y/n and belle had always been like two petals of the same flower, inseparable since they first met as trainee's. their love quickly yet quietly blossomed more and more everyday since they had met.

belle was the high-spirited one, her laughter echoing through the dorms like a happy melody. y/n, on the other hand, was more on the calm and quiet side. she was the calm to belle's storm, her presence soothing belle's high-spirit's when became too much to handle.

when together, the girls painted their love everywhere they went, with intertwined hands as they walked the streets of seoul.

their days were always filled with joy—late night walks by the han river and secret kisses under a lamppost. with each passing moment, their love grew stronger, as if they had always been destined to be together,

but unfortunately, it seemed like fate had other plans for them.

y/n had fallen horribly ill, her eyes that were once vibrant began to slowly lose their spark as the days progressed and her condition worsened.

the doctor's diagnosed y/n with stage 3 of emphysema. when left the doctor's office, she broke down in her car as she went over the symptoms of her disease.

belle refused to leave her side, and tended to her girlfriend's every need. she whispered promises of forever, and prayed that their love for each other would change the fate that they had coming.

despite belle's efforts, y/n's condition worsened and the girl wasn't able to leave the dorm or help with any chores like she used to. her flare-ups became more frequent, breath shortened and coughing worsened as the days went by.

belle's heart clenched in pain every time she had to see her girl go through one of the symptoms. she'd cry at night when y/n was sound asleep, prayed that things will change. that they'll get the life they planned together and that they'll get to be happy and in love for eternity.

with a heavy heart and tear-stained cheeks, belle lied down next to y/n on their bed, and gently placed her hand on her girlfriend's cheek, emitting a tired smile from the latter.

the blonde sniffled and gave y/n a teary smile.

“i love you, so much.”

y/n hummed, and slowly closed her eyes.

“i love you more, bells.”

belle let the tears stream down her face and bit back a sob as she watched her girlfriend take her last breath. the world seemed to freeze as the blonde's world began to shatter into pieces.

the day after y/n's funeral, belle wandered around the streets that her and y/n would always walk, her every step haunting her with the memories she once shared with her eternal love.

as time went by, belle knew she would never be the same. she knew she'd never be the same she was with y/n. she knew she'd never feel a love as strong as she once had. her heart constantly ached over a wound that would never heal.

belle carried y/n's memory like a bittersweet melody, a forever reminder of their love so pure it went beyond even death itself.

and though their time was short, belle found comfort in knowing that somewhere, in a different universe, their love would live on, eternal and unwavering.
