how are you? I hope you've been doing good!

I've been pretty busy with work and I didn't have a lot of energy to watch the kdramas I had on my list but I've been reading a lot on my commutes lol im past my goal of 50 books for this year!

I did watch good detective season 2 which was honestly pretty good!! I didn't remember too much of the 1st season but they gave enough flashbacks that it seemed familiar idk if you watched it but every character except for the dad character was good. I kept getting reality checks of this is just the problems of the top 1% in society so I couldn't relate or care at times -_-

I had save me on my list for so long but I'm so hesitant to start cause I heard it's kind of a lot 😭 I just know the religious schtick of the cult would make me pissed like you said. I've been wanting some lighter shows lately but I'm not taking it off my list!

I still haven't gotten past the 1st ep of 2521 because of the finale!! how can I sit through a cute relationship only to get that ending 😭😭😭 you're so right, we're over relationships in kdramas! I need a good plot and found family and I'll be satisfied (extraordinary attorney woo had such a good couple even if we'll never know taeoh's backstory 😌)

omg I'm glad you liked the killer's shopping list! it's such a weird mix of genres but I think they handled it very well! (cafe minamdang is also on my list! ooh I'm glad it's similar!)

I've had to skip through many scenes of itaewon class :| the writing was just so weird but ahn bo hyun was done dirty by that show! that dye job/color was just so bad 😭

I'll start big mouth ASAP then! I kept seeing super cute gifsets but then people would comment and say the show's actually dark and emotional lol but I like a good mix of happy and sad (just not too sad)

I still haven't resumed dark too 😭 I haven't been productive at all 😭

my mom watched little woman I think and she liked it and I love the cast! it's also really short for a kdrama so it could be another short and good show!

from the new releases, I've heard cheer up was not what people were expecting and i saw mixed reviews so idk if I want it on my list. I do want to watch rookie cops and I heard glitch on netflix is very lesbian coded so it'll be up my alley! I'm also planning on starting law school soon even though it's been so long since you recommended it! I also heard somebody on netflix was good but I didn't hear as any people talking about it so I'm just basing that off of the 2 reviews I've seen lol

Honestly we’re IN SYNC cause I haven’t had the energy to watch a lot of things lately. And I think it started cause I, too, went on a reading binge since September / October of last year that completely shut off my brain for television. What types of books do you read? Is it the same investigation detective streak as your personal taste in tv? I’d love to talk about it

I haven’t watched good detective 2 yet for the reasons mentioned above…… I’ll def have to read about the plot of season 1 first because even with flashbacks I need to know I’m keeping up with the story as it is. It’s on my list for a unforeseeable future.

Yes save me is a lot honestly. I have an overbearing catholic mother so it was. A difficult series to swallow but for some reason I couldn’t stop watching it. It def awakes some raging feelings in you though, I believe even if you don’t have a strong feeling regarding Christianity in the first place like I do.

Bahahahaahahahha about2521 I FEEL YOU. But it’s also so incredibly in touch with the human experience of love and loss and life. It’s more brilliant because it’s over honestly, it sets the show apart from usual romantic dramas. But it’s still a heavy weight in the chest and something lodged on your throat so I get it if you can’t finish it

I never finished big mouth actually T-T I dropped it off by the few last episodes I believe…. It did got a bit dark by the end but the medical improbabilities of it kind of threw me off. It coincided with me dropping television altogether basically so there’s that

(Honestly it’s been so hard for me to enjoy a tv show lately. I kind of fell down the Thai tv rabbit hole and have occupied my mind with that. Some of their shows are really good. From kdrama I think the last one I truly enjoyed was weak hero class 1. The characters are layered in a way that they feel like book characters, it’s something I don’t usually feel when I’m watching television. It was honestly very very good. I’m trying to distract myself with reborn rich now. It’s better than most things in the sense that I can watch perhaps two entire episodes without exhausting the reels feed on my instagram)

Little woman was good!!! I kept up with it as it came out so I think that’s why I managed to get thru the entire thing. That and my love for Kim goeun. Wi hajoon was his usual extremely charming self also.

I didn’t know glitch was lesbian coded but I can assure you from the 2 and a half episodes I watched of somebody, that one Is heavily lesbian. I’ve also started a few episodes of awaken (Netflix) and it sounds like the type of show you’d like. Not even midway thru tho so I can’t promise it’s gonna be good to the end.

no worries, I'm also on here very inconsistently but that really warms my heart <33 I'll do my best to make it worthwhile for you!!

I work as a transportation engineer and it's a pretty niche field but I use programs like autocad on a daily basis

signal ... was definitely a show that I loved in the beginning but it got super dark and sad *cries in corruption* but I agree with that, I hide behind my anger at those types of shows. that being said, the guest and save me is still on my to watch list lol

I still haven't finished twenty five twenty one cause it's not a show I can watch in one setting! it's good but in small doses!!

the time travel shows are really hit and miss cause it throws off everything! but I ignore the time travel and the plot holes cause some of the time travel shows had really good characters

the killer's shopping list was good and short! it is a little odd cause it's more comedy than serious for most parts of the show. it's not the next Stranger but I still enjoyed it!

ahhh the business proposal!!! that show was *chef's kiss* super good! I loved both couples, but the ending was super cliche you could make a drinking game of how many cliches they had in the last episode haha both of the couples were very cute i agrees so they get a pass

prosecuter doberman <33 don't @ me but I didn't think Ahn Bo Hyun was good looking until My Name and Military Prosecuter. Itaewon Class did him so dirty (that show was overhyped too but ignore that if you liked it!) I sped through the last half cause I was hooked! and attorney woo too! I heard the cast went on a vacation on their own personal time and that's so cute of them! I think there may be a season 2 too!!!

ooh! minamdang cafe and big mouth is on my list! let me know if big mouth is similar to the Brazilian drama and your thoughts on it!

