Husband is back in hospital so my Mum came over to chat and help take my mind off things.
Which she did, spectacularly, by giving me a brilliant lecture on cross-dressing, misogynistic serial killers of the past, and how their actions changed criminal fiction entirely. (And how female writers are vilified for using this character trope, and male writers are not, or at least not to the same extent)

Remember, the most important thing when seeking help for your sexual assault is that people can’t *like* the way you were sexually assaulted.

How you gonna make a post thiiiiis close to what radfems and terfs say every day and then DNI them?
I find it really upsetting when leftists sexualize Abby Shapiro for having big boobs. Like Vaush going on about how she should show off her cleavage on twitch for money or how Xanderhal kept going on about her "milkers" in his streams about her. Like she's a judgemental self righteous douche* but she makes it a point that she does not want to be sexualized, so antagonistically mocking her and pushing that boundary just to spite her is incredibly misogynistic. Because what's funny about it? The joke is just "LMAO woman doesn't like being sexualized and I'm doing it anyways!!XD" it just cements the fact that a lot of left wing people only care about progressive values so long as they can weaponize it. It's just really fucking disheartening. Just because a woman is conservative does not give you a free pass to sexually harass and objectify her. Focus on her shitty politics, not her body.

People get so defensive over porn/bdsm/prostitution/surrogacy/exploiting women's bodies and their argument is always "she consented to it". They never think about the "consumer", or the type of person who would benefit from such a thing in these scenarios.
If a man wanted to slap his girlfriend and she was fine with it, you shouldn't just turn a blind eye and go "well she agreed to it", you should be asking why he would want to do such a thing in the first place. Even if she agreed to it, it doesn't make him any less worse of a person.
With bdsm, the question is "why does he get off on hurting a woman?" "Why does a woman in pain turn him on?" "Why would he willingly beat her?"
With surrogacy, it's "why would someone put a woman through the pain of pregnancy and childbirth, risk her getting pre-eclampsia, a perineal rupture, a prolapsed uterus, post partum depression, and dying just for a biological child, one who isn't even hers?" "So it's ok for you to not want those 'unsightly' stretch marks and scars, but you're fine pushing them onto another woman?" "Why is it ok to take advantage of a woman in poverty, where it isn't even a choice at that point?"
With prostitution, it's "why does he want a woman who won't say no to him or his abusive fantasies, a woman whose pleasure and comfort he doesn't have to care about?" "Why is it ok to make a woman have sex she doesn't want, ok to punch/slap/choke her just because he paid for it?"
With porn, its "why do you enjoy seeing a woman being raped/beaten/degraded, even if it is "simulated"?" (Rape or "forced" is one of the most common porn categories) "These are still real women, why is it so easy for you to dehumanize them for a fantasy?"

Like I honestly don't care if a woman and a man have a sexual relationship. But no matter the surgeries, hormones, inner feelings - it's not a lesbian relationship. They don't need my consent to have sex. But they do need everyone to agree to totally erase the meaning of homosexuality - and I won't go along with that.

i really hate that for some reason being against surrogacy is considered homophobic in most spaces. everytime i see an anti-surrogacy post there has to be those comments like "what about gay people 🥺 how will they have kids 🥺"
they can fucking adopt?? how dare you think someone is entitled to purchase a womb just because of their inability to have children? pro-surrogacy people are ridiculous, they can barely be reasoned with.

Well, I would agree from my own research and conclusions, but the issue is that most men are arguing "is it correlation or causation" and will therefore only accept evidence from something like a blind parallel study, which would be totally impossible, and even if it was possible, it would be extremely unethical.
And to be blunt, even if we made it possible, ignored the ethics and did the study anyway, men wouldn't accept the findings because it would go against what they want.
Remember there is a *huge* difference between the argument "Media will make you violent" and "Media you consume can have an effect on your actions and outlook"
We know that things like right-wing TV or misogynistic podcasts have an effect on the end user over time, even if it may be slight or totally subconscious.
We understand that people can be radicalised by an echo chamber or algorithm. This does not mean it will work on everyone, or that it will work to the same extent!
If a person has a strong understanding of the forces in play, they can reject the information based on their own experiences or beliefs. But younger people are more likely to not have that experience, and are therefore more susceptible to the effects. So when we are discussing children as young as 9 accessing violent pornography, you have to consider that is their only exposure to sex. They have no experience or knowledge that it is wrong or harmful. They cannot reject it easily.
And when you add in the extreme hormone dump from orgasm, that is very, very easy way to train a mental pathway for life.
"Pornography will not suddenly make you a violent sexual criminal!" But it will reinforce pre-concieved notions, it will create a notion where there is a lack of understanding, and it will change your perceptions over time. Especially if it is violent, coercive, and misogynistic.

solving or at least trying to prevent sexual assault is never going anywhere unless we address illegals. its an epidemic in every major country
Firstly:
Not every country in the world is America. This is a very important fact.
Secondly:
The problem is men. I live in a country surrounded by an ocean, we have very little problems with illegal immigrants, and a huge problem with domestic violence and sexual assault.
The problem is males. The problem is their misogyny and entitlement.
