Sleeping mnf Rendia on Ringdoll Kid body 100€

Project doll, price reflects the problems.

Dyed with unfinished faceup. Head is a bit more yellow than the body, but not super noticeable irl. Dye is uneven in some spots (can take additional photos for interested buyers)

Body needs restringing and suede, possibly wiring. I have the Ring Doll box from the body, no coa for either, but bought both from legit collectors.

Can wipe or finish faceup if wanted for no extra cost.

Momocolor Lucy on Luts Honey Self 31 body (plus extra hands) 120€

Hybrid project I abandoned. Body is Luts Dark Tan, head is a bit lighter. It is not as bad as the photos make it look, idk what's the problem with my camera. Can try to take nicer photos with dlsr for interested buyers.

Pretty sure I have a box for the body, I'm not sure if I got a coa from the seller, I'll have to dig out my folder.

Project doll that will need a lot of work, so selling cheap!

It's quite yellowed, and one of the previous owners started sanding it because of that. I'm at least the third owner. I can take additional photos for interested buyers.

It is very loose and will need restringing, possibly needs a new elastic as well.

No coa and no box, but I have photos of the head that originally belonged to it.

All of these were bought from legit collectors and people I trust. I'm strictly pro artist.

I hate the state of my mind right now.

I want to sell some dolls because it feels so cluttered. I know I don't have to DO anything with them, I can just collect them, but at this point, I'm slowly but surely running out of space.

My dolls are pretty to look at and I love them all, wouldn't have bought them otherwise.

But my "Dollieverse" is highly character- and storydriven, so having a bunch of dolls that don't even have a name feels just... wrong.

I know it is bs, but... I'm trying to go with "does it spark joy" etc.

But what do you do when you want to sell, but nobody buys? I have a few sales up and I think they're decently priced? I'm asking A LOT less for each of them than what I paid myself. And still, the best I get is "I'm interested in doll X", and then nothing anymore.

And it gets a little frustrating.

Because at this point I now "have" to go and put dolls for sale where I'm not that sure that I want to sell them. Dolls, that I really like looking at, dolls that had time to get at least a name, or dolls that I feel otherwise attached to (like big tiddie girl which I bought together with my gf).

But idk, they feel like such a waste of space right now...

But then I'm kinda scared. What if I DO sell these now, and the reason why I sold them was just my bad mental state at the moment? All the stress from work, from looking at the looming doom in the world, etc. Or what if I'm just overwhelmed because I added a lot of Detective Conan character dolls to my collection lately. What if that hype cools down sooner than later and then I have all these pretty, but kind of "useless" characters taking up the space and I sold all the others?

I'm mostly just venting at this point. Venting and rambling, trying to sort my thoughts.

I feel like it would all be easier if there were still a market, you know? But everything is so slow and it feels like too much of a hassle to deal with...

And then I haven't even STARTED talking about my fashiondoll collection...

I have quite a few because I took part in quite some swaps over time... and while I hold these dear, I also feel like they are just... taking up space that I could use better?

But what to do if I want to let them go? Should I ask the people that I got them from if they want them back, so they can sell them? Should I just give them away?

sigh.

I don't even know if I want advice for this. A friend keeps telling me to put the dolls away and if I miss them, to keep them, and if I don't miss them, to sell them. But the thing is, this isn't how my brain works. I have some dolls that only exist as floating heads sharing bodies. So while they're not on a body, I don't miss them. And only when it's their time to possess the body, my brain goes back into "oh yeah, that doll exists" mode.

I think the only doll I'd ACTUALLY miss if I put her away would be my MNF Ruth. Everyone else? idk man.

Whatever. I might put some more feelers/sales out there. Keep your eyes open.

Next month will be the anniversary of my sworn brother @ irlbillyhope getting everything in his house stolen by his shitty landlord and given to criminal fence Jim Alan Mueller (Wholesale Jim), who held it for ransom and only gave a fraction back. Because of the amount of time that has passed, my friend having since moved out of the area, and the law coming down on the slumlord behind it all, Jim may feel safe enough to start listing the dolls again.

I'm asking people to please keep an eye out for any ebay or even Facebook sale posts out of the greater Louisville (KY) area or just over the border in Merrillville, IN or neighboring towns that have lots of Ringdolls and old ResinSouls, likely appearing alongside a sizeable amount of furbies.

We'd like to recover as many of the dolls as possible, of course, and I will be posting about of what's still in the wind shortly, but what he misses most are his Minimees of the Gazette. Especially in light of bassist Reita's recent likely suicide. He used to be the bassist in a tribute band, and it would be nice to have that connection back in some form. If nothing else, we ask folks keep an eye out for those heads, or if anyone knows a 3d print shop doing independent Minimees who takes commissions to please tell us.

Had a little photoshoot with Clover 🍀 as soon as we put her in the grass, my mom found a four leaf clover! She held it so perfectly for the photos. I’m so happy that’s she’s done and I’m so proud of how she turned out.

i started out with wanting to make an empty suit of armor filled with sentient vines, but at some point it turned into this wooden elvish person. haunted armors may yet be on the horizon as a future project, but for now, here's the oak knight & their emergency acorn, for trying times.

I'd say like you, it would depend if it looks good? I guess if money weren't an obstacle, I'd be ok with "good enough", if it's my favourite.

I probably wouldn't go for it if I thought "Hm, that looks ugly", because if I want to, I can get a different doll and customise it to look like the character I want.

But yeah, if it doesn't look ugly and I don't have to worry about money or space, yeah, I think I would go for it.

Genuine question: assuming money is no object, if your favorite doll company made a doll of your absolute FAVORITE character, would you want to buy it because of the character alone?

(This doesn't include original characters created by the same company like a monster high draculaura being made by mattel)

For me, I don't think I would if I didn't also find the doll pretty and accurate to their appearance, but then again none of my fav characters have gotten dolls made of them. I know this is a big point of contention for Dollfie Dream fans feeling like the dolls don't resemble their favs at all, like Frieren and Miku.

Alternatively, would you be willing to buy a doll of a character that you don't know, or even dislike, if you thought it looked good?
