people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does.

I hate the way "victim blaming" is now applied to any and all situations, this is a term used to describe things where you cannot possibly be at fault, obviously most often in connection to rape the point being made is that there is never a time when rape is justified or at all caused by the actions of the victim.

But people just whack it out for everything they think isn't their fault now, and it's like even if I agree that someone's objectively not at fault it's just an odd thing to say like "not only am I blameless but it is completely wrong to suggest I could have any influence over this aspect of my life" when there might be things you could do, all advice is just "victim blaming" I guess.

Why is it that we seem to have completely erradicated our understanding of what a transphobe beyond TERFs like I'm sorry but I'm just reading everyone's comments about the Labour party "going full TERF" like what these people are not, by literally anyone's definition, radical feminists. They're not even feminists and most of the people doing the most legwork in regards to this transphobia are men.

Its like, if anyone says anything negative about trans people but frames it as anything but religious objection it becomes TERFism rather than transphobia, how? Why? This is like Labours whole thing, do the same thing as the Tories but put a weird spin on it. They're also wrapping up most of their anti refugee stuff as anti human trafficking, like its to actually protect the refugees, same thing with trans people, this is not only not feminism but they're not even saying its feminism its all "think of the children (the 24 year old children)" its pretty bog standard in what WAY are they terfs...

And yes I do know its not the most important thing here but its just kinda aggravating me.

People in the notes are talking about how art can be resistance, but this isn't saying nothing but physical warfare is resistance, yes various forms of art can and have been done deliberately to resist an oppressive force, true but that does not make the concept of art just resistance in and of itself.

The problem here is self evident really "xyz is resistance" wouldn't need to be said if it actually was, poems or books or whatever inciting people to rebel don't make everyone go "art is resistance" because you can tell. If you keep having to remind people that what you're doing is resisting something then it probably isn't.
