I was planning to take a small social media break but I saw the amazing headcanon that Argyle and Billy might have been friends in California! It such a sweet idea that I just had to draw something with that :) There’s something so special about childhood friendships and having seen someone through everything including growth spurts and the preteen awkward phase! And in a scenario where Billy lived, seeing that pizza van would be like some sort of miracle after everything he’s endured.

"I'm not gay," Billy says when Steve kisses him for the first time and he's breaking into pieces, because he feels like he's melting.

Steve laughs against his skin. "Okay."

"I'm not a fucking queer," Billy insists when Steve is peppering his face with kisses and he doesn't want him to stop.

Steve gives him a wet smooch on the cheek. "Okay."

"I'm not a faggot," Billy gasps when Steve is deep inside him, thrusting slowly and stroking his skin like he's worth something.

Steve cups his cheeks. "Okay."

"I'm not like that," Billy says when Steve sucks on his bottom lip and Billy is a star, shining bright in the dark of the night.

Steve stops and stares at him. "Like what?" he asks, voice low.

"Wrong," Billy whispers, all of his father's words in his mind trying to turn the world dark.

"Does it feel wrong?" Steve's nose bumps against his. "Do you want this to stop?"

Nothing ever felt so right. Steve is the center of Billy's universe. His father's mouth spreads hate, Steve's brings... love?

"No," he admits. "I never wanna stop."

A smile lights up Steve's face, a shooting star - maybe Billy can make a wish. "Then let's never stop."

Billy kisses him. "Maybe I am a little gay for you."

The word doesn't hurt. Steve laughs. "I hope so."
