Planning for the next page! Was stressing myself out when I was trying to decide if I should do a fight/confrontation scene with Miri and Lucifer and how to lay it out, esp since the last page took about 40ish thumbnails to figure out how I wanted to do it, and this one started off that way, but then I just had a thought of Mammon showing up rather than a big dramatic save that I don;t have to pose and lay out.

Eased my mind so much when I decided that.

So, I've got about 5 pages done at this point. Might be shooting for at least 10, maybe. We shall see.

Decided to try watercolor as a base instead of copic ink (bc expensive) . The paper did not like that and the brush agreed, giving me the textured strokes in the two panels to the right.

Still going good tho, I think

Finally finished my art summary of 2023!

"So, this is where you've been hiding, Miriam."

Miri, shivering still despite the blanket around her shoulders, soon felt the heavy weight of a familiar black coat on her head, seeing the grey fur collar out of her peripheral vision. She looked up in surprise, recognizing this overcoat anywhere.

"Lucifer!" she exclaimed as he crossed his arms, smirking at her.

"But, you just woke up!" Miri continued. "You should be resting in bed! You should be-!"

She stopped as a small sneeze overtook her, stopping her worried spiel. Lucifer replaced his coat over her head, frowning at seeing how much was shivering again.

"Well, one of us should be resting in bed, but I don't think it should be me."

Had wanted to write a lil something for Nightbringer Lesson 38, but I had already promised myself that I was done writing for this year, so I decided to draw out the scene I wanted instead when I realized I didn't have anything for my year end art summary for December, thus the idea for this little comic.

Plus, I was also trying to use up an old sketchbook I found on my shelf that wasn't finished, but it had not so thick paper that I like using markers on, thus why this one is done with completely with colored pencils!

Had a great time making all the art I did this year. I'm proud of the progress I made this year!

Next post after this will be my 2023 Art Summary!
