30 Days of Character Building

1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

2.) What are your characters most prominent physical feature

3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?   4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?   5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?   6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.   7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?

8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

9.)  Who does your character trust?   10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.   11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?   12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?

13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?   14.)  How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?   15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?   16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?   17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?   18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)   19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?   20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?   21.) What would your character’s  cutie mark be?   22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?   23.) Is your character superstitious?   24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?   25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?   26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.   27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.   28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?   29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?   30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

I'm wondering if I make my Kris mean enough.

I know I haven't done much with him here, but I wanna play him like he's a little bit of a dick sometimes and I dunno?

He definitely doesn't know how to make friends, snaps at people if he's in a bad mood and refuses to apologize for it unless it gets too serious, and he's definitely a fucking asshole to his Player (not that she doesn't deserve it given the information he has on her).

I dunno. I sort of want the chance to show off how much of an asshole he can be.

headcanons

Here are a buncha headcanons for how my Kris/Player works! I’m also putting them up in https://kriscrxssed.tumblr.com/hc so they’ll be easy to access!

KRIS.

- Kris was adopted when they were 5 and they have absolutely no recollection of anything from their human family. Doctors have insisted this degree of childhood amnesia is normal, but they personally find it strange that their very first memory is of seeing Asriel for the first time.

- Kris knows they’re being controlled and they tell no one. While their “other half” tends to do it’s best to act as similar to Kris as possible when around friends and family, several people have noticed that they have “off days”. Asriel is the only person to have decided that this isn’t his sibling.

- Kris cannot play the piano despite their mother putting them and their brother through lessons as a child. Their player can.

- Fencing is something they've loved for many years. Asriel gave up when Kris surpassed him in skill.

- Kris will avoid speaking verbally whenever possible due to hating the sound of their own voice. They worry they sound too feminine.

- They’re fairly stone faced and minimal effort in a lot of what they do, but they’ve always had a soft spot for Noelle.

- Kris is three years younger than Asriel.

- They are rather smart and could get good grades if they want to. This is evident by the fact that they never actually fail class despite not doing most of the work. They know Toriel would murder them if they failed a class, so they make sure to get slightly above average grades with minimal effort. It drives Alphys up a wall. Berdly has no idea.

- Kris wears a hoodie and very frequently pulls the drawstrings on their face when they’re embarrassed. Or want to take a nap in the library while “studying”.

- Asriel has a car and has let Kris drive this car since he got his license. Toriel is never allowed to know this.

- Kris is distraught knowing they can’t die. It’s not fair that they’re functionally immortal while everyone else they know don’t have this power.

- Kris doesn’t always black out when they lose control, but it is more often than not.

- They have ADHD and depression.

- Kris wears their “monster horns” every Halloween, even if it doesn’t go with their costume. Halloween is their favourite day of the year by far.

- Kris used to idolize knights when they were a kid, taking on the role of the knight while Asriel took toe role of a prince when they’d play as children. This kind of fucks with them now.

PLAYER.

- She has been with Kris their whole life. Including the five years they don’t remember.

- A dead giveaway that they aren’t who they say they are is how much she talks.

- She has no intention to actually cause permanent harm. She simply takes joy in the idea of getting stronger.

- She responds to Angelica or Angel, though no one has called her that in many years. Because of this, she also gets a kick out of Kris calling her a “demon”.

- She took over in the Spamton NEO fight. This is why Kris freaked out, watching them lose control in an instant and coming to when Spamton had been giving his defeat speech.

- She adores Noelle.

- Ralsei knows she’s there. She knows he does, and she knows he’s hiding something. But until he says something to Susie, she’ll keep her mouth shut

- Angel can SAVE and LOAD without a set save point.

.- She abuses SAVEs and LOADs frequently in battle and is very fast. Unfortunately she takes unnecessary risks and loses a lot of HP to it, hence needing to abuse her LOAD ability.

- Angel resents Kris to the point of wanting to get in their way whenever she feels like bothering them. Despite this, she would never truly hurt them. 

- She does not consider the consequences of her own actions, knowing that at any point she can leave everything up to Kris.

- She is childish, immature, cruel, and incredibly lonely.
