The weirdest kind of loneliness, to me, is the crushing weight of people around you, fighting with your longing for connection. It’s like you’re suffocating from all the people you’re seeing but you never seem to connect in a way that matters. And like the answer is that you need more people around and less people around at exactly the same time. It’s waking up and feeling like if you see one more person you’re gonna scream but also if you don’t connect with someone meaningfully you’ll just melt away like you never even existed.
