AHHHHH you are too kind ;w; I *DO* have a sona but they are still very much in the early drafts of how I want them to look. Drawing sona's/ Oc's is the hardest thing for me and I'm never satisfied but I really want to hopefully show you all her sooner rather than later ;w; !

Hello! Your art is really so so lovely! I’m an artist as well but I was wondering if you had any tips on how you do your lineart (I particularly love the brush), and the coloring! Is it cell shading? How do you do the shadows? The light?

For my lineart I usually take the longest on more so than coloring just cause I'm so picky about how it looks. I try to get my lineart pretty clean but for coloring I usually focus on 'shapes of shadows' and at the end I draw over everything to really get some chunky shadows and lines. I love my shadows and colors to have weight and I think going over everything at the end really helps that.

With Hazbin characters, they have some pretty great colors and honestly it has pushed me to try and think of shadows in different tones besides just a darker version of the base color. After having your base colors, on another layer put in your shadows and then just keep changing the color/value/hue of them and see what works!

How do you make your line art the way it is?

Lots of focus on strong lines with a bit of variety on thickness! Where I want some areas to feel more "heavy" I make sure the lines there are super bold.

Hey I love your art and how it's very stylised but feels 3D! So I was wondering if you had any tips on how to do line art and shading well as I find most tutorials on this stuff/effects don't really suit stylised works.

Oh yeah with Hazbin/Helluva I had a hard time trying to figure out how to draw the characters but I also don't limit myself to how I draw them, or try to at least. I feel like I am always changing how I draw them, some characters more than others.

The way I do it is after I finish the lineart I go ahead with my flat colors. Then add a second layer of lineart where I just make certain areas thicker/darker for where I want some weight and variation. The biggest thing for me is at the very end I paint on top of the drawing. Blocking out colors into definitive shapes.

Here is a small example of what I mean. After I finish the drawing I am always going back and adding on top of it. For colors I pick them from what the show has but then dull them down to a more muted tone and that helps with adding weight as well since it makes the bright tones I do use pop out even more.

I'm not the best at explaining stuff but here is just a bit of my chaotic process that I hope can explain some things at least ^^;; Let me know if there is anything more I can answer!
