masc term likers imagine your f/o reading classics for whatever reason, maybe they just want to catch up on them or just found the book recently and found it interesting i don’t know. but as you’re trying not to disturb their reading session and wish them a quick good night, they just absentmindedly make a reference to one of their books saying “good night, sweet prince.” either with their usual tone of voice or in a silly fancy kind and it makes you freeze on the spot or makes you drop to your knees on the floor immediately, killing you

aaaaa thank you~! and yes, Avalon does end up okay!

It's a VERY uneven fight, all things considered. No-one's ever prepared to be jumped by a troll assassin, and Avalon at this point in time has had like. 0 magical training whatsoever. It's probably less of a fight and more of a 'using every cheap trick in the book to try and run away' scenario. It comes to a halt when Angor gets Avalon by the neck against a wall, and he is promptly bullrushed by Aaaarrrghhh to get Avalon free.

Avalon gets away with some scrapes and a sore throat, as well as a handy surprise alibi that keeps Jim and the rest of the Trollhunter gang from suspecting they're technically on the same side as Strickler and Angor (the villains). After some check-ins to make sure they're totally fine, not in need of a trip to Trollmarket for safety, they roll up at Strickler's door and give him the biggest verbal smackdown they can muster.

How do Angor Rot and Avalon meet? I can't remember if you've covered this in a fic or not before but I'm curious how they ended up crossing paths 👀

Angor and Avalon....don't meet on the kindest of circumstances.

Lil background for Angor, his soul was locked up in a ring by Morgana le Fay centuries ago, and that ring is held by a changeling called Strickler, who works for the Janus Order. Strickler wants to use Angor as his personal assassin and guard dog. The Order gets an inkling that maybe Strickler isn't all too keen on completing the organisation's true goal: returning Morgana to the world.

So, in an attempt to try and get control of the situation, the Janus Order send in Avalon. Mind you, Avalon is a novice sorcerer that the Order picked up/kidnapped with intention of turning them into a vessel but ultimately failed, so they're going in unwillingly but without any capability to escape the situation. All Strickler knows is that they're sent by the Janus Order to assist him in against the Trollhunter and he can sense the bullshit from a mile away so he plans to foist them straight onto Angor for mutual babysitting.

However...their actual first meeting involves Avalon arriving in Arcadia unaccompanied, Angor getting a whiff of magic that reminds him painfully of the sorceress who stole his soul and locked it in that ring in the first place, and promptly goes on a rage hunt on this random sorcerer who barely fights him off and needs a convenient rescue by the resident Trollhunter and his band.

Strickler is not amused by these events.

TLDR; Angor and Avalon first met in hand-to-hand combat with Angor trying to kill Avalon. this is a ritual he has continued with their lessons.

I want to reverse the role for my comfort character or f/o. I want to make them feel loved, special, and appreciated. I want to hold them close and tell them how much they mean to me. I want to spend time with them and allow them to open up and trust me. I want to support them when times get hard and celebrate with them when things are greater than they've ever been. I want to be my f/o's safe space, I want to show them true comfort and acceptance, because they deserve it.
