FINAL PIECE
My final project end up somewhat different from what I have planned. Due the difficult times that we are going through I had to change my initial project because I could not get the materials I needed to finish the clothes and intended to make. As a result I was forced to work with the raw material left from the work I have done for the core of my project, which is latex. After a little research and inspired by the fact that I have been offered to enter the Cordwainers, fashion bags and accessories at UAL. I abandoned the initial idea completely and decided to make a fashion bag instead of an outfit. I order to benefit from what I had done and learned so far, I decided to use the latex tests that I did for the core of the project to make a latex bag.
Of course, making a bag is not easy but to my own surprise I saw myself a lot in this project and I loved it. Like in the building of a house, when you make a bag you have to create walls to support the whole structure, something very challenging when you are working whit latex. At the beginning it was very difficult for me but in the end everything worked out and I have learned a lot and loved having explored this side of me that I didn't even know that I had. I fact I was so pleased with the result that I have decided to enter the Cordwainers, fashion bags and accessories course at UAL!

VISIT TO SPAIN ( Madrid )
I had the pleasure to visit One of the most important museums in Europe and worldwide. The collection includes sculptures, drawings, and famous paintings from artist like Velazquez, Goya, and Bosch, just to name a few. Dont miss, perhaps the collection’s most famous painting, Velazquez’s “Las Meninas,” showing princess Margarita and her two “Maids” as well as the artist himself with paintbrush and palette in hand. What’s more, Prado has the largest and most valuable collection of Spanish paintings in the world!
Due to the fact that I am not allowed to take photos. I don’t have many, but it was a great opportunity for me to closely observe works of art that I studied in the past and gave me great inspiration and learning

VISIT TO ROME
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On my visit to Rome I observed the ancient art and peculiar culture of a beautiful country with a lot to teach, of course this was all done before the unfortunate arrival of the COVID-19
Rome is a treasure chest full of cultural gems! From Roman wonders to colorful symbolistic graffiti, underground galleries and more. Uncover the authentic side of Rome on an arts.
Arts and Culture in Rome
Rome as the stronghold of art history
Prominent buildings and art can be seen in Rome at all corners and ends. Even in ancient times, Rome was the centre of a world empire and therefore has many unusual art treasures. It is to the strong position of the Church and the Vatican, which were for centuries among the strongest supporters and customers of art, that the city of Rome today owes a considerable part of its artistic diversity. No wonder art lovers and those who are interested will find a true paradise with an abundance of art treasures in Rome.

HISTORY OF ARMANI
Emporio Armani was founded in 1975 by Giorgio Armani, fashions most influential and celebrated fashion designer from Italy. Armani provides quality, sophisticated and timeless style clothing ranging from luxury garments, apparel, jewellery and aftershaves. The company describes themselves as “providing quality, sophistication and style-timeless values with global appeal.”
Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza, Italy and broke into the fashion industry in the sixties after a brief time in the military service. Giorgio launched his career as window dresser and in 1964, with an in-depth knowledge of fabric and design he was taken on as a designer for men’s clothing company, Hitman. In 1975, Armani left and designed his own menswear label and then a year later a womenswear collection. The Italian designer transformed the wardrobes of professional women in the 1980s, taking them out of floral skirts and putting them into chic, deconstructed pantsuits in elegant colours.
By the end of the 1990s the brand had over 200 stores worldwide, selling his other fashion lines: Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Armani Jeans, Armani Exchange A/X, Armani Collezioni with annual sales of $2 billion. Armani continued to expand his brand with new make-up ranges; home goods, book publishing and sports wear line, EA7 Emporio Armani in collaboration with Reebok. In 2005, Armani debuted his first haute couture line, Armani Prive and launched the venture because he was known to like a challenge.

Design career
After completing his military service, Armani dropped out of university and went to work at La Rinascente, a famous Milan department store. He then joined the staff of Nino Cerruti as a designer. With the encouragement of his friend Sergio Galeotti, Armani started to do freelance design work for other companies as well.
Armani and Galeotti became business partners, founding Giorgio Armani S.p.A. in July 1975. The company's first collection — a men's clothing line — debuted that year. Armani launched a women's collection the following year, which received a warm reception. His clothes were revolutionary at the time, introducing a more natural fit and using a subtle color palette. "My vision was clear: I believed in getting rid of the artifice of clothing. I believed in neutral colors," he later told WWD.
Giorgio Armani behind costumes for upcoming Lady Gaga tour
Giorgio Armani has been working with Lady Gaga since the 2010 Grammy Awards, when the signer wore a cosmos-inspired dress featuring fluorescent tube lighting, designed especially for her by the Italian designer. Since then, Giorgio Armani has gone on to design costumes for the Alejandro video and Monster Ball Tour and it now looks like the collaboration has gone so well that Lady Gaga has chosen the label to create the wardrobe for her Born This Way Ball tour in Asia. The result is, as expected, extravagant, with four extreme costumes that bring together couture expertise with very un-couture materials like latex, metal, studs and PVC. A transparent Plexiglas body, futurist hat, outsized epaulettes covered in pointy studs and latex tunics will all feature on-stage during the Born This Wall Ball, which gets underway in Seoul, April 27, 2012.

First you have to find a good place to let down the latex, then you have to shake the latex as longs as you can to set right for bubbles, when you done with this step you can drop the latex on your chosen place. After 24h the latex will be ready to be remove from the surface, it’s really important to add baby powder when you are removing the latex because is a material really sticky.
If you like to make colourful latex, you just need to add “LIQUITEX” ( soft body )
I do really like the mirror like a place to let down the latex. But be careful to don’t live the latex in a open area because it’s a sticky material and get all the dirty things from the air.

After a lot of research about latex and how it’s used in the fashion industry, specially as a fabric, I’m really fascinating in working with latex and I fell that I can really use to express my ideas.
My goal for this project had changed because 3/4 of the projec I can’t resolve without a big area and the right equipments, but I'm doing everything I can to show my project through the internet.
For my FMP the most important is to be able to express myself into my creation and shows to everyone that látex is more than what you see on the internet, my ideia is to creat a fashion custom for shows, because latex is not a very comfortable material that why have to be use in special occasions.
Latex is a stable dispersion ( emulsion ) of polymer microparticles in an aqueous medium. It is found in mature, although synthetic latexes can be a made by polymetizing a monomer such as styrene that has been emulsified with surfactants.
