Phaidros.
@leylinetrue
Phaidros was taking a lunch break at the moment. It was late, but he was pretty deep into tweaking this recent song of his so it flowed right.
Sooo, when he was mid water-bottle and saw a certain manager of his walk in, the rest if it is drained in a heartbeat and they go to essentially tackle him for fun.
Tumblr media
“Hey, Yammy! Day going well for ya?!” this is stated as Phaidros lightly tackles his manager, landing quickly just to make sure Yamato wouldn’t fall on his own face.
He may tease his manager, but he’s still friends with him. “If it ain’t, I got just the solution: some fresh tempura and Takoyaki– I know you adore those!”
As manager, his life is often full of planning how his employee’s day would be going, which left him very little time to relax. How a stuck up was able to be manager, much less director, of a music industry was a mystery to any ignorant mind; it’d been left in his family to watch over any rising stars so that they would take the crown by storm, and because of that it’s said that anyone produced under the Hotsuin Productions title would go far.
However, while nearly tossed over by the abrupt tackle, Yamato wondered if it’s not too late to change his mind on his recent choice. But, despite the childish attitude and low attention span, Phaidros had the makings of a star. In comparison to others, Phaidros would be closer to Yamato.
Tumblr media
“Hm,” Yamato hummed, as if he were thinking it over when his mind had already been made up. Nothing like his weakness for greasy foods. “Very well, while we’re discussing you’re recent works. Tell me, have you been practicing for your new song?”

Phecda the Septentrione.
A few more specters go shrieking past, and one with white hair gets the two stars to flinch. There goes Polaris.
“It should be safe to go now. The only real remaining threat is my own specter.”
Tumblr media
“They’re going to be tricky. That hardware store is though that alley below us to the right. I’ll lead, Yamato can be in the middle, and Benetnasche will make sure we are not jumped from behind, as I think you humans might put it.”
Plan stated, Phecda hops off the roof, using a mere half a second of their flight to stop their decent.
Tumblr media
“The human can’t fly, idiot.” “Well, just toss him down!” “Ghost.” “Possession.” “Che.”
With a sigh, Benet uses two rocks to lift Yamato by the collar of his coat, before casually dropping him off the edge of the building.
Phecda easily catches him, bridal style (hahah.) and places Yamato back on his feet. That done, the star starts silently padding towards the hardware store.
With the ongoing shrieking, Yamato stared at the gathering group of specters, keeping note of which it would be that made the stars react such as they had. Specters were a noisy bunch. While it meant it made that much easier to keep track of them, it meant nothing if they caught sight of you -- which had been Yamato’s original mistake.
Tumblr media
The two did have a tendency to speak as if he weren’t there, along with making decisions. How it went, by following the chief’s former belief, is if you had the power  make the decisions, and Yamato’s suddenly having every comment he’s ever made returned onto himself.
          How’s that for irony?
“I’m able figure it out myself,” Yamato said firmly only to end up ignored, lifted up by the collar but not without him sending a death glare towards Benetnasch. His ire towards that particular Star is short lived however, though it would swap instead towards Phecda once the other had caught him in his hold. It cuts the travel time, but loses points from presentation; and away he goes to follow to find first some bandages to cover himself up.

Phecda the Septentrione.
“Hahh, so that is standard for those from our universe sent here. Bother.” Phecda sighs, before casually kicking a determined shambler in the head, sending it tumbling back to the ground below.
“I have access to one demon, but only for a stretch of ten minutes and three uses of one spell.” They’re not going to mention the summoning limit. “Such a short time and limited spell usage renders summoning them pointless unless it is an actual dire emergency.”
Phecda pauses again, thinking. “If those undead injured you, you should take care of those injuries quickly. It seems their bites and scratches are highly infectious. Neither of us have healing spells available to us at this point in time.”
Tumblr media
“And that is good, and acceptable, regarding the ceasefire. After this is over I shall enjoy resuming trying to, as humans might put it, ‘Sucker-punch’ you. We should all move somewhere safer first, though. A rooftop is decent against shamblers, but not against spirits.”
Tumblr media
“Doubly so. I saw Her not long ago, looking quite enraged. We may be temporary instances, but I still don’t want to fight Her.”
“Perhaps that hardware store I saw a while ago might be a good place to lurk. True, there is no food, but there should be water for your human body and something to weaponize.”
For the humans who favored using the demon summoning app, it is devastating to have their demons taken away -- along with it, the capability to use their skills. Yamato became no more than someone who can pack a punch at the very least. Weak, but helpful. How helpful it is that the Stars would tell him as well what they were capable of.
Tumblr media
He’s been taken a chunk out for sure, with his longcoat torn, along with several aches and pains that would linger for longer. A good Diarahan would do the job instantly; unfortunately none of them had the skill. Instead he’d have to find some painkillers and bandages to take care of it. For now, he simply nods, nothing to say against the Star’s idea.
“I’m aware of your disdain for me,” Yamato voices, unperturbed to any ire he may receive. Phecda would certainly not be the first time Yamato’s heard venomous words sent his way. “You voice it everyday that I could tell the time of the day by your tone alone.”
He’s not going to ask about what they meant by ‘Her.’ The context alone is giving him plenty of clues, and sure enough, at his level, he’s not wanting to run headfirst into that without a serious plan.
“Very well. Let’s make haste, the moment there’s an opening to head that way.”

