But... I want... to help... you. You... are... my... f-friend.”

Here Heart’s eyes narrow as Lenny has a few tears running down his face. Lenny is in a panic as he knew opening his mouth again was a dumb, stupid idea. He should have known better. He’s a worthless horse that is to dumb to have even just died back in the stable. He was to dumb to just lay down an-

“Alright then.” Here Heart breaks Lenny’s train of thought. “If ya want to keep following me ‘round, so be it.”

Lenny’s rubs the tears from his eyes hopefully as Here Heart continues.

“I am goin’ to the slums for one reason and one reason alone. My boss lives there. I have ta pay him back some money for the equipment we took on the job. If ya want to come along then ya best be willing to accept the punishment I KNOW he’s about to dish out. He’s a fat slob but he’s got enough muscle to run the slums... and rumor has it, he’s got connections to the Aristocrats too... Now, ya sure ya got my back? Are ya SURE, your willin’ ta be part of a crew? Because if you’re not. An’ I get killed ‘cuz you ain’t got the will ta put your fat behind on the line... then ya need ta get outta ma face.”

“Forget this... I’m going back to the Slums. Lenny, just...” She seems exasperated. “Just leave me alone and stay here. You got enough cash for like... what, few weeks worth of food. You;re fine. I gotta get back to my own people.”

As the group continues to walk, Here Heart seems to continue to get aggravated. The fact that the mission was a bust makes her even more upset. After a two days of walking, no one has drinking water anymore. They planed on restocking at the NCR base. No one got a chance.

Here Heart grits her teeth. “Great, now the only place I can think of going is the dang Slums. After this failure, it’ll probably be the only place willin’ to work with us. This was a good shot to get a name as a merc without havin’ to work with that fat sack of flesh... Dalton wont be happy with me...

Roachelle looks over to Here Heart. “Wait... Dalton? Who is-”

Here Heart cuts her off. “SHUT UP! I don’t wanna talk to a dang bug right now. Mutants or not, your fungus brothers and sisters out there ruined our cash grab.”

Roachelle looks at Here Heart with anger in her eyes. “THOSE ABOMINATIONS ARE NOT CHANGELINGS! Those things... those, Fungleings are using the corpses of infected Changelings. They kill its host and remove all aspects of what they once were...”

Here Heart rolls her eyes. “Whatever. Just... Just shut up. I got things to think about.” Here Heart avoids looking at anyone as she continues to mutter to herself.

Lenny sits awkwardly in the caravan. He wants to say something but can’t bring himself to do so. He sinks into his seat and messes around with the buttons and dials on his pip-buck. After letting out a sigh Lenny notices the French district coming up on the horizon.

Here: “-so WHY did we even come out this way?! This was suppose ta get the kid known and off my back. Joe I swear if you try to swindle us out of pay... GRAHHH!”

Lenny approaches and Here looks at him with rage.

Here: “So where in the world were ya? Roachelle says that the place was infected with some crap that kills ya if ya get bit by an infected beast. Like... some zombie thing. Forget it, I don’t care. Get in the cart and let’s go back to the French district. I swear.... I SWEAR. Next fire fight that happens, I’m guttin’ the idiot that shoots at me. No matta what. DEAD! THEY’RE DEAD!”

Dirty Dan hooks themselves up and sighs.

Dan: “I’m SO getting fired...”

“Paper...? Tastes odd... not like you... Am full... battle... battle hurt Hive... Did not like... You... not like others... others hurt hive... fear hive...... I take paper... keep paper... not eat you... for now... Paid... ‘Tribute’... I, Queen, says so.”

As Lenny begins slowly taking a few steps away and moving towards the caravan and the others, the Queen seems to take a step every third step Lenny takes.

(Edit: Forgot her horn upon upload. Fixed that :) BTW all of this was done on paint except the animation... obvs)

The creature breaths. Its breath is hot as it hits the back of Lenny’s neck. The cold wet tongue brings a stark counter to the heat. The tongue rolls its way around the side of Lenny’s cheek. The glassy eyes of the beast looks over Lenny’s form.

It speaks.

“You... taste... different... Something is off... not the same... as the others... converting you... may bring our hive... great... joy~...”

Lenny’s legs shake as he stands there. He tires not to meet it’s gaze. From it’s voice and what Lenny saw, it looks like its female. Large... Scary. Is it alive or dead Lenny can’t tell.

(Double post today because I feel bad not giving ya’ll enough to read for a while.)
