not nearly enough people are fuming about the cass review. do you understand the eventual implications? trans people in the uk will be considered children up until the age of 25, and denied HRT/surgery/even basic measures like legal name change and social transition. all owing to a biased and largely unscientific study. you know what “treatment” for gender dysphoria is recommended by the review instead? conversion therapy.

this will kill people and they know it, because they prefer us dead and out of sight. the government, the NHS and even the opposition have made this clear again and again. a twenty-five year old can have sex, get married have children, join the military, earn a living, be halfway up the corporate ladder or highly successful in their chosen career field by that age, but they can’t transition under NHS rules. this is a death sentence for trans teenagers and they are going ahead with it. it’s trans genocide, same as across the pond.

i’m so afraid for my trans siblings and our futures. i’m so scared for myself. what are we to do if not even the party that is supposed to be on the “left” gives a shit about our safety and mental health as long as they get voted in? labour have become tories with a red coat of paint. it all feels hopeless

Question for Cross Stitchers: Part 2

Probably should have just said this the first time but I'm trying to make images like this:

Sometimes from pics I find off the webs and sometimes from ones I take myself. Is there a way I should prep/take the picture to get better results? I know it will still require some clean-up after the fact but I'm not even getting close with my tests.

Two weeks sick now. Two weeks now my inner ears are clogged. I'm on a second round of antibiotika and no improvement in sight. Can't hear well. Can't wear headphones or earbuds. Can't concentrate or do stuff, much less leave the house. Barely any sleep. I live of chocolate, water and iboprofen.

But hey, at least I lost some weight. /s

Four days later. Ear still blocked. Still very annoyed. Been to the doctor's twice, they say nothing to be done. Antibiotika is not working, nose drops are not working. So many amazing medical technology, but there's nothing you can do when your inner ear is clogged, but wait and see.

Having an otitis for the first time in my life. Been a terrible 10 days so far. I'm tempted to just jam something in my ear and open the blockage. Being sick is so fucking annoying!

Historically same goes for craftspeople in europe. You didn't have a craftsman and his wife, you'd have two craftspeople running the shop together. That only one of them was allowed in the guild didn't mean they were the only one capable of doing the craft.

Also guilds were perfectly happy to let women do the jobs they didn't like, even tolerating women's guilds. Until that specific craft became profitable of course.
