I got one of the electroforming baths up and running over the weekend (and plated an entire piece).

Unfortunately, I didn't have anything fully ready to go after that (I thought I did), so I'm just now getting another piece going. I should have time to finish both of the new pieces in time for the event on Saturday... 🤞

Adding a cut, because photos are large.

I started off my adventures at I Want Seconds, a plus-size thrift shop at 32nd & Hawthorne. I may have been coveting these Bowie earrings for a while... 😏

Then I went to the Gold Door, which has been a favorite for years. Once I saw the price on this guy (aka that they were affordable), it was all over.

They may end up next to Frida on the wall. Frida was my big gift from my mom the other day.

I accidentally "tripped" and found myself in Powell's. At least I didn't buy any books?! I've also had my eye on this mug for ages. (No, I don't need more mugs, but ask me if I give a shit. 🙃)

And finally, I ended my wander at Fat Straw with a mango & passion fruit bubbles tea, a tuna banh mi, and some reading time. 💜

It was a good day. 🥰

If you ever need a quick & easy vegan meal to make, this is now my go-to for feeding Cute Girlfriend when I have nothing planned. (Though it helps to have a pantry stocked with some Asian food basics - sesame seeds, soy sauce, sesame oil, etc.)

My personal updates to the recipe are:

double the amount of sauce you make

simmer the tempeh for more like 10 minutes (I want to try simmering it in broth)

cook the broccoli (and any other veg you want to add) first, then set aside

once the tempeh is cooked, add the broccoli back in and carefully toss everything with the sauce

3. I about exploded when I realized "Tiffany Aching's Guide To Being A Witch" existed! I still need to read the books featuring her, but I'm HERE for anything featuring Pratchett witches. 💜💜💜

4. My friend is the author and gifted me a copy of her latest work.

My oomph is definitely starting to fade, but I don't always notice as much as today?

I took my meds around 2 pm, then napped until 3:15 pm or so (so they had time to kick in). It's now 7:50 pm, about 6 hours later.

Though I actually LOVE that the strap fits inside the pouch - it means it's easier to store in my purse and won't get tangled up around things like my keys or water bottle.
