The set includes two TV sets and creative records that would be perfect for your 80s and 90s sims. Feels a lot closer to the living room I grew up with. 

4t2 Basement Kit

You’ve probably seen this kit already - @nonsensical-pixels​ converted it some time ago. But here’s my take on it :)

You get all the items from the kit + a collection file and a few extras.

The decals were put on a Butterfly Crawler mesh and since some of them were meant for the floor, I also included my repositoried “rug” version of it (remove it if you had it already).

Standing mirrors were made with an extensive help from @lordcrumps​ who is a mirror magician 🥰, the one without frames is repo’d to the other.

Both TVs are functional, the smaller one keeps its broken feel 😉 

What else…um…the book shelf has slots (I cloned it from one by @hugelunatic​ from here), lamps function as lamps (duh), the pile of chairs and a trunk function as endtables, everything has all the original recolors, price and description. All meshes were smoothed out and no shiny surface was spotted  😎

@jacky93sims made functional versions of several @aroundthesims decorative phones. They have cords! Unfortunately, the cord won't stretch as your sim walks and talks on it, but it's perfect for decorating realistically. At least your sim won't have to stretch the cord as far as it'll go into the other room to get some privacy on the phone like I did. Lol.

Plaid was very popular in the 80s and 90s, especially with furniture and clothing. This set includes plaid sofas and a chair converted from Sims 4 and pajamas for AM and TM.

Instantly fell in love with these Sims 4 Hipster Hugger couch recolours by @softerhaze, so I converted the entire set that includes:

∴ the BG ts4 couch (1131 polys)

∴ loveseat (965 polys)

∴ chair (896 polys)

You NEED the couch for everything else to work because the loveseat and the chair’s textures are repositoried to the couch’s so they will occupy very little space in your game! 

Aaaaand plus a little extra since I’m obsessed with these plaid textures, I also recoloured the base game AM and TM pyjamas that you can see in the picture. They have 8 swatches and your simmies can match their favourite couch!

Reblogging as this set includes a functional turntable, which is nice for your 80s sims and the 90s sims who haven't switched to CDs and tapes yet.

Is there such a thing as too many conversions? Or a room that’s too messy? I dunno. But I had to fit all this stuff somewhere! My room sure as hell looked like this while I was a teen and thank god for that. Lol.

Anyway, today I bring you A BUNCH of Life Is Strange conversions! I’ve worked on these for days and thought I could share them all at once since all of the items somehow fit the same vibe.

Here is a 90s-appropriate desktop computer for your sims, converted 4t2 by @nonsensical-pixels. Such a great find! I love the sticky notes on it.

max20's old friend computer converted to ts2! [download - sfs]

finally went back and fulfilled a request from the simscord! it's max20's old friend converted for the sims 2 as a monique's hacked computer, so it has all of those advanced options! 💻

there's honestly not much else to say, it's just 626 polys and costs $340. has 2 recolorable subsets, one for the actual computer and one for the sticky notes (which can be made invisible).

i honestly think this would make a great replacement for the original maxis pc--so if anyone knows how to do it, please do! it'd be such a great update to it 😃

credits go to max20 for the incredible original ts4 creation, and to monique for the original hacked computer, which is required for this one to work!

80s-appropriate computer, anyone?

phew, almost forgot to queue a post for today! have another monique'd computer conversion: the electromagnetic research archive machine converted from ts4's discover university expansion pack to ts2 📖

once again it functions as a monique hacked computer and is just 228 polys. there are 3 swatches in total and you can find it under the electronics category for $1250 (the original ts4 computer was $12500, which is way too high for such a simple thing imo). the mouse is weird for whatever reason and the sim won't grasp it directly, but i think that's betterthan leaving it unanimated.

This 4t2 set includes a conversion of @aroundthesims' iBook, which looks just like the Apple G3 "Clamshell" iBook released in 1999. I previously shared a functional version of the iBook by Birgit43, but this is another laptop option for you to use.

Hi, y'all! While working on blog updates last night, I realized that Tumblr has changed the tagging structure and tags with hyphens no longer display in the search. The tagging system is the best way to navigate this blog and filter content so I'm working to find a solution.

So far, I've tried adding "&nbsp;" and "%20" in substitution of the hyphen, but those don't work either. If anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know as I continue to research!

I was CC shopping today and found this cooler made by Birgit43 on TSR. Instantly, Igloo's 80s/90s Cooler collection popped into my head. So you know I had to bring my idea to life! These are recolors of Birgit43's cooler. From right to left you have: White, Tearose, Purple, Watermelon, and Jade. Perfect for a cookout or a trip to Twikkii Island!

Another late 80s-early 90s gem!

Happy Saturday! I bring pastel lamps.

These are recolors of Raynuss' Chinese Peony Lamps. Since they aren't really around anymore, I couldn't really find anything on their TOU. So I apologize in advance if I'm breaking any rules Raynuss! Anyways, these are my favorite lamps ever. I have them all throughout my sim's house, and even have one in real life similar to the blue one. Hope you all enjoy! I was really excited to share these.