I live in the krama universe but I'll check out severence! I've also been meaning to watch The Great on Hulu. I'm currently watch Dark on Netflix (a German scifi show) and it's so complicated in a good way!

I recently rewatched Flower of Evil <333 I plan to start Lawless Lawyer soon and I have so many shows on my radar (once upon a small town, tomorrow, little women, rookie cops, dali and the cocky prince and all the shows you've recommended just to name a few) *cries in having no time*

honestly i watched dark season 1 and it took so long for s2 to come out i forgot everything and it seemed too convoluted for me to keep on going fsdklfdsjjkdsl but ive only ever seen good recs over it

im very excited for little women!!! but it still hasnt arrived on my netflix so i gotta wait till october or smth. im getting by with some weekly releases but thats it.

(Military Prosecuer Doberman is still on my list but I've been in a show slump so I haven't watched it...yet 😭)

I totally understand wanting to watch the lighter shows, I was trying to find shows to watch but I wasn't feeling the darker ones. I think Signal was the darkest show in my opinion. I forget if we talked about it but either it's pretty haunting or I was in my Sensitive™ phase lol

I still need to watch Twenty Five Twenty One, Tomorrow, and Uncanny Encounter (along with like 100s of other kdramas) so I'll update you if when I do!

I've recently watched Life on Mars and The Killer's Shopping List and they're both a mixture of crime/mystery and comedy!

I really enjoyed Life on Mars but I still don't know how I feel about the ending. It's a good ending but there are some pretty heavy implications. Otherwise, it was like a found family crime show and it was great!

I really loved The Killer's Shopping List! It's so short (8 eps) and a lot of the actors stood out to me. They even had a plot line for one the characters that I really enjoyed (if I said it, I'd spoil it haha). There were some plot holes and some things were confusing but I adored the main character and a lot of the side characters.

a business proposal was soooo cute. i was not expecting it to be that cute. the last ep though was. like idk. the ending was every romcom ever written. the whole show was like that but the ending rlly got me laughing on how ridiculously cliche it was. how he gets to korea and off the car and proposes and etc. honestly jfesklfjsiofsjefklssjflsfkslsioefjesoi it was rlly funny. the ending of the second couple too, but idc cause they were cute.

lately ive been watching minamdang cafe (also very behind bc of my netflix), alchemy of the souls and attorney woo. its my go to serotonin for every new ep. also just started big mouth and its.... interesting. there's a brazilian drama that im 99% sure has the same basic plot but im curious to see where it heads.

also going a bit beyond the krama universe, if you have the opportunity to watch severance on apple tv, it's deeeeef worth the hype and time.

OH! and i just saw good detective is going for a round 2? i cant remember the s1 plot for the life of me but i remember watching it through the end. so i guess i have something else to look forward too now as well

I came to say that I was in a bit of a slump so I wasn't able to watch as much as I planned on but I finished When the Camelia Blooms and Bad and Crazy and I loved them both!!

Bad and Crazy was super fun and honestly a breath of fresh air (literally everyone hand in marriage please <3)

When the Camelia Blooms was adorable with a serial killer subplot so that was an interesting choice but the leads were perfect for each other (some of the side characters got on my nerves tho)

I'm watching Our Beloved Summer and I'm about to start Military Prosecuted Doberman and/or Sell Your Haunted House so I'll let you know how they go after! ♥️

I did watch Military Prosecuter Doberman and i was NOT thinking I'd enjoy it this much but i'd wait for new eps every week! Though they did try to give a character a redeeming arc and I could not care less for him. You will NOT catch me slipping!!!! But it was still a good show.

I enjoyed Sell Your Haunted House!!!! I dont think I have any objections about it. It was enough of a blast from start to finish.

Funny I was under the impression I recommended you My Name T^T I tried looking for our old asks but couldn't find anything. I have failed you because I binge watched My Name as soon as it came out and thought it was quite good and not at all what I was expecting from a korean drama. FORGIVE ME

Right now I'm watching lighter things. Dying every week with twenty five twenty one. This show is def gonna be one of my favorites this year, and it will surely get in the top 5 of all times. I'm so soft for it. It's so bittersweet. Nam Joohyuk this is your best work yet and my sanity has left me!!!! Also A Business Proposal is so silly and light and the second lead couple T^T are so cute.

Oh and I'm catching up on Tomorrow too and it's really good!!! It has some Uncanny Counter vibes, Rowon is absolutely thriving in it. I cry on every ep, it's a mess.

hi! :3 it's the mouse anon, back at it again with a recommendation. I still need to watch My Name 😭 but I did finish Hometown Cha Cha Cha and it was amazing 10/10! (I wish one of the side characters was explored more but ┐( ∵ )┌). I'm currently halfway through You Are My Spring and it's a good mix of mystery, crime, and romance. However I don't know how it'll end, but so far I'm liking it :)