Phecda the Septentrione.
Tumblr media
“For once, yes, I do have nothing better to do. For once you say something wise!” Phecda sits on the edge of the roof, and smirks down at Yamato.
“Besides, you are out of a job, and on a timer as you have to eat to continue your existence. I do not, so I figured I might as well make your search more of a trial.”
With that stated, they pick up another honey-filled balloon and lobs it at their rival.
“If nothing else, this is the most interesting thing I’ve had to do in weeks. Far more exciting than street performances to sustain my like of the food your species calls ‘junk foods’.”
“I would say that’s more often than ‘once,’” Yamato returns, calling back to all their previous encounters. If you told him Phecda had a job, Yamato would find it difficult to believe; all the Star had for motivation in the city is to spite Yamato.
Tumblr media
“Your continued existence is the trial.” One day, Phecda, one day. Though they had their truce for Halloween, a harsh reminder for Yamato, who failed to prepare for the onslaught of spectres. Pathetic, he thinks, to have to depend on his mortal enemy.
Sidesteps easily at the next balloon, not having taken his eyes off of where the Star sat. The balloon would reach the ground and pop instantly, covering the ground in sticky sweetness. Who knows how long Phecda took to fill up balloons with honey, only to be a minor annoyance.
And the Star is addicted to junk foods; if only it’s someone else for Yamato to connect to. “And so you put on little shows to entertain, incapable of doing much else,” Yamato responds, wanting to leave it there.

Phecda the Septenrione.

Tumblr media
Target spotted… target lightly followed– duck behind that billboard on the roof for a second….
There, target distracted by something. Phecda draws their arm back and lets fly a water balloon– a water balloon full of honey. If it doesn’t give the man a concussion, it’ll leave him sticky.
Phecda’s not doing a good job of hiding on a roof while observing the path of their projectile. The top of their head is clearly visible.
Look who’s jobless. Meandering about Archimedes became dull quickly when he’d already been used to traveling through it when he’d had a job, now without a title of his own, he’d come to killing time until hearing for an answer on his status.
The unfortunate sign from the heavens came from a balloon meeting the top of his head. To add to that, it dripped slowly...stickily, down his neck, and with a murderous expression Yamato slowly raised his gaze above him to find the perpetrator.
Tumblr media
If looks could kill, the star would certainly be dead. “Nothing better to do with your existence than to act on immature pranks?” It’s going to take plenty of hot water to get this mess out of his hair.

???.
@leylinetrue
Panting, Mitsuki skids to a stop to catch his breath. Usually his stamina was excellent, but he must’ve just been running nonstop from those shamblers and spectres. Mitsuki personally has nothing he could do to fend them off, rendered useless on the island without any special abilities like others. Although annoyed at his own incompetence, he’s started to run in hopes of staying alive. He has people to live for!
Tumblr media
When he tosses his head back up to quickly watch if there’s anymore that have caught up to him, he spots a younger (but taller) boy standing still at the corner. Squinting at the fact he’s staying stationary in the middle of this apocalyptic happening, Mitsuki walks right over and opens his mouth. “Hey, you shouldn’t just be standing here. It’s dangerous!”
Yamato barely casts a glance out to the voice that called out towards him, watching the outbreak for any signs of weaknesses or opening, casted towards using his eyes to be the judge rather than anything special. “I am aware of that,” he replies, voice deep, as to answer to the obvious. “Which is why a civilian like yourself should be running out towards one of the safety rooms.”
Tumblr media
Despite how it looks, Yamato still has a job to do; which means he can’t allow himself to be the first that runs away; even at the cost of his life.

Phecda the Septentrione.
Tumblr media
“Then don’t think my current incorporeal and deceased state will prevent me from possessing that pile of nearby live power wires and choking you with them.”
Tumblr media
“An odd threat coming from you, Benet. Would not threatening to pacify him be more effective?” “I’m dead and sealed in my powers, Phecda. The only Human Pacifying I can do is maybe making them sluggish for a few minutes.” “Do you see why I hate this place?” “….”
“Anyways, Yamato–” Here Phecda turns to the human. “–What are your plans now? Both of us are… quite helpless, aside from a few tricks we can use. Well, I can use. I am not sure if you would be able to snap one of these malevolent spirits out of it using your JP’s methods.”
The star smirks slightly. “I would dare say we might be forced to cooperate until this zombie onslaught ends. I have no interest in learning what being a walking corpse feels like, and it would be a shame to loose you to something so weak when you’re still amusing to watch. Might I propose a temporary cease-fire?”
Fun, Yamato thought bitterly, that it would be Benetnasch here to witness him at his lowest point. He doesn’t think about the possibility that Polaris could be summoned as well, because there’s not enough wood in the world to knock on to balance that out.
Tumblr media
He’s hardly disturbed by the threat -- if the Star wanted to end it right there and now, then there’s not a thing Yamato could say that would stop them, though he would turn towards Phecda when the other would call out his name. Anyone knowing the both of them would know that the two of them were not on friendly terms, and hardly would they refer to each other so casually, and Yamato would come to realize that the other is speaking seriously and stays silent to listen.
“So far, they’ve managed to not only take away my demons,” Yamato admitted, lifting his phone out, “but managed to seal away being able to bid for another.” It’s not so much that Yamato would want his demons back, but in this case, to be able to summon any would be a massive help; yet they took away that as well. Alcor’s app is meandered useless, just like that.
The cease-fire would be a massive gain to himself, if at the cost on having to work together with the Septentriones, and his past self would certainly laugh at the thought! “I would say that you prefer it being that you’re the one that kills me here first instead of allowing anything weaker than you to do so.” Not as if he’s forgotten his life’s purpose either. “Fine, I will work with you -- only for the remainder that this outbreak lasts.”

Phecda the Septentrione.
@leylinetrue
Interesting, it seems that in this reduced state of power, Yamato was swiftly becoming overwhelmed by various undead corpses.
Phecda tilts their head down at him, the controlled gheist at their side huffing.
“Are you really contemplating saving him, sibling?” “Well, think on it, Benet. If we safe him, his belief in merit might mean he will begrudgingly owe me a favor after all this is over. Realize that I will also owe you, if you remember this, when I get out of here, as I am also limited.” “It’s not like I’m much better, Phecda.” “Ah, but you can use magics, even of the weakest tier.” “Fine, fine. But you get to take my monitoring duties for a decade.” “A deal.”
Yamato may soon find the hordes of corpses bursting into flame around him, via the use of a familiar, if weak, spell. Maragi.
Tumblr media
“Up here, coward of Merit. I’m not going to offer you a hand up to the roofs for long!”  Phecda is hanging by their knees off of an open windowsill, extending a hand towards the human.
Tumblr media
A translucent humanoid also floats nearby, looking quite apathetic as they keep casting the occasional Maragi to keep the shamblers away from Yamato. “I don’t have all the mana in the world, even as a quantum ghost. Don’t waste our time.”
Slowly and shamefully, Hotsuin Yamato had been outmatched.
Left with only his phone, no demons, not even a single spell, he’d been left to use his wits to make it through the cataclysm after the celebration came to an end. Whatever buzz Yamato had gained was quickly sobered up during this, having to focus on making it out, since his mere attacks did little to decrease their numbers, if not trapping the shamblers. Yet that did little to help, eventually he is tossed to the ground, and they grabbed and scratched at his appendages, and he would think as he fought back, what a pathetic end...
Their gruesome groans echoed in the air when they suddenly lit on fire, which Yamato recognized as maragi. Using the last of his strength, he pushed off the zombies from on top of him as the fire spread further and further, waiting for an answer; unfortunately it would come from the least favored, if surprising, voice of all.
Tumblr media
Oh, he should’ve fallen off a tower when he had the chance, to save what little pride Yamato had left. The Star is really out here saving the sole person he hated the most; is the city softening the other to that extent? “Hm, if I didn’t know better, I would think you waited until I was on the ground to offer help,” Yamato replied, knowing by now of the alien’s sadistic streak. To be left to die pathetically, or accept the help that he knew he would have to make up in some way... There’s plenty more that he would to do as bureau chief, and naturally to solve anything meant to not die. With a hiss, Yamato raised his hand to accept the offer, if begrudgingly.
Once his feet is on safer ground, Yamato studies the transparent form of Benetnasch, thought he is unaware of which alien it is for now. “How quaint, another Septentrione. Don’t think that saving me would keep me from my goal.”

“Reporting for duty, sir. Festivities been quiet so far, I hope?”
@portalante :\\ NIGHT 2
There were loud cheers as another group gathered together for drinks, laughter coming from all around as confetti fell from the sky for the second night. Multiple scents wafted through the air, tantalizing the taste buds, as meals were pulled around the tables. All in all, it’s very boisterous and nothing that Yamato is familiar with.
Tumblr media
“Nothing out of the ordinary, for now,” he would respond to Rogue, both standing ways from the festival. “I overheard that there’s a possibility of things going awry, but it appears that matter was unfounded.”
The meteor issue had been a minor nuisance at best, as the festival would continue on without delay into the second night. Perhaps for the best.
“If you wish to join in, you may do so, Officer,” Yamato said, crossing his arms without a change in expression. “You could do for some rest of your own.”
